This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

It's way too short for me at 5th 6ins. You can try it but it felt awkward, low and odd to have my hands so low down and cloe together in front of me.

Tiggywunkle · 11/08/2011 15:56

Buy a Noa instead ;) We have just decided to buy a second one so we have one for each child for certain situations or one will slide under a bigger pushchair.

Tiggywunkle · 11/08/2011 15:56

Sorry I meant as back up for DD if she gets tired.

MonkeysPunk · 11/08/2011 16:04

Oh, I had asked about the handle height at pramworld - and that is the answer they gave Confused
I am trying so hard to not look at it - if the handles are too short for me (sounds likely) I'll probably end up kicking the rear axel....I need to stop loooooking at it! Blush.....
I'm not keen on the noa (looks wise) so far....I ought to listen to you though! You are usually right... Wink

Tiggywunkle · 11/08/2011 16:19

The Noa looks nothing until you use it and realise it works,
...it could do with a bigger hood and doesnt parent face, but other than that it's very good. Listen to me...you won't like the Smart - the handles are way to close together and low to be comfy, the fold is very long, the seat looks small with a liner in and you have to remove the verso adaptors to fold. Honestly, I doubt you would regret a Noa.....she says....not knowing you at all ;) They are only £150!!! Get one!! Step away from the Smart...

MonkeysPunk · 11/08/2011 16:37

LOL! Grin I am stepping away from the smart now.....

I need to ebay my BJ summit XC - and then probably the Maclaren XLR.... (probably....why do I have such a hard time letting this one go? We haven't used it more than a handful of times - but in my head I am convinced we will sometime!)... The volo is pretty - but not a great ride - but it's the only buggy I could take on the bus locally I think (esp the free buses to M&S and Tesco) as they have no buggy space at all! So the volo will stay.

I am still LOVING using the Nipper - it totally rocks for trips out via train to start. DS slept over an hour in it yesterday and looked really comfy as it has completely flat layback (I know he doesn't need complete flatness at 3y - but it had plenty of widthways room - though not so much headroom....it worked but possibly won't in a years time..though I'm sure he could sleep in it part-reclined also as he gets longer)
DS loves the Nipper too. I pushed it fully laden with changebag, picnic, shopping etc it wasn't tippy at all - and it was v easy to push - even up steep hills (it was so easy it almost felt "motorised"!!!). The nipper doesn't look all that good - as the straps are cheapo webbing, and the seat does not remove for laundering - nor is there any "finesse" about the fabrics used...but it is strong, and practical - and you can completely forget about it and just get on with your day as it just works so very well! It's one of the best (if not THE best) buggies we've used. I like it even better than the MB Swift!!! It feels even lighter and easier to manouver. I spent a lot of my time pushing it completely one-handed! No more buggy-pushing fatigue!

MonkeysPunk · 11/08/2011 16:40

Obviously the Vista stays too - it's not getting so much use as it's the kids hols -but is pretty essential if I want him parent facing (I do!) for the LONG school runs and the basket is needed for grocery shopping (family of six!) during term times. In the hols - the Nipper is the best all-rounder as facing me is not so essential as DS gets out and interacts with us all more.....

If I could only have ONE buggy at all - it would have to be the nipper though - I could hang bags from the handlebar and would have to do without parent-facing...It might even work on some buses as it can be folded.

Tiggywunkle · 11/08/2011 16:51

Is it really that good?? Lol Better than the Swift? Why? I wish I had bought a single now lol

MonkeysPunk · 11/08/2011 19:10

The nipper is lighter, easier to turn, and wheels spin faster. It's lighter to push. The shape and width of the handlebar of the nipper is better.
I have now figured out how to fit it in the car boot wheels on too!
There is more leg room on the nipper too.

Tiggywunkle · 11/08/2011 20:27

I am surprised there is more leg room...the Double nipper footrest is pretty short really. I need to have another look at a Swiift sometime.
Aswellas I found an offer for the B- Dual plus second seat today...plus 5% code in purple but I can't remember how much you were paying or if you'd ordered?

FriggFRIGG · 11/08/2011 22:14

errrrggghhhh....

anyone else sick to death of writing up ebay listings?
i just cant be arsed, and then there will be all the ridiculous £10 offers

where else can i put the kobi, before i resort to farking ebay?

(oh and if anyone is lurking, feel free to pm me,and offer me tons of money for itGrinit really IS awesome)

Tiggywunkle · 11/08/2011 22:44

Gumtree, preloved? It's not the ads that get me...it's all the faffing after! This week alone I had one buyer who told me after the item had been despatched that he wanted it to go somewhere else. He has since told me there is an issue with the pushchair when it was fine when it left here ..sighs...Another person doesn't want theirs or two weeks coz they are on holiday....never mind the silly bids or those that change their mind....

FriggFRIGG · 11/08/2011 22:46

urrghh, youve made it WORSE now tiggy...i cant bear it....but i want the +One

Tiggywunkle · 11/08/2011 23:33

Me too...but I am not wailing Wink I would reaaallly love my Duet now thank you very much...they are back in stock in stores....I am just sat here really patiently....but happily tonight :o

MonkeysPunk · 12/08/2011 09:15

Mothercare has 15% off a lot of their prams today ... plus I think you might get away with en84 for an additional 10% if you tried too...Bugaboo stuff is excluded as always - but Stokke is in the promotion I think!

MonkeysPunk · 12/08/2011 12:06

Looks like my basket has "remembered" the 15% code from yesterday (I didn't buy in the end but had typed the code), and it's adding it on to the 15% off today - so I "could" get 30% off selected pushchairs...crown blue techno xt looks nice £144....or the BJCM would be £162...but I've had that twice and I don't like the lack of suspension....the techno xt has better suspesion - but is a two handed push....
If I got the techno xt I would sell the XLR....and perhaps also the volo.....if I thought I could get the XT onto the free bus...(that has no buggy space and is generally full of shopping trolleys and shopping...)....and it has nowhere to park a buggy with occupant they HAVE to get out and you HAVE to fold the buggy whatever.... Hmm
Maybe if I could manage the XT on the Bus I could manage the XLR....I wonder how long this promotion will last....?!

MonkeysPunk · 12/08/2011 12:11

BTW, when I list buggies on ebay - I list as BIN only - No offers..(although people always email with offers...). I always tick the box that states "Instant payment by paypal required" (because this way they cannot change their mind - they have to PAY you to end the BIN listing! Then I state that I can only send to the address registered with paypal (In accordance with paypal seller protection rules)...I know this all sounds terribly formal and not very "buyer friendly" but it does get rid of almost ALL your dithering buyers who change their minds or delivery addresses..... You do have to price things right (I list things for 30 days) and be prepared to lower your prices if they don't sell at the initial selling price... You can try it and see! Wink

MonkeysPunk · 12/08/2011 12:14

Hmm, don't think I'll buy anything despite the 30% - I do like the XT - but I prefer the width and seat liner and boot cover included with the XLR and DS is 3 and we'll need to use the buggy for another 2y....might take the XLR out on the train today and see how we go..!

Tiggywunkle · 12/08/2011 15:50

30% off is fab. I tried the ABC in the car today and there was no way it would even get close!! DD is coomplaining about it being blowy on top so I need to fix the hood soon. I have finally had a reply from Phil Green today but he just tells me to watch you tube and Zi haven't seen a hood video on there. So the ABC won't work as a car pushchair and I doubt the +one will fit either. The Powertwin is hopeless too. I know manufacturers build stadium style seating but DD has zero leg room at the front. It's the most uncomfy I have seen her. She's much better at the back but then baby doesn't have much recline although it's better than a lot! But the Powertwin is like a tandem Nipper. Light, manoeuvrable, nippy. The hoods are incredibly low too!! Surprisingly large folded too!

MonkeysPunk · 12/08/2011 15:58

Sorry the abc won't fit. Could you manage with the peach for town and twin nipper off road?
How did you get on with the joovy caboose light?
Any sign of the rumble seat yet?

suzie38 · 12/08/2011 16:01

Tiggy, whar car have you got??? That ABC must be a right beast!!! I'm selling that Mothercare one soon but in those days all pushchairs were pretty small...Maybe it's the advent of people carriers that pushed manufacturers to make huge pushchairs???

aswellasyou · 12/08/2011 18:59

Tiggy, I'm surprised you think the Powertwin's big folded-it seemed practiaclly tiny to me! It's still the only double we've looked at that easily fits in our Mum's boot apart from the Select. I'm a bit concerned about the B Dual not fitting-it'll probably have to go on its side or have the wheels taken off but the mudguards have to stay on so there's no point taking the wheels off really. We've found it for £255. Is the deal you've found cheaper? Fingers crossed!
