Maybe they had a wedding there and hired them. Hopefully they will be going with them since no mention in the details. You'll have to view to get a good look.

Tabitha005 · 15/05/2023 15:20

I've never seen anything like that before - no idea what they are and they're just massive and completely overshadow the space.

Also, almost half a mil for.... that?! Just incredible.

LizzieSiddal · 15/05/2023 13:58

I dont know but they should have an explanation in the blurb or it will put many people off viewing.

It'll be the kitchen that puts people off!!

ReeseWitherfork · 15/05/2023 15:24

Love the kitchen!

Gingernaut · 15/05/2023 15:27

Relative to the size of the structures, those little wheels are tiny 😮

TheUglyFish · 15/05/2023 15:28

hideous house

AllTheChaos · 15/05/2023 15:30

Oooh, they have the same radio as me! completely misses the point of the thread

Summerbobs · 15/05/2023 15:34

MidgeHardcastle · 15/05/2023 14:10

Op you need to contact the estate agent and ask what it is. For all our sakes.

Yep

belowdecks · 15/05/2023 15:34

I love the kitchen but the awnings are overkill. Ffs 2 bed bungalow for half a million! What the…???

Summerbobs · 15/05/2023 15:36

I’m at work else I would actually ring the agent and find out!

on a side note I absolutely LOVE the kitchen! 🧡🧡🧡

gogogoji · 15/05/2023 15:38

Awnings on wheels. They may not come with the property as they are mobile

ZeroFucksGivenToday · 15/05/2023 15:43

Iris1976 · 15/05/2023 14:11

If you look where I've circled YouCan see the edge of awnings,to shade the whole garden.

Nope. I thought that so zoomed in. The light area is the sun coming through the weird things and hitting the fascia's. It's all
one piece on the bungalow.

Butterflybutterflies · 15/05/2023 15:48

I wonder if they will try to sell them to the new buyers and how much for, they look made to measure so are unlikely to work very well elsewhere.

MandyMotherOfBrian · 15/05/2023 15:49

SarahSmith2023 · 15/05/2023 14:14

🤣🤣in which direction?

im presuming you think it's expensive?
it would be £200+ More than that here.

it's amazing how much the prices vary around the country.

Yes, I just looked at 2 bed bungalows in this area. One - admittedly has a Utility room where this one doesn't, though has a much smaller garden (Sans War of the Worlds Alien Legs) is GBP899.000.00! Another, slightly smaller than this bungalow is GBP595,000.00. It's insane .I do sometimes think that when there's a MN thread where the OP says 'How can we manage better on GBPXXX salary and they get loads of snarky 'oh poor you, how dare you' replies, this might have something to do with it.

Handsnotwands · 15/05/2023 15:49

Quoting myself like a knob but more wheeler than tripod, either way there’s some childhood trauma associations there

Mirabai · 15/05/2023 15:51

It’s definitely not an awning - no conceivable useful shape and the house already seem to have retractable canopy.

Giving me WOTW vibes

Yes, this is exactly was creeps me out about them!

Definite Martian-on-wheels vibes. What happens when it want to go upstairs?

'The Martian'

Aliens have landed in Woking, England.

Not sure but it's already ruined by the plastic "grass".

You have megalophobia. I know someone who does as well and it's quite understandable to me. Some structures really are unnerving.

I've looked at the pictures for several minutes and I still can't figure out what they are. They're bloody enormous for that size garden, whatever they are.

Ooh would this be what I have? I can’t look at things like the Angel of the North or the Kelpies

Mutabiliss · 15/05/2023 15:59

It looks like they are for sun awnings, which suggests the garden and house get unbearably hot. Trees might be a better idea than some weird giant structure though!

I also get creeped out by giant things, I'm not even keen on mountains 😕

larkstar · 15/05/2023 16:00

Interesting! The neck of my body is fairly similar to this - 9m of glass and South facing - I would happily invest in some sun shades like that to a) keep the sun from overheating the host and b) provide a space I can use to surcharge my garden and read, write, work outdoors. I've bookmarked the suppliers and well probably be contacting them.
