New thread for buggy collectors! Grin

Now I'm using it is am main pram I have the dreaded wheel judder. I am willing to accept the harness and the sliding seat back when a liner is on go, as they are design faults.

The wheels originally did it speed and when empty, I queried it instore and MC said it was the design.

Well they do it with dd in going slowly. MC and other stores have on just been informed by Bugaboo that this is a actual FAULT in some of the Bees. However I am getting mixed messages. At one point I have been told new wheels fix the issue and at another I will be sent a bolt and washer?!

And they keep telling me the pram is safe? I wouldn't be using it if it wasn't but its not meant to bloody wobble at half a grand worth of pram!

Not happening, I want the pushchair I was sold and the issue to be fully addressed with a guarantee of no further problems. What has really annoyed me is MC cannot help, Bugaboo have insisted everything now goes direct to them as they no which models are affected and how. I called my local John Lewis they have had the same info.

I have emailed Bugaboo with all the info they asked for and my concerns. I have heard mixed reviews about their customer service so shall wait and see.

Don't get me wrong, I utterly LOVE my Bee +, but for £200 less I could have got a old style Bee in MC with no FAULTS as opposed to paying for a new and improved version Hmm

I am not accepting anything until I get clarification where exactly they deem the issue to be. When I do I will let you all know Smile

MonkeysPunk · 26/08/2011 14:18

I would be pleased to hear if they do solve the wheel wobble issue. Also, how it is fixed. Like you said, an expensive pram so this issue needs sorting!
Just washed off the nipper ready to photograph. It came up nice and clean. Stool rain here. Will have to do forest another day (as outing involves mile to railway and back aswell as forest walk).

OP posts:
MonkeysPunk · 26/08/2011 14:20

still rain.....lol @ stool rain. Eww!

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 26/08/2011 14:22

Well, according to Bugaboo the majority of pushchairs don't have the issue, but the ones that do don't warrant notifying the purchaser

Honeydragon · 26/08/2011 14:22

We have to go out but not if its raining stools Grin

FriggFRIGG · 26/08/2011 14:27

i LOVE the verve!Grin

its sooo compact!
both kids fit nicely, and have a comfortable seat for sleeping or being awake!
i dont have to hunch over to push it,i can take a full stride and i dont kick the bottom child,it feels like pushing a single!
i can even hang a bag from the handle bar and it wont hit DS on the head if he's in the bottom
it's really stable, because of the two front wheels,so if DD jumps out of the front,it doesnt feel tippy AT ALL.
the fold is nice and neat....
i cant believe how much i like it!

i also tried out the 4 wheel BJCM it is awesome!

and the bee+,its not all that really,if i was going to get a bee,id just get a older version,i dont see many plus's tbh,and neither could the lady in store.

the staff at the oxford pram center are BRILLIANT,really very helpful, one of them showed me the pushchairs, and another lady entertained DD!Grin
they even let the DC play with the pushchairs, and didnt mind at all when they pushed the BJCM around the store!

i had a fantastic time, and i know now the verve will be GREAT.
im not even sure i'll bother buying another single,as even next to the BJCM4 it doesnt seem that big!

Grin Grin Grin GrinGrin

(oh and i dont even have to package up the kobi as the lady is going to collect!Grin)

MonkeysPunk · 26/08/2011 15:53

So pleased the verve is good for you, and that your kobi will be collected! Fab turn around in only a few days. Hope next week is sunny, and firstly you get a verve and secondly can at last go out again! :)
Finally got Ds down for a nap and am going to photo the nipper.

That's brilliant news Frigg on both fronts!!! I'm still pondering on the Xari as i really love my Donkey but at the same time there are better features on the Xari.

Tiggywunkle · 26/08/2011 17:14

I am glad you are happy Frigg. It sounds like you had a fun adventure.

I am pondering footmuffs again. Out of the ones I have here, surprisingly the Quinny ones fit the best. But I only have one...and I need a matching pair.

So, do I buy two new ones from Mothercare on their buy one get the second half price deal (they aren't the same as the one I have here), or do I bite the bullet and buy two Bugaboo ones which is what I wished I had got last year....or will my daughter not fit the Bugaboo one well?? Without trying one I won't know...but Bugaboo things usually come all sealed up which maker returns hard but without trying her I won't know. Hubby wont even talk to me about it because until the Duet gets a new hood he doesn't want to use it (he likes things to look ordered and the same and its irritating him so much he doesn't want to push it).

I would have to drive a 3 hour round trip to a shop to see one....

MonkeysPunk · 26/08/2011 18:09

I have tried the nomad footmuff on the BJ summit. It fits really well! May keep now as I can zip top completely off leaving soft fleecy liner. Perfect for cold mornings then warm afternoons in Autumn.

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 26/08/2011 18:10

I have decided on the Quinny ones. I have just seen a photo of the Bugaboo ones and I prefer the Quinny ones. However there aren't enough in stock online at Mothercare for the offer :(
So I now need to find two cheap black ones from somewhere!! I doubt I will get the matching pair to mine new. There aren't any on Ebay :(

Honeydragon · 26/08/2011 18:11

Glad you had a good play Frigg Grin

aswellasyou · 26/08/2011 18:13

suzie, there's a Xari on eBay at the moment although it seems a bit expensive to me considering you don't get a guarantee.

Frigg I am so glad you're so impressed with the Verve and that the Kobi's going to a good home and that Tiggy gets to sell her Verve. Smile We're all doing quite well all of a sudden!

We really are in love with our B-Dual. I've bought two matching black footmuffs for £11 each from Tesco. I'd prefer purple but I don't think it's worth paying an extra £25-£30 each seen as the black match the bumper bar and strap covers.

Tiggy, I feel like the Quinny footmuff is a tad longer than the Bugaboo. Do you want me to measure the length of the Bugaboo one for you?

aswellasyou · 26/08/2011 18:25

I forgot to say we saw a woman with a Bugaboo Donkey in the park yesterday. She had twins in carrycots on it (I'm guessing they were about 4-5 months old), she was casually breastfeeding and looking fabulous at 1pm. I was so jealous of her perfection! Envy I'm always a mess with one older baby and am rarely out before 1 o'clock, and she had a Donkey.

Today, we went to the same park and were sitting next to two more sets of twins. There must be something in the water round there. Hmm

aswellasyou · 26/08/2011 19:20

Tiggy, were these the ones you were looking at? I've been able to add two to my basket.

Tiggywunkle · 26/08/2011 19:30

Lol, twins are hard hard work! I once looked after newborn quads! They were run to a strict timetable because it was the only way to cope! Hubby has just told me he will sell the Taga so I can get a Donkey - he wants an electric bike an trailer - he is dangling carrots because he knows I don't want the children generally in a trailer although to be fair to him the routes away from the main road are quiet and there is a bike track to the beach!
I am happy Frigg is getting the Verve. It's virtually new. I got my money back on the Jane yesterday - the seller claims a steam washer brought it all off - but we don't have one and I am not convinced because I scrubbed and scrubbed. I am sure it will be back on EBay soon. The Joovy has sold. I am sad about it really because DD and I enjoyed it. But DH made me choose what to keep :(
Aswellasyou, the Footmuffs sound great. I just need to find some now! The Phil&Teds ones we have measure the longest but DD could barely get her feet in. So it must have laid in the Duet funny.

Tiggywunkle · 26/08/2011 19:32

Ooohhh well one aswellasyou! I hadn't spotted those and they are cheaper! Whoohooo! You guys are good at finding bargains :O Thank youuuuu!

aswellasyou · 26/08/2011 19:45

I thought you must haved missed them or someone had since cancelled their order. I love bargain hunting! I wish I could make a living out of it. Grin

Tiggywunkle · 26/08/2011 19:51

Well tell me first if you spot bargains! :) The same Footmuffs appear to be listed elsewhere on the site. They came up as an option when checking out. I had one in my basket. It's neat how Mothercare give you free delivery based on your order and then discount you :) £37.50 for two delivered :) I am very chuffed! Thank you Aswellas :)

FriggFRIGG · 26/08/2011 20:04

oh i looked at the p&t smart too,it so weird WHY would you make such low close together handles that arent extendible at all? Confused
the seat is tiny and hard if you put in the cushy ride liner,it looks lovely and squidgy, but make it even tinyer! my 11 month old looked MASSIVE in it.

aswellasyou · 26/08/2011 20:11

OK Tiggy.Smile If anyone wants a Britax footmuff, this is the one I got. It's the B-Lite one but it fits my B-Mobile and is normal sized.

suzie38 · 26/08/2011 20:33

aswellasyou Thanks for spotting the Xari but if i did buy from overseas i can get it for around £770 with no postage from an online shop, but thinking it's best to stick to JL in case something goes wrong...pramsgalore had a slight issue with one of her wheels...Cheeky Rascals at the Manchester Baby Show is selling a few reduced Xari's off though i only want the Cosmo model and i'm guessing it'll be the regular color ways.

Tiggywunkle · 26/08/2011 20:39

Ooohhhh are they, Suzie? I fancy going to the Baby Show...
Frigg, I am glad it's not just me that thinks the handles are so close together on the Smart I actually found it an unnatural and uncomfortable position. Did you fold it?

aswellasyou · 26/08/2011 20:46

Oooh interesting! I wonder what the discounts will be like. I've been tempted to go too but that makes it even more interesting.

suzie38 · 26/08/2011 20:48

£599
