You don't pay fees transferring from your own bank account do you? Do you?! I've just done it on my own PP account so I hope not! But if you mean to another person's PP account I guess you need to transfer to your own account first and then send as a gift. Or maybe you could gift it and it'll do an instant transfer from your bank account. I don't know what I'm talking about at all!Hmm

aswellasyou · 27/08/2011 21:23

You two are so cute!Grin

Tiggywunkle · 27/08/2011 22:20

Lol Frigg now owns a Verve :)
I keep trying to persuade her to move close by and then we have a friend to play and talk pushchairs with and for Frigg to have drunken wunking nights with (anyone who doesn't know the story will probably take that completely the wrong way won't they and think we are nutters!! Hmm) lol!

Now completely off topic I am looking for a wooden garage for my car / train / Bob the builder / Thomas / Chuggington little girly (she takes after me - I didn't play with dolls but loved my cars, garage and train set!!!) But I don't want one with rubbish plastic or wooden ramps which fall off constantly. Am I showing my age when I say I had an original Fisher Price Garage where the ramps were fixed? I have even considered buying DD an orginal one off Ebay as I still have my FP house, airport, school, swimming pool, bus and bits which she loves. But a nice wooden non falling apart garage would be great. Has anyone got one they can recommend that works well?

suzie38 · 27/08/2011 22:44

I'm tempted to buy DD the vintage Little People things as they're far nicer than the crap plastic rubbish these days plus they're smaller...She currently has 2 houses...Best bet is to look at educational suppliers...Melissa and Doug make great wooden toys but i've never seen a garage though.

suzie38 · 27/08/2011 22:46

Tiggy once or twice a year i enter your neck of the woods for a day out to the seaside.

Honeydragon · 27/08/2011 22:51

Suzie what do you mean by vintage?

Honeydragon · 27/08/2011 22:53

aargh pressed to early!

The peg type people ones from the '80's Grin

suzie38 · 27/08/2011 22:54

From the 70's/early 80's...Though some Fisher Price goes back to the 60's...DD has 2 Little Snoopy's which are far superior to the plastic drivel that looks like a Shitzu dog...No offence to Shitzu owners but mum and i can't stand the yappy things.

suzie38 · 27/08/2011 22:56

Yes the little Little People...Robyn's house has the same set i shared with my sister.

Honeydragon · 27/08/2011 22:56

They were lovely Smile

suzie38 · 27/08/2011 22:58

I was so jealous of the neighbors kids who had the school house and we only had a few bits of furniture...Hence the reason i spoil DD with lots of toys i'd have coveted as a child because i know i'd never have got them.

Tiggywunkle · 27/08/2011 23:21

Hey Suzie, come and see me if you ever come for a paddle :) It's lovely here :) We have the FP peg people. We have loads of toys and books but a load were mine, a good quantity were from nanny charges who grew out of them, and I bought the staples on EBay like Brio, Duplo etc. I think there's also a difference between a spoilt child and one who has lots of toys :) It's rare DD gets anything new not because I am tight but there are such bargains etc on EBay :) and it's fun finding them :)

Tiggywunkle · 27/08/2011 23:24

Oh and I coveted a Fisher Price record player as a child...so I got one for me last Christmas. Its my second one as I old one to buy the modern version...but it's run on batteries Shock... so got returned and I had to buy another!!

Tiggywunkle · 28/08/2011 16:03

I know I am asking the impossible here but you may have ideas out of the box. When we go swimming, we need the pushchair to sit DS in whilst we all get changed. However there is nowhere to leave a pushchair and DH has to walk back through the leisure centre with the pushchair once we are ready to leave it at reception (they told us not to leave it anywhere as they have been stolen in the past). I thought we could park the folded Noa by the pool but apparently not. The lockers are standard size ie big enough for a rucksack bag of clothes. But do you think any pushchair could fit in one? I can't now find the Quicksmart back pack, nor am I sure it would fit anyway. Any other ideas outside of the box to get him from the car until we are changed. I need a long term solution. There is only one changing table which has been taken previously. I don't think you can get a smaller fold pushchair...although I have seen one in the past but have no idea whatit was called.

FriggFRIGG · 28/08/2011 16:57

My friends had a backpack carrier, with a stand on,so that when you put it down,it became a sort of chair....any good?

FriggFRIGG · 28/08/2011 16:58

bit like this

FriggFRIGG · 28/08/2011 16:59

this!

MonkeysPunk · 28/08/2011 17:30

would an old-style quinny zapp fit in a locker at the leisure center?

OP posts:
MonkeysPunk · 28/08/2011 17:36

MonkeysPunk · 28/08/2011 17:58

OP posts:
suzie38 · 28/08/2011 18:06

It's absolutely awful!!!

Tiggywunkle · 28/08/2011 18:27

The link won't work on my phone :( I need to measure the lockers I think. Those backpacks are an idea but I don't think I could use one on my own and they probably won't fit the lockers. The Zapp is too large. Maybe there's an invention to be created here?
