Life-sized cardboard cut out of King Charles III.

A conservatory

EverybodyLTB · 08/10/2023 00:59

One of those boiling water taps. I think I might have a genuine phobia of them, if I see on Instagram or something I start getting intrusive thoughts of having my hands scalded and it freaks me out. See also those waste disposal things in sinks. Agghhh

Rain showers are annoying to me, I much prefer water to come from a side angle. Hot tubs are gross. Porches make me feel like I’m trapped. I’m starting to think I’m weird!

Wood burner! Stinky, and a pain in the arse to light. We grew up with a coal fire, no desire to go back thanks.

We viewed a house with a log-fired hot tub a few months ago - surely just a poorly-disguised cauldron…

Drews · 08/10/2023 01:02

En suite. It's like pissing in the corner of your bedroom.

OldLadyChinaCup · 08/10/2023 01:04

I never understand the hatred of ensuites on here but especially on this thread. People always say ‘oh why would I want to sleep 3 feet away from where someone goes to the loo’ Well, firstly, mine is much further away and secondly, the op said unlimited money meaning huge space and convenience and likely someone else to clean it.

Millybob · 08/10/2023 01:05

Pets.
Four-poster bed (especially with pets on it).
Fairy lights.
Too many cushions.

H34th · 08/10/2023 01:05

Fejka (or whatever trendy name people call artificial flowers + plants)

OldLadyChinaCup · 08/10/2023 01:07

It really isn’t. And in fact, in our last house, the bathroom was just as close, if not closer, to where I sleep as I was near the door and bathroom opposite whereas my ensuite was through my dressing area.

One of those showers that sprays water out from six different places on a vertical bar.

Had one in a hotel and it almost tickled me to insanity.

Servants.
I hate the idea of having to live with strangers who know all your secrets.

i might just about manage to get a cleaner and a gardener but hate the idea of having to endlessly manage staff and negotiate what you are eating when, and whether you'll need the car today and having people in and out of rooms fussing and dusting and sorting stuff. I'd run off and live in a little cottage.

Cinema room, whenever I see them on TV shows about fancy houses i just think I bet that never gets used. They always look ugly too. Also no hot tub!!

I would love one of those wooden sauna cabins, and a pool table.

HerbalTeal · 08/10/2023 02:03

Live laugh love (or any) decals.

Epicstorm · 08/10/2023 02:03

I agree with the water taps, they seem pointless given that most people have the patience to wait two minutes for boiling water (and I also worry about them scalding people).

975zyx · 08/10/2023 02:04

The boiling water taps are terrifying imo
