New thread for buggy collectors! Grin

Well i've just measured the Donkey seat depth and it's the same as the Kobi's according to T's site...Think the reason DD does look too big is that the footrest isn't as long so DD's knees are pushed higher up...Plus the seat is solid with a thick seat cushion...The Donkey seat is soft foam filled fabric so DD leg's dangle at an angle rather than the 90 degrees in the Xari...DH isn't so keen but if i sell the Donkey afterwards then i've not spent much extra money minus Donkey depeciation plus all the customs i have would make a fair bit of money.

aswellasyou · 21/08/2011 19:22

Do you think you'll buy it then? I wonder if there's any chance they'd price match to a European seller. It's probably unlikely but may be worth asking. The staff there don't tend to be that knowledgeable to bo honest. I often find myself stepping in uncontrollably when another customer asks a question they can't answer!Blush But they're all very friendly and willing to be corrected.Wink Not like M&P or Mothercare in Birmingham or Merry Hill.

AARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AngrySadConfused

suzie38 · 21/08/2011 20:45

What's up Frigg???

aswellasyou · 21/08/2011 21:00

Are you complaining about your lack of pushchair again Frigg? Wink Have you had any offers for the Kobi yet?

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 21:16

no,frigging Ebay removed my listing for a breach of terms,as i had icandy in the title.
then they made me do a tutorial on their terms!
finally ive relisted but not as many people will find it and ive lost my 24 watchers....

i also had a shite day out with DD running off in all directions and lying on the floor refusing to move,i had no where to put her,so i had to carry all 2 and a half stone of her, screaching, back home.

ive also been looking at the +one and realized it isnt really going to work out for me as DD is just going to kick DS under the seat/pull his hair/i wont be able to get her into the back seat without her kicking DS in the head.

suzie38 · 21/08/2011 21:24

Any idea what pushchair will work for the both of them???

aswellasyou · 21/08/2011 21:33

How irritating about your listing! Hopefully the watchers will look for it again, wondering what happened to it. You really do need a double with that sort of trouble! How about asking this seller if they'd sell now and you can collect it?

Tell us exactly what you want from your pushchair. Maybe something's been overlooked.Grin

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 21:35

No

i think im going to get a verve.
i have given up trying to find The Perfect Double.
the p&t has faults, some are ironed out in the verve, the one's that arent i THINK i can live with.
DD is only in the buggy if she's being difficult,so i dont really care if she isnt brillantly comfortable in the bottom,it will fit through the front door,it can be a single, they cant hurt each other.IT HAS HARNESS'S.

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 21:39

thanks aswell,i might try to get hold of them.

right from a buggy,i need:
it to fit through my door,74cm(widest)
they cant hurt each other.
i like them to feel smallish
can be a single
tall handle (im 5'8 with a long stride and i HATE kicking the back.)
at least a small recline for both seats.
looks good
decent wheels.

i think thats all...

suzie38 · 21/08/2011 21:42

How old is your DD??? The Verve sounds like it's what your looking for and as you say she's not in the pushchair full time.

MonkeysPunk · 21/08/2011 21:42

Oh no Friggfrigg! Sorry your listing was pulled. Ebay is a pita at times. :(
I really hope your kobi sells soon and you find a good double in the meantime.

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 21:45

thanks guys! suzie, she's 3,but difficult, and we walk long distance's,the verve weight capacity is REALLy high too!and i reckon when she's tierd, she'd just sit in it and draw.

still,i cant frigging buy one until the Kobi sells....

Tiggywunkle · 21/08/2011 22:05

Sorry to hear the listing got pulled :( I spotted it when I searched for iCandy the other day. I got a ad pulled once for using the manufacturers photo Grr! It's a pain to relist them. I have messaged you about the Verve. It could well suit you. It certainly looks stunning. It doesn't suit me because I need to carry shopping home and I need the storage (without me having to carry it!) I can't live with the niggles. It's better left up than folding it TBH but it does fold neatly.

Tiggywunkle · 21/08/2011 22:08

Suzie, it was good to hear you liked the Xari. The Mimas are stunning. At least with an overlap you can try the Xari out before selling the Donkey. The measurements I ave are taken with the seat cushion on. I always measure as you would have a child on. Plus you need the seat pad to get the harness :)

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 22:14

it think my main concern is thE handle, but TBH,if a HANDLE is my biggest ishoo,i can get over it!Grin
i really think its the best suited to my needs ATM.how does it function as a single?does it feel 'to big' to be a single IYSWIM?IE THE b-DUAL,FOR ME 'FELT' TO BIG TO USE AS A SINGLE...

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 22:14

oh1 sorry about caps!

Tiggywunkle · 21/08/2011 22:16

Hmmm...it's hard to say. I prefer it as a single though and I like the way you can tuck the second seat up under the main seat. I think the B-Dual feels bigger....but in reality the B-Dual is actually smaller. It's a very good optical illusion :)

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 22:18

im easily fooled by optical illusionsGrin

i think im sold on it,reallySmile

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 22:18

DP really likes it too!

Tiggywunkle · 21/08/2011 22:25

It looks gorgeous....I had hankerings to keep it. DH likes it too.

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 22:27

i want it!!

aswellasyou · 21/08/2011 22:42

Frigg, what issues did you have with the previous P&Ts? To me, the Verve and Vibe look better than the others for giving the bottom child a good view.

Tiggywunkle · 21/08/2011 22:44

The Kobi will go soon...it just takes one buyer. Did you ever get the harness?
We went to a car boot sale today. DH wanted me to buy a MB Terrain but it was a bit rusty! I looked an an Aria 50/50 and wondered how a child fits into a 40 seat when the 60 half has the car seat on? It looked very small next to the Peach. If it had been in better nick I probably would have bought it to try. But I am sure DD would have been way too big for it. Instead we ended up with piles of Thomas and Bob the Builder books and jigsaws and a couple of baby toys!

FriggFRIGG · 21/08/2011 22:52

no the harness never turned up.I know the kobi will go soon,if i had the means to overlap,i wouldnt be bothered, but having no buggy, means its pretty much imposible to leave the house, and its driving me potty!

the issues with other p&t's were various really, the vibe was heavy to push, and tippy, the explorers hood kept popping off,the sports/E3's handle wasnt high enough so i stooped, reclines on the back seat were rubbsih, having to take off the back seat to fold....
