Inspired by a recent thread that really made me realise how wildly different house prices are around the country

This is the highest listed one near me. A 5 bed barn conversion with nearly 2.5 acres of land

This popped up on my search too. The more I look at it the more I like it.

However surely Truro is a closer station to st Agnes than Redruth

Four bed terrace on a main road with easy access to the nearest council estate over the back - and a handy bus stop by the front wall for the kids bussing in from across the borough to the very-much-not-outstanding secondary 250 yards away round the corner. Free lighting, too - from the streetlights and ULEZ camera (it only gets vandalised or driven into once a week at the moment) out the front and the back of the house and garden get it from the floodlit sports pitch the school rents out 5 nights and 7 days per week. Handy for the supermarket as well - just follow the lorries as they roll past at 5am.

I have been in a couple (not that development) and they are all much nicer insider and well planned and the tiny gardens are very well designed etc

This is depressing isn't it... those living near London get a shed, while those living I'm the country get a mansion!

There's not much in it. Traffic to Truro is awful, so it's actually quicker to get to Redruth most of the time.

This is within 10 miles of my house but Salcombe is packed in summer so I'd rent it out then.

@ladygindiva fair enough. Redruth is also handy if you're meeting someone because there isn't a ticket barrier and easier to get to the car park.

this is a village location in the ribble valley. Exactly £1mil. It was originally much more and came with a lot of holiday let properties on the same site, as a business.

One is too clinical and the other too oldie worldie. Even if I had millions not sure I'd buy anything that big.

But it's the back end of Wimbledon and the handy for Wandsworth Tooting Earlsfield. You can cover a lot of London from there. Lots of green open spaces around too
