If it's anything like the 2 American footmuffs i have it won't be fleece lined...I much prefer real Bugaboos or custom ones...You'll still be able to operate the handle without a hole...i can manage my Donkey recline handle with the Cameleon customs over the top.

fairimum · 31/08/2011 18:38

hmmm might have to make another trip to windsor to see if they will let us look at one! Will consider getting a snunkie one as DS LOVES the cuddle fleece liner we have from them!! thank you :)

ooo and LOVING uppababy customer service, thought it was a bit weird that they have an all over raincover rather than the zip in (still have the zip in bug net though), so emailed them asking if could buy the zip in cover anywhere as thought be good to take on what should be sunny days as be smaller etc! jsut got this reply -

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your e-mail. If you could send me your address, we will send you a zip raincover with our compliments. We changed the raincover to the 'all over' style as the zip on cover didn't cover the hood vent. As this is just a mesh, typical British sideways rain could get in and drip on baby's head.

Yours sincerely, Richard

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 19:14

There is one of the old type for sale at Winstanleys that is furry lined. Thats the one I would get.

aswellasyou · 31/08/2011 19:14

fairi, that's fantastic customer service! I was just reading about your pregnancies/births, how horrible for you all. I can understand why your husband is reluctant to have another child.

Frigg, the Verve sounds great. I really like the look of it-I'm not into pointy three wheelers like other P&Ts and I like the style of the chassis. How upright does the second seat go?

Tiggy, when's BB coming back online?

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 19:16

Thanks - we didn't know it was down.

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 19:40

It's back again :) Someone please message me next time :) :)

aswellasyou · 31/08/2011 19:41

Back in action! It had been down for at least a few hours-it didn't occur to me to let you know! Blush I just thought you were doing some site maintenance.

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 19:46

I have done some comparison photos today using the Duet, and it's been really interesting. I often talk about people's views about pushchairs being perceptional. The Duet feels a bit like a Dolls pram because it feels low and neat. The Elite feels large. But when you put the two side by side, it's a matter of centimetres different. Side by side comparisons are what I love doing. For example with tandems there is often a lot of overhang at the back if the front seems short. Handlebars can make a huge difference too - phil&teds and in fact the Duet too, come further out than you think at the back. Interesting but pram geeky stuff!

fairimum · 31/08/2011 19:59

hmmm not sure want a furry one as the newer ones look like they are lined with that cuddle fleece?? guess going to ahve to go and see it!

TruthSweet · 31/08/2011 20:03

Anyone got a Brio Sitty? There is one for sale on a FB group for £15 and I am very tempted Blush because I need more prams....

friggFRIGG · 31/08/2011 20:13

the second seat is nice and upright in the upright position,DS looked really comfy in it at each level,he loves the top seat too,
DD was a bit tired to try out the 2nd seat when she got back from nursery, but we'll try tomorrowGrin

i LOVE the look of it,and its really functional for what i need it for....

ive just been off playing with it a bit moreGrin
i think ive figured the hood, bit floppy, but it'll do,at least the top one is nice and stable.
My red star fur buggysnuggles fit, could be better though...
the raincover has never even been used, and the whole thing is in absolutely perfect condition!tiggy is an absolute starGrin

ive had an otherwise top of the league shite day,so the verve has been a really lovely distraction Smile

TruthSweet · 31/08/2011 20:13

Tiggy - I love the comparison pictures. It really brings it home just how much perception over rides reality at times. I had someone laugh at my 'massive' First Wheel City Twin when I was getting off the bus. I had the last laugh though as the double umbrella buggy she had didn't fit where I had just been Grin Grin

friggFRIGG · 31/08/2011 20:19

truth i think its a doll's pram...

TruthSweet · 31/08/2011 20:23

There is a lot of dolls pram versions of it but it's a real child's pram too.

See page 50-51

TruthSweet · 31/08/2011 20:25

Well even if it was a dolls pram that would be fine. The DDs have a Silver Cross pram, a M&P pram, a Hauck twin Infinity (oh if they made a real one), a crappy Graco pram on it's last legs due to DD2 riding in it, and two umbrella strollers.....

friggFRIGG · 31/08/2011 20:30

awwh thats a cute pictureGrin

friggFRIGG · 31/08/2011 20:32

DD's not really into prams, shes got an old mamas and papas one,an ubrella fold and a peppa pig pram, but she'd rather put her mermaid in a sling and ride her bike/scooterGrin

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 20:36

We like our tandem Quinny dolls pram. DH wouldn't spend the extra on it so we bought DD the single version. I warned DH that she wouldn't settle for a single pushchair given most of ours are tandems, and within minutes she had stacked the car seat on top and wedged the pushchair seat underneath and then got cross when it eventually fell off.DH relented but now we have two near identical pushchairs!
I am so glad you are happy Frigg. I think I am a good person to buy off because I barely use anything! The sun and storm covers were new. I never even peeked inside. Sorry the rest of your day was bad. How did the nursery visit go?

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 20:39

I like the look of Suzie's Brio....

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 20:41

Ooohh I like the Oyster better apart from the colour..but you can change that...hmmm,.

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 21:22

Ok..someone here much have tried a Zoom either the old version or the O'Baby one? I was supposed to be borrowing one but it never emerged. I once parked my BJCS next to one and couldn't see much difference in length. But OH thought the quality was poor when we looked another day in Mothercare.a couple of shop owners have said they don't recommend them because bits break etc and are expensive to replace out of warranty. I feel like I should try one....but it's a lot of money...hmm...especially after buying the Easywalker earlier. But I won't have my City Sekect much longer, so now is the time to get one...if it's worth it?

suzie38 · 31/08/2011 21:27

Someone was suppose to look at my Oyster tonight but 2 hours later, emailed to say she had car troubles and couldn't afford a new buggy at the moment...In the last 2 weeks i've seen 2 carrot Oysters...I've also got an apple pack but i need to clean a mark off the hood before listing it...Though it's more yellow than green, Golden Delicious color!!!

DD might be getting the dolly Quinny Zapp for Christmas...It's in the loft at the moment...DD has 12 pushchairs i think...Last one was a purple Hauck imitation but actually suits her better at the moment as it's smaller...Cost £2 from a car boot sale...Will eventually get a proper Hauck as it's pretty identical to the real ones...We could do with a double of some kind as she has so many soft toys that sit in them...Mind you i think i'd keep it at the church hall for use there as so much more space to use it, than our tiny house.

friggFRIGG · 31/08/2011 22:08

ohh i just LOVE THE VERVE,i cannot wait to take it out tomorrow!Grin

i hope its super sunny,so i get to use the sunshadeGrin

DD's nursery went okay, she was a bit worried about being left,so were going up tomorrow,to try again.

Tiggywunkle · 31/08/2011 22:59

Awww....I hope she is ok tomorrow. I hope you get to use the sunshade.
My DD is relishing leaving me...she keeps telling me I can't go in with her!! LOL! She's a little too overconfident for my liking!!

friggFRIGG · 31/08/2011 23:07

Grin thats exactly what DD's been saying all week, "no mummy, you not come in,my big girl"
but when she got there, she decided it would be "better" if i went in too Grin

when does your DD start?
