codandchipstwice · 18/05/2011 22:04

My name is codandchipstwice and I've had over 70 prams in the last 5 years. Am trying to stop buying now DS2 walking most places and I've realised I will never find the perfect pram sigh but you live in hope. I've had 4 Micralites, about 7 Mac Technos, 5 quests, 3 Montain Buggies, 4 Phil and Teds - as well as many other one hit wonders. Some you just have a love/hate relationship with - yoyo stash

Now, where's Misdee to put my pitiful collection to shame Grin

libbyssister · 18/05/2011 22:06

I have an iCandy cherry AND a peach blossom at mo... Although we're about to eBay the latter...

Like the sound of the strawberry....

onadietcokebreak · 18/05/2011 22:09

I confest to buggy spotting and overadvising friends on choice of buggies when pregnant- they never listen at first!

5inabed. The only niggle is how the adaptors poke out when it's folded. Plus we may not have boot space for carrycot if we get a zafira.

I'm thinking of a vigour3 secondhand when baby is older what are they like

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:09

Wow 70!!! Better tell that DH in the morning...Mind you i'm half way there Grin

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:10

I love my Vigours, almost on par with Bugaboos.

aswellasyou · 18/05/2011 22:10

Blimey cod!! 70?! I bow down to you and hope to grow up to be just like you.Grin

FriggFRIGG · 18/05/2011 22:11

vigour 3's are FANTASTIC!!! suzie agrees, dont you suzie Wink

OP posts:
suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:11

I've even dreamt imaginary buggies but forget them in the morning as some would have been good for patenting.

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:12

Yes though i do prefer my 4+ but with my 3's air tyres on instead of the harder ones.

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:12

I'm a 4 wheeler at heart, Vigour 3 is the only 3 wheeler i've had.

FriggFRIGG · 18/05/2011 22:13

i have a drawing....the most perfect buggy ever...its got comments scribbled next to it,and diagrams of the moving parts Blush

aswellasyou · 18/05/2011 22:14

Libby, I wish I could afford your Peach Blossom! Baby number 2 (many, many years away when I actually have a job!) will have more pushchairs than all of yours put together.Envy
Hi Frigg!! I'll have to tell Saoirse about this thread. She'll be in bed now because she's a loser.

codandchipstwice · 18/05/2011 22:16

Now - vigour, you've got me thinking - what do you reckon to the 4? And is the seat as big as the urban detour for DS2 (and is it as wide as it looks?)

aswellasyou · 18/05/2011 22:19

I design pushchairs in my head when I'm feeding in bed and she won't GO TO SLEEP! I've designed a really cleverly folding twin side-by-side. I dream of having a pushchair company where you decide whether you want 3 or 4 wheels, double or single (even triple or quadruple), black, chrome or matt metal, the shape of seat, the sort of shape frame, all rear and forward facing, the sort of carrycot, all with a big basket, bar handle or two handles, all with hooks for hanging bags. I'll probably just become a book keeper or something though.

Honeydragon · 18/05/2011 22:20

So how's the microlite on snow and ice? I'm tempted to sell the Vigour and get one for the winter, but I was sooooooo proud of my vigour when it got through 22" of snow Shock

Also I like rf in snow as you don't need the raincover then Smile

aswellasyou · 18/05/2011 22:21

And you won't have to get a mortgage to pay for them!

libbyssister · 18/05/2011 22:21

aswellasyou you know what, my MIL got the Peach Blossom and tho it's been useful, I'm really glad to have gone back to the Cherry now DS2 is walking most places. I have a bad case of Pram Shame.

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:21

Well i love it because i put the air tyres on it...I do like the adjustable footrest on a +, wish Bugaboo had them...But i love the brake like handle for reclining both models the Vigour and Vigour+...You can have the seat at any angle, not the usual 3 or 4...Like the strap you can attach to the bumper bar because i rarely strap DD in, bad mummy i know slap my hand Plus i love the adjustable handle as i like my handles very low and do prefer those that pivot rather than stretch upwards...Only downside is the baskets too low at the back...Another good thing is a secret pocket at the back of the seeat.

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:23

I used to customize my doll buggies when a kid.

FriggFRIGG · 18/05/2011 22:24

aswellasyou, thats MY buggy company you're taking about, ive even got options for fabric inside the hood, with photos/pictures on for baby to look at...< wistful >

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 18/05/2011 22:25

Really libby? I've always thought it looks really good. I was going to play with one the other day in John Lewis but there was a couple who had teeny tiny weeny twins who were actually thinking of buying it. So I left them to it like a good girl.

suzie38 · 18/05/2011 22:25

I'm keeping my Vigour 3 for snow purposes since people have said it's good...Hopefully the Donkey will also work but i'm sure the bus driver won't be so please if he sees the width of the handle...Though there's no way i could use the Donkey on the 2 wheel snow set up...I need something to hang onto, not drag along.
