We've just put our house on the market having just finished renovating it. The estate agent advised us to have a company come and take the photos for the brochure which we did and paid for.
I cant shake the feeling that they're just a little underwhelming. The estate agent has suggested we take some more 'lifestyle' photos that they could add to the listing but ive realised I'm no photographer and they just look a little crap!

Do you think it would be worth getting the photographer back or am I overthinking it and the photos are fine?
Here's the listing: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/137062946#/?channel=RES_BUY

I think your criticisms are fair OP. I've had similar pain recently with supposed professional photographers who are really nothing of the sort; they basically added nothing other than having a fancy camera that I could have just bought myself with the money I paid them.

I hope you can get some really knock out photos done, OP.

Just one very minor thing but you have two advent calendars on display, which made me wonder initially whether the house has been on the market for several months. The Liberty one also gives the impression of being the view from your bedroom window at first sight, which is a bit disorientating!

@Whenwillglorioussummercome , thats a really good point, I hadn't considered that! We didn't even have a decorated bedroom until about a month ago-I'm just still using the products so didn't occur to me to hide it away. Can't say why my mother in law still has hers out...

Hey OP, take a look at the photos for this other 2.5m property; compare and contrast.

They’re not very good either. EA photos are often not brilliant.

They at least show the grounds properly.

Yes, I was underwhelmed.
