We've just put our house on the market having just finished renovating it. The estate agent advised us to have a company come and take the photos for the brochure which we did and paid for.
I cant shake the feeling that they're just a little underwhelming. The estate agent has suggested we take some more 'lifestyle' photos that they could add to the listing but ive realised I'm no photographer and they just look a little crap!

Do you think it would be worth getting the photographer back or am I overthinking it and the photos are fine?

The humblest of humble brags! Looks lush.

Humble? Must have missed that bit.

This is not just stealth boasting, this is M&S stealth boasting.

The pictures are fine
Your house is fancy
Congratulations

Many of the photos are dreadful, the angles are wrong! I’d get some more done.

Blackoutbeans · 10/07/2023 20:13

First of all, you have a lovely home.

But I have to agree, for a property of that price, I would expect to see better pictures, a bigger selection and more detail.

Thearseyone · 10/07/2023 20:13

😂

Movinghouseatlast · 10/07/2023 20:14

The photographs are great, there is no need to have them done again.

I can’t imagine anyone will be looking and thinking ‘urgh, drab, won’t bother having a look’!

Papernotplastic · 10/07/2023 20:14

Some of the photo angles are a bit odd.

I’d like photos of any garden visitors you’ve had. Nothing says New Forest like a cow in the flowerbed!

LoveBluey · 10/07/2023 20:15

Yeah it's a bit of a dive. Good luck shifting that.

LizzieSiddal · 10/07/2023 20:15

Should add it’s a beautiful house, and the photos very amateur, I know that Estate Agency and they have form for poor photos.

Facefortheradio · 10/07/2023 20:15

I think you just want to show off

Loobydoobies · 10/07/2023 20:15

Maybe missing the point, but why are you paying for photos? Every estate agents where we are includes them in the package...

GiveOverRover · 10/07/2023 20:16

They don't look any more professional than a standard estate agents snaps, I agree, they're a bit awkward.

Appleshapedmum · 10/07/2023 20:16

Dreadful photos - agree that the angles are really odd. Furniture could be moved to make some photos better eg single chair in front of full length window, back of sofas causing a barrier to room.

pristinequeen · 10/07/2023 20:16

Yeah bring the photographer back, looks shit x

ShanghaiDiva · 10/07/2023 20:16

You have a lovely home.
The angles are a little odd on some of the photographs eg the kitchen one. As a purchaser I would prefer to see photographs of all rooms rather than three of the same room. The photograph showing the back of the beige/cream sofa is atrocious.

snowgirl1 · 10/07/2023 20:17

I'm no expert, but I think they look quite good. There are a couple which could be better - photo 19 has a couple of bottles left on the floor and I would expect a professional photographer to have noticed that and moved them; and photo 20 there's stuff on the left-hand sideboard which I think they should have moved before taking the photo. If you're not happy with them, you should ask the photographer to re-take any you're not happy with - but you'd probably need to be specific about what the issue is.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with 'lifestyle' photos - I just want to see the size and layout of rooms, not photos of cups of coffee with the background blurred out.

MrsMoastyToasty · 10/07/2023 20:18

The photographer seems to like radiators.
