Would my front door put you off buying my house?!

Just painted it. Colour is not quite what I was going for. I wanted a lighter dusky pink. Ive only done one coat. Do you think it's too much? It's a wooden door so can be re-painted by buyers. I'm putting my house up for sale soon.

I think any wooden door freshly painted in whatever colour is going to be more attractive than something weather worn. In a weird psychological way it also preps potential buyers to think they can repaint it to their preference.

Please dont paint it white OP, leave it pink in preference to white. White is far too stark. You have a period house, classical terrace

So black, dark red, sagey/taupey/beigy

Tbh if I was buying, I’d keep the door as is. Missus appreciates pink too.

There’s a house near me which faces the hill that I go down every day. The front door is bright mango and it gives me joy every time!

I think a nice dark green would suit your house but it's all a matter of taste. It's easy enough to paint a front door so I personally wouldn't be put off but I think some people don't want to do a lot of jobs when they move in so might be put off if they don't like the pink, which is an unusual choice for a door.

Absolutely not, I love the door, I love a house that's different, and that stands out! Makes me think that house is going to be different inside, quirky unique, they've put their own stamp on it. I love art originality, so for sure I'll be clicking on that house to view!!!! Leave the colour 🩷

I think i'm going to keep it as is, but perhaps not have the front photo as the first in the listing, as someone suggested. I feel like i'm betraying myself if I change it, as my heart is truly in the pink. I might post another photo when I have finished painting the sills and got a the flower box looking nice etc.

I don't really think it goes with your brickwork. I think a cream or warmer colour would look better.

It's fine.
No one can predict what any prospective buyer might like.
We shouldn't buy just for cosmetic reasons anyway ( ie. 'I love the wooden front door colour.") because, as others have said, such things (this front door) can be painted.
I hope the sale goes through smoothly.

I would still buy the house yes but I’d paint a dif colour pink

Always go for neutrals when selling. White will be fine. Pink looks like undercoat . I worked in real estate for a while. It's amazing what turns people off, not worth risking it.

It wouldn’t put me off but actually the stone on your house is lovely and the bright door somewhat detracts from the beauty of the stone. So I would repaint it before selling.

It wouldn't put me off as a female but some men might say "eww no! That door will have to go" which as someone else said could be a step too far on the scale of things to do to make the house your own. Personally if you're selling anyway then I would paint it a neutral colour, then I think most people wouldn't give it a second thought.
