I think everyone has agreed to next Thursday the 30th 🤞 just hoping the solicitors do their part tomorrow and don't put off reading emails for another week.

Nothing to report. No contact from my solicitor at all. Tumble weed…

Crisis averted, just spoke with Currys and pushed back delivery to 31st December but I can bring it forwards when I know the completion date.

Just shows how slow and stupid our house buying system is if TV deliveries out strip it!

I'm really hoping to have some positive news this week. Apparently 2 of the solicitors involved are speaking today on the phone so hopefully that will mean a few more boxes are ticked! Or it could mean more questions are asked... hoping not!

@Crazymadchickenlady same here! Buyer has had the documents ready to be signed for 4 weeks now. I chased my solicitor this morning and there's still no news! Going out of my mind waiting

We were supposed to exchange today but apparently 200 law firms in the UK have been hit by a cyber attack so their systems are locked down. They're now saying we'll aim for Monday. It's an agonising wait! Not posted on here yet but wanted to see if anyone else had heard the same?

Anyone know with regards to the TR1 and Sales Agreement forms. Can these simply be printed, signed (and witnessed) and then scanned then emailed to the solicitor?.

Or do they have to be printed, signed and then posted?

Yeah, they're wet signature requirements, annoyingly.

So, the vendors are viewing 3 bungalows (all vacant possession) and two new builds (ready to move into) today -- keeping my fingers crossed they like one of these and make an offer.
The poor old guy is 87, but we really need some speed to keep things moving.
They've promised to make a quick decision, then expedite all searches and survey -- even asking the solicitor to override issues that may cause delay such as boiler certificates etc. so they are being as proactive as possible god love them.
Wish us all luck ...

We've agreed a date! Planning to exchange on Monday and complete on 11th. Still holding my breath though

We've been waiting so long for the buyer to review the survey and contract now that a friend suggested today we should put the house back on the market and say to the buyers that they can take their time but if we get another buyer who can move more quickly we will go with them. Has anyone ever done this? Can we even do this?

They have had the survey and exchange documents for 4 weeks and say they are reviewing them and we accepted their offer almost 12 weeks ago. They have been silane since last week too. There No chain and we're London Zone 5 so this should have been an easy sale

My solicitor was making everything a nightmare today....I actually wondered if something like this had happened and he didn't want to say. Nothing in news but they do try hard to keep these things quiet.

They may have just been really crap but things I flagged as possible issues in my paperwork, they said "no it's fine"....got to compliance and it wasn't fine.

Haven’t had time to read through but I’ll catch up after work but we have an exchange date of the 8th December 🤞🏻🤞🏻
