Is the Verve lighter than the Vibe to push then? And does it do what the others failed to do?
You've said too many times that you hate P&Ts so I'm concerned for your sanity if this doesn't fix the problems you had with the others.GrinWink

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 23:03
Grin im concerned for my sanity too....but it does seem to have ironed out the niggles....
aswellasyou · 22/08/2011 10:55

It better have done! Grin

Tiggywunkle · 22/08/2011 12:20

Who has the bike with the front box? What is it called please? We have the cycling bug now and are debating selling the Taga for something else....ideally a front carrier with electric motor - I know Nihola do one but they are expensive! Or getting an electric bike for DH for the nursery run with an interchangeable trailer, so I can take the children to the beach. I can't find the one whoever it is has. I know its a 'bab' something! Thanks!

FriggFRIGG · 22/08/2011 13:06

i think its monkey who has one....

FriggFRIGG · 22/08/2011 19:26

does anyone one know where i can see a p&t verve in the flesh?in or near hampshire...

monkey in particular...did you see one on your recent excursion?

MonkeysPunk · 22/08/2011 21:41

Lol Friggfrigg, its not me with the bike with front box! We have a weehoo tag seat.
Sorry I didn't see a verve that I noticed. :(
If only there was an actual release date for the uppababy rumble seat. I would say take a look at the Vista. However, I only have experience of it as a single. It's fab as a single. I've no idea how it is with the rumble seat on but would hope it was still fab.

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 22/08/2011 23:48

Hopefully my rumble seat will be here soon....I can't wait to open the magic white Vista box...but I suspect it will be a transient pushchair.... because of the 15kg rumble seat limit.
But my Duet should finnnnnallllllllyyyyyy be here on Wednesday....fingers and toes crossed.....and my secret insurance policy arrives tomorrow :o

Arrgh - I sold my beloved Loola U P as we just don't get the use out of it on a local buy and sell group on FB. The buyer was happy with it as I reduced the price - was originally asking for £60 but when I got it out of the cupboard it was a bit grubby and as I had to wash it I lowered the price to £45 and threw in an old used buggy board. It looked immaculate though when sold.

She is now messaged me to tell me she isn't happy with it and the frame isn't solid and the back wheels look like they bow. It's a 2008 pushchair for £45 with a buggy board thrown inShock what did she expect?

Any advice?

Tiggywunkle · 23/08/2011 01:41

Don't talk to me about second hand pushchairs lol I'm in a nightmare at present. How long ago did she take it? Less than a week and I would refund her, more than a week I would tell her she's had plenty of time to try it out? Sometimes it's easier just to give money back and start again....however frustrating it may be.

MonkeysPunk · 23/08/2011 07:57

Crossing my fingers you love the Vista, but if its not for you Friggfrigg can buy it!
My mum pushed my vista home yesterday (she is visiting) and liked it very much) she is nearing 70 and found it easy to push and steer, even with sleeping 3y old.
Ds was so funny when I sat him in it yesterday. We've mostly been using the nipper for off road outings, so facing away. I put him in the vista facing me as he was in desperate need of a nap, after two days without. Before we had even got down the garden path he was complaining that I wasn't talking! He kept saying "talk mummy talk to me"! Lol.

AAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiggywunkle · 23/08/2011 10:33

It's fine...be patient :) Hugs
The Vista plus Rumble seat is very 'me'. I like tandems like that eg Peach Blossom, BJCS, Contours etc and I have wanted one for ages. I haven't found any site where the Rumble seat says it will take over 15kgs though and US weight limits are usually generous.

aswellasyou · 23/08/2011 20:06

We picked up our B-Dual today. It's lovely in purple with the black chassis. We only had a quick go with it in single mode round the supermarket so not a lot to say about it yet. So far, I like the attention to detail on it though.

The shop didn't have the Strawberry in unfortunately. Sad It's actually a really small shop run by a family with a warehouse out the back, but their prices are really good. I bought a Bugaboo seat liner while I was there too. Smile

Tiggywunkle · 23/08/2011 20:27

That all sounds positive :) I hope you like it. Hmmm..a Bugaboo liner may be useful for me. I am contemplating buying Bugaboo Footmuffs though. What's the betting by the time I decide the Mothercare offer has ended?

sillyworriedmama · 23/08/2011 21:53

ooooh hops around in excitement I've found people to share my obsession with buggies with!!!

I'm getting so bored with my icandy cherry... I've had a britax b-mobile (which we literally left outside our house for someone to take away I hated it so much) and I have a 2011 denim maclaren quest for the nursery run (the buggy sheds are small and everything gets treated like crap when all the mums are in a hurry and squeeze them in).

I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want a 4 wheel crimson BJCM so badly it hurts but I think DH may actually divorce me if I mention another buggy out loud. Does anyone know of any amazing icandy accessories that I can fit to the cherry that might make me love it again? I love the fact it has a big basket, but other than that it's a bit boring. I think when DS is 18mo at Christmas I might be able to wangle the 'he's a bit tall for it' to DH so I can sell it on and swap for a BJCM... if I can wait that long!!

TruthSweet · 23/08/2011 21:58

Well we showed the buy round the pushchair and I think she hadn't been putting it up right so she is now happy with it.

DH is missing the Loola UP though and has admitted to being a closet pram hun himself (he started explaining how the chassis was different on the Loola to the Loola UP even though we have never owned a Loola Shock I didn't know he cared!)

FriggFRIGG · 23/08/2011 21:59

hello silly! you know you need a BJCM...its calling youGrin

i think DP got numb to it after the 13th or 14th....hmmm,im currently drooling over tiggy's P&T verve, but ive got to sell my Mima Kobi first....might sell the micralite superlite too....hmmm

TruthSweet · 23/08/2011 22:00

Does anyone know if any of the pushchairs for children with disabilities will take a buggy board?

sillyworriedmama · 23/08/2011 22:07

hehe hello frigg it really is!! I've just bookmarked the shopping page of BHS direct. It's only a matter of time... I think I'll just do it without telling DH and see if he notices! the cherry is black though, I think he'd be blind not to! Grin

suzie38 · 23/08/2011 22:13

Luckily my DH doesn't bat an eyelid these days though i'm slightly struggling with the Xari because of the seat size.

Tiggywunkle · 23/08/2011 22:17

Hi Silly. Just to warn you this lot are TERRIBLE! Lol they show you all sorts and then convince you that you NEED one! I have a Crimson BJCM4 on order...with the next BJ shipment :) I have drooled over once since March. I need to sell my 3 wheeler at some point. But I can't wait! I don't know about the special needs buggies but there is a great tandem that takes a car seat and then a second set. Long term I am eyeing up an Urban Jungle or Elite both of which can take a stroller board. I have no ideas for Cherry accessories other than a new liner or footmuff for winter. Sorry!

FriggFRIGG · 23/08/2011 22:17

well suzie if you'd like to try out a kobi,to test the seat size, ive got a lovely cheap one right here WinkGrin
honestly though,i think your DD will be fine,my average sized 3yo fits fine in it,her head just touches the hood.

Tiggywunkle · 23/08/2011 22:18

My OH does still question whether it's a pushchair that is staying or passing through. The latter are fine, the former get quizzed over!!

Tiggywunkle · 23/08/2011 22:19

Suzie you would get easily a year if not more from a Mima. My DD is just heading into age 4-5 clothes and was fine a month or so ago! Your DD is petite!
