I think I saw one of these in town the other day - an Obaby Edge, it looked really nice - I don't think I'll get one as I have my BJCM - but it was a very nice looking pushchair!
I have an Obaby Megan "Highchair" for DS - used without the safety bar as he's old enough now - just to make sure he's the right height and properly supported at the table and I have found the quality fab - it was a great value highchair (costing less than £40!) as it's up to about age 10y as an ergonimic seat.
I would hope the obaby pushchair is good quality too.

i like that, but sadly no more buying pushchairs for me, i am on a ban, i now use my xari, orbit, cam and verve, got to sell all the rest, but it takes ages to sell any as i won't sell on ebay, too many problems and people expecting a new looking pushchair when they buy second hand, at least they can see what they are buying when they come round Smile

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 15:03

The Edge looks nice. It's 105cms high which is a good height, large basket, hidden leg support and looks good....nice price too! I am sat here at present having a debate with myself over EBay / BIN / Auctions etc... Lol I am also loathe to post anything in future too. I have more protection as a seller when the buyer picks up. But given we live in the middle of nowhere we don't have a market really for pick up only's. I feel like doing a start at 99p auction but the sensible part of me says do a BIN.

pramsgalore · 08/09/2011 15:43

i read on ebay that if seller pays by paypal and then collects in person you have no proof that item has been collected, so no protection there and also if they arrange their own courier you are still responseable if it goes missing, both have had cases where people have been scamed which is why i don't sell on ebay. i use preloved and gumtree and although both can take a long time, i have sold loads this way, they view before paying and always cash with no £50 notes.

TruthSweet · 08/09/2011 17:14

Umm, I don't know why Which? thinks that the average twin pushchair is 104cm wide when a MB triple is 108cm and a Obaby triple is 102cm???

Also the slimmest the consumer testers found was 84cm wide? Did they look at Baby Weavers and Mothercare 3 wheel twins exclusively?

Weird, weird, weird.

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 17:38

Lol there's any amount of doubles under say 77cms wide - surely news of the 63cm wide Duet must have reached them over the last year??!! I would love to try the Donkey...
Hmmm can you get a receipt on collection for EBay?? Would that count? eBay protection does suck though. We have been stung both as a buyer and seller.

suzie38 · 08/09/2011 17:44

Yes i don't think there was much accurate reasearch in the widths myself.

pramsgalore · 08/09/2011 17:46

don't paypal have a list of what they except as proof, i don't rate ebay really, i buy off there and have been lucky when things have gone wrong, has only happened a few times thank goodness, and one of the times i was not happy ebay phoned me out of the blue and told me they were sorry and issued me a £20 voucher Shock but as a seller not anymore, i used to when you could leave paypal off as an option, but you have to offer paypal now and all my pushchairs are collection only Sad

pramsgalore · 08/09/2011 18:23

Retain proof of delivery that can be tracked online, such as Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. If your buyer picks the item up in person or you can't provide trackable proof of delivery, your transaction will not qualify. This includes items posted with first class postage.

For transactions with a value of £150 or more, you need to provide proof of signature from the recipient

above is what paypal say, its so wrong that you have to offer paypal for collection only items as it clearly states you are not covered.

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 20:22

Sorry but I am still going round in circles re footmuffs., I thought I had it sussed! The quinny ones fitted beautifully onto the Duet, but I have tried to fit my new ones to the Peach today and they just don't work. I can only assume it's the bucket type seat shape? But DD doesn't have enough space really to bend her knees and the Peach footrest is hard to find through a cosy toes so she will end up straightening her legs out and probably bursting the zip. So, do I get the Kaiser XL ones or the Buggysnuggles?? I could open the bottom on each. I prefer the look of the Buggysnuggles but they are also more floppy and the Peach is a definite shape. I wonder if the Kaiser will overhang too much? It's knee room I really need...help because I have spent weeks looking at various cosytoes and just need something that works!

friggFRIGG · 08/09/2011 20:40

i dont know about kaisers, but my buggysnuggles Just Work.and have done on almost all the buggys ive had.
they're soo easy to change about, take off to clean, let muddy boots out the end,zip off the front to leave a liner...and they are snugglySmile

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 20:48

Does your DD still fit into yours? I think there will be more knee room with Buggysnuggles but the website says suitable until the age of 3. I have one of the pesky things somewhere but I can't find it anywhere to try on.

Honeydragon · 08/09/2011 20:54

Did someone want a bebe comfort elite or parts a while ago?

there is none on ebay at 99p ending tomorrow.

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 21:10

My BJCM4 comes in on Monday...except I am now dithering about whether an Elite would be better! Arrghhh!

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 21:12

Oh and the B-Agile apparently comes in on Friday!!! Which would you get?

friggFRIGG · 08/09/2011 21:17

yes,she still fit's in nicely, with knees naturally bent.

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 21:29

Cool, that's what I need to know. It's not cheap for two....£120! The Kaisers are a lot less. How's the house hunting going?

Honeydragon · 08/09/2011 21:31

there is one on ebay Blush teach me to post and fly

friggFRIGG · 08/09/2011 21:44

i know,it nearly killed me to pay £120 for two!

house hunting is going well, off to the bank next week to talk about mortgage's...found about 4 houses i really like of varying prices,as im not sure what they'll offer usConfused

Tiggywunkle · 08/09/2011 21:50

Yay re houses. Fingers crossed for the bank visit.

Buggysnuggles have been ordered :) I found them cheaper elsewhere (they weren't on the site last week ) so that's good :)

MonkeysPunk · 08/09/2011 22:48

I always list Bin with requirement to pay immediately by paypal. I start off with a cheeky price, and list for 30 days.
Large and clear photos are a help to any potential long distance buyers.

Where are the cheaper buggy snuggles on sale please? X

OP posts:
sillyworriedmama · 09/09/2011 17:17

hello everyone, hope you're having a lovely friday. I may have found a legit reason to buy a third buggy for my DS. (HURRAH!) I need to walk the dog and can't manage to carry him far in our backpack these days. It was a pain in the butt trekking across grass with the bloody maclaren today. So... expert opinions needed. I have a small, old Citroen Avantage that I need to fit both dog and 3 wheeler all terrain buggy into. Can't fold down the back seat because DS and his car seat are in the back. So, what's the best, proper offroad/all terrain I can buy with the smallest folding dimensions, preferably second hand, and under £150? I want to have a reason to buy a phil and teds sport, but is it really good off road, or should I go for a Jane or Mountain Buggy? I don't need to run, but it has to be able to handle the New Forest tracks.

sillyworriedmama · 09/09/2011 17:33

There's a Jane Nurse Dakar on ebay that I'm looking at. Anyone seen these before?
