Suzie, maybe I need to have encountered issues with toddlers before I can make solutions to them. I can't even begin to think what it could be!

mummyistheword · 18/05/2011 23:12

Am assuming the above qualifies me as buggy addict, feeling strangely settled with the p and t though, most unprecedented. In real life I am average mummy type, actually currently sahm,, however dp and certain friends have come to realise my pram swapping about is not to be commented upon in negative fashion, they even feign real interest occasionally!

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 23:17

Ahhh Yes you'll almost certainly experience the issue this coming winter, unless you have an unusual toddler.

mummyistheword · 18/05/2011 23:22

Hi friggfrigg, just seen your post on other thread about mb choc brown double?! Is it new? You said pre 2010 so was just wondering if some random new ones appeared as wanted one when dd2 was younger but they were hard to find new, ie impossible, I dithered when the mb website recently had the single urban jungle for baraginous 199 English pounds coz of the stripy hood and then they sold out.......should've got one! Worst buggy non purchase if there is such a thing. Night ladies.

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 23:32

Nite nite...Sweet buggy dreams!!!

Guildfordnanny · 19/05/2011 02:12

I thought I was a pramaholic but hmm have only owned 11 pushchairs and the Babyzen hopefully finally arrives tomorrow! But there is plenty of time for more pushchairs ;)

Guildfordnanny · 19/05/2011 02:15

BTW mummyistheword I bought the charcoal pompoms and was really disappointed as it was like something your granny would have knitted with fibres everywhere. It looked really rough and almost itchy. Most odd and yet it looked great in the photos. It went straight back.

MonkeysPunk · 19/05/2011 07:17

Hello, I'm definately a buggy addict too. I can't count how many I've had. Some twice too! Currently I'm stupidly excited waiting for a maclaren xlr from mothercare. Generally I don't like them but this one looks so nice...
My youngest is nearly 3 but not big for age, and really can't manage to walk all of the huge distances we do daily.
Currently I'm selling my bug cam and bug bee on eBay. The cam wasn't durable enough, seat stitching undoing itself and also the basket has a large frayed hole in the side too. I didn't even carry much in it! Bugaboo did send new parts but I've lost confidence using it. I only had it four months!

MonkeysPunk · 19/05/2011 07:22

The bee is lovely BTW but the harness is a pita if Ds has a coat on. It's tight. Bugaboo told me it wasn't designed for toddlers to rear face and to push lower seat fully in and forward face for max harness length. I guess I may aswell sell on if I can no longer. rear face with it. Also it wasn't that easy to fold for the bus. Well the folding part was ok but stowing it in buggy rack was not so fun. Bit expensive for that I thought!

5inthebed · 19/05/2011 09:53

Aswellasyou, you can buy umbrellas for prams already here. They are not that good tbh.

Now, I have the ideal twin pram in my head, a side by side on.

Micralites, crap in the snow. Nipper 360s are fab.

onadietcokebreak · 19/05/2011 10:01

I have product tested a few buggies.....hated the Bee with a passion. Difficult to push in field and felt like my DS too big for it as it leaned to one side. Impossible on beach

Anyway these Vigour3- are they air tyres? I want puncture proof ideally.
Are they any good on the beach? Really want one that is.
Forest tracks

onadietcokebreak · 19/05/2011 10:05

Also is the Bsmart 3 the same as the vigour?? Got friends with the bsmart and it looks bulky!

aswellasyou · 19/05/2011 11:02

I'd be tempted to try the umbrella out but at £27.50 +P&P it's a bit much if it's rubbish.
I wonder just how long the list would be of pushchairs owned by all of you us!

suzie38 · 19/05/2011 11:21

The Vigours don't feel or look as bulky as the B Smart...I had one briefly but my DD hated the seat as it wasn't upright enough plus i took it out of the box and thought b*y h*l this is massive, though think the hood makes it appear big as that is huge...Air Tyres only came on the original Vigours 3 and 4 and people slime them to stop punctures...DH used it in woods yesterday and said it felt about as good as the Donkey did, the day before...No idea about beaches, guess if you pulled it backwards on rear tyres it would be fine as wheels same size as Donkey and that's touted as useable on sand if you pull it backwards.

mumtoaandj · 19/05/2011 11:24

suzie-i have vigours and to make the basket bigger all i ve done is place a tesco reusable bag in the bottom of it-the one with ladybirds on-obviously in open mode.the durable bags that are quite hefty. so all i do is chuck loads of stuff init-its great. i can get loads of shopping in. prior to this i used to tie my shopping bags to the vigour bars near the basket and they fitted ok kind of balancing there. i love my vigour 3+ and 3!

5inthebed · 19/05/2011 11:26

let me try type all the prams I've had. Started my pram obsession in 2003 when DS1 was born.

Ok, so listing as much as much as I can rmember, I'll try keep them in order, and no, not using the same prams again, they are new ones:
Implast (now Babystyle) coach type pram
Graco cheap thing as I couldn't get down the stairs with huge pram
Mothercare stroller (for grandparents house)

Graco Quattro
Bruin stroller (for grandparents)
M&P Pliko
Graco Mosaic
Quinny Zapp
Micralite Fastfold in red
Maclaren Major (still have this)
Silvercross Linear Sleepover, which never made it out of the box
Chicco trio 4 Me
M&P Luna
Big double pram can't remember name of
Quinny Zapp
BJCM in red/black
Mutsy Easyrider
M&P Herbie
P&T E3 side by side
Maclaren Spitfire
Maclaren Techno XT
M&P Ultimo
BJCE
Nipper 360 red

suzie38 · 19/05/2011 13:03

I'll try and do my list later!!!

nicolamumof3 · 19/05/2011 13:16

oooh a new pram thread!

I was one of the 'original members' many moons ago. But think our children started growing out of them so the thread did get a bit lost.

Anyway im Nicola obviously and expecting DC4 in July so i have all the fun to come again!

Traditionally im a maclaren addict, but I have a bee+ for this new one and hoping to get the new superlite carrycot to use on my micralite for new baby but its not released til June/July so cutting it fine..

will now read back Grin

onadietcokebreak · 19/05/2011 13:23

OH is going to kill me...................................................

Just Brought a Herqules Raptor 3 Pram from ebay! I really wanted rear facing 3 wheeler and reckon this will be fab. Whoops!

onadietcokebreak · 19/05/2011 13:24

Hi Nicola.....isnt it exciting when the fun begins again. This is DC2 on way for me.....DP thinks its our last but judging from what I have written above I have a habit of getting my own way!

5inthebed · 19/05/2011 13:30
Guildfordnanny · 19/05/2011 13:50

I got my Babyzen this morning and it's fab :) Its a little bit faffy but it's an awesome fold. I think I need to practice though before trying it in a car park! The light is cool and it's very smart looking!

Guildfordnanny · 19/05/2011 13:56

Oh and FriggFRIGG, I promised you ;) The New Peach Blossom 2011 Just look at that upright back seat!!!!!!!!!!

mummyistheword · 19/05/2011 13:57

Thanks guildfordnanny I will avoid the pom poms! The dogs one has good close ups on the website and looks nicer, will ponder some more! Like the new beach snuggles but not the colours so much, hi nicolamum, like the sound of the micralite carrycot option......used to have a fast fold, would have another, my toro seat was teeny so got rid pronto, my dd2 will be one July 14 th, was so hot this time last yr, or was I just much too pregnant?! Seems much cooler this yr so far, hope you doing ok.

Guildfordnanny · 19/05/2011 13:59

Lol mummyistheword my son was born on exactly the same day last year!!!!!
