That's only another £34.50 for my Contours. I wish it would fit in my Mum's boot now. I really like the fact the babies could see each other in it unlike most others. Or if they fall out they could be turned around and couldn't kick each other.

Guildfordnanny · 20/05/2011 00:09

There have been some Kolcraft Contours brand new on Ebay this last week. I fancied one myself. Someone has just ordered one off Amazon too for an amazingly low price.

icooksocks · 20/05/2011 09:04

Hello all, thought I'd join in. I'm sat in waiting for delivery of my 22nd pram (a mountain buggy urban). I've had to resort to a 3 wheeler as my ds is to heavy for most now (15.4kg at 17 months). I also have a Maxi Cosi Noa (got it too review) which I'm tempted to swap for a Zapp-the handles on the Noa are a little too low for me.

icooksocks · 20/05/2011 09:05

to review, not too review Blush

saoirse86 · 20/05/2011 11:32

Well I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Saoirse and I would love to be a buggy addict but stupid DP stops me. We have a perfectly good garage (that's not used for the cars) and would be perfect for lots of pushchairs lined up like a wonderful pushchair shop.

aswellasyou and frigg I'm about 99.99% sure the pushchair company idea was mine! Shock If only one of us had a proper job and could fund this venture! Wink

I would love one of those Babyzen's, they look gorgeous!

Now, if money was no object and you weren't restricted by space in your boot etc, what would you all have as your one perfect pushchair?

icooksocks · 20/05/2011 11:36

The Recaro babyzen is cack-I've tested it-they might look good but thats as far as it goes.

I don't think I could have one perfect pushchair, I need atleast two to suit different things.

aswellasyou · 20/05/2011 12:07

I like the look of the Noa. On the listing I found, it says it reclines but it doesn't look like it would recline from the picture. If I had a Zapp I'd swap it with you, icook.
Guildford stop winding me up! The more I think about it, the more I want it. That would probably be the perfect double pushchair to me if it wasn't so damn big and heavy. I could get over the weight issue if I thought it would fit in a car boot.
Alright Saoirse. You're a liar. That's all.

aswellasyou · 20/05/2011 12:28

I've just looked up the Conoturs again and found the version I want on Amazon for £158.25 +£26.37 import fees. I'm winding myself up now.

MonkeysPunk · 20/05/2011 12:59

It's a shopping cart - with a baby seat at the front!!! Will Amazon.com ship that to the UK - I find they won't with a lot of their baby stuff...

Honeydragon · 20/05/2011 13:11

It's £265 with free shipping on ebay as well as you.

aswellasyou · 20/05/2011 13:31

He he Monkey. That picture's funny! I don't think I'd use it with just one seat on it! As if they think people would. The basket is humungasaurus though.
Honey, I would be pushing it to spend £180 odd on it so I couldn't pay £265. Especially when i don't need it. I'm a cheapskate you see.

nicolamumof3 · 20/05/2011 14:25

afternoon all, so lovely to see this thread so busy. I feel an imposter tho these days..only two pushchairs to my name. But admittedly ds3 is out of them now and baby not due for another 8w.

suzie38 · 20/05/2011 14:31

Perfect pushchair, well the Donkey is hard to beat, just a shame it doesn't get narrower...I'm thinking of a Graco Fusio...I love my Vigours but they are bulky...I need the option of rear facing as DH is almost totally deaf so once DD starts talking, she's just turned 2, being able to rear face with daddy might be a good idea...The Fusio could replace quite a few of my models...Saw one in Babies r'Us today but forgot to check seat positions and footrest...Mind you a lot cheaper off eBay!!! And i've loved the Graco's i've got/had and everyone who's got a Fusio seems to love them.

icooksocks · 20/05/2011 16:06

aswellasyou-the Noa does recline, it has a zip either side of the seat at the back-so only two positions but adequate enough.
For what I use it for I wouldn't miss the recline if I had a Zapp, just need smething with higher handles.

MB Urban arrived just before lunch-its huge but rather nice. Ds2 still nearly hits the hood with his head, if he grows out of this one I'm stuffed!

aswellasyou · 20/05/2011 18:52

Suzie, you should get this doll's pram for your daughter! I can't believe how expensive they are that £195 is supposed to be cheap.
icook, the handles must be really low on the Noa then. I find the Zapp a bit too low but I quite like high handles even though I'm only 5'5".

Guildfordnanny · 20/05/2011 21:04

I was looking at a Silvercross dolls carriage pram today trying to work put if it was a real pram or a dolls one because wasn't far off the size of the other Silvercross pushchairs on display! Beautiful though!

icooksocks · 20/05/2011 21:05

Oh god, I'd probably hate the Zapp too then. I'm 5ft 8. It doesnt help that my son is pretty heavy and so bows the frame down even more if you get me, it's quite springy you see.

suzie38 · 20/05/2011 21:10

I do plan on getting one of those prams for DD...Only issue is she's tiny, wears 9-12 month clothes at 2 years so by the time she can see over the hood to push it, she'll probably be at senior school!!! Mum found a great second hand one but wasn't in a position to buy it...Yes i saw a picture of Charlotte Church with a pink one, but it looked too small to be a full size one though guessing it was just the angle the picture was taken.

suzie38 · 20/05/2011 21:15

My vintage Mothercare is AWOL...Supposed attempted delivery at 8.19am when DH was home but no card was left...So rang up Parcelforce who are suppose to be chasing it up...Worried the postman tried the wrong 25, as there's another 25 house close by and so many people get the streets mixed up...So goodness knows when i'll get my hands on it, as we're out tomorrow and Monday...Best thing is to collect it on my way home from work on Tuesday but DH say's i can't if i don't have a delivery attempt card rolls eyes

aswellasyou · 20/05/2011 21:33

icook, the Zapp handles are 102cm high and the Noa's are 103.5cm. I don't think you'l get on with it then, although I don't know if the springyness will make much difference.

suzie, they do look high compared to the little girl in the picture actually. Ignore your DH! You can sweet talk them into handing it over I'm sure. Hopefully the neighbours haven't stolen it like I would! Shock

suzie38 · 20/05/2011 21:54

Lady i spoke to on the phone said if took ID i should be ok...i'll keep checking as it's being tracked...We had some terrible neighbors who would have helped themselves as they opened boxes up and removed delivery notes, looking for credit card details, no doubt Shock

suzie38 · 20/05/2011 21:55

Yes they do look high, whereas the proper pram looks tiny compared to the very tall models.

5inthebed · 20/05/2011 21:55

Zapps are very low, luckily I'm 5'5" so not too low for me. DH is nearly a foot taller though so no good for him.

Aswell I used to have a navy pram like that as a child. I loved it.

suzie38 · 20/05/2011 21:58

We had one of those dolls prams but for some reason my dad used it to push me and my sister around...It was always left in the garden so over time it just totally rusted away...What a shame in hindsight.

jocie · 20/05/2011 22:21
