Neighbours. They’re not dreadful but they are really really LOUD.

Spectre8 · 11/05/2023 23:57

Make mine detached so I dont have to put up with neighbours noise

purpleme12 · 11/05/2023 23:58

Just the neighbours. Honestly I wish our neighbour problems were as simple as noise like above

Snowontheroof · 12/05/2023 00:08

Reinstate the public transport. There was a 2 hourly bus service through our village when we moved here - it stopped completely at least 10 years ago. We are on a busy A road - 2 miles from any shops/pubs etc. in the nearest town. I'd happily walk occasionally but there are no pavements, it's too dangerous.

DarkDarkNight · 12/05/2023 00:10

I would add a utility room.

Itsanotherhreatday · 12/05/2023 00:13

Skylights - for actual light

DimplesToadfoot · 12/05/2023 00:14

I'd like a wall, a huge wall, maybe the size of The Great Wall of China between my neighbours and I, life would be just perfect.

HP79 · 12/05/2023 00:19

More natural light in the main bedroom. The window is too small for the size of the room. I'd love to turn it into a Juliet balcony with French or sliding doors, but fear it may cost £££.

To all those complaining about their neighbours, I feel your pain. We moved house, at great expensive, to get away from our awful neighbours. Hadn't realised how much they were negatively impacting our mental health until we got away from them. Totally moved out of the area, so no chance of running into them. It's such a shame as we'd fully renovated our previous house and absolutely loved it.

HP79 · 12/05/2023 00:20

*great expense

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 12/05/2023 00:21

Move it to another county.

RoseBucket · 12/05/2023 00:22

Change it for a central London pad.

TheShellBeach · 12/05/2023 00:34

Get a second bedroom so that I could avoid DH's snoring.

PinkCheetah · 12/05/2023 00:42

The garden

Tayegete · 12/05/2023 01:08

Location.

Boltonb · 12/05/2023 01:09

Add a playroom

Shirty48 · 12/05/2023 01:10

Small poor quality kitchen that is falling apart

ChiefPearlClutcher · 12/05/2023 01:19

Replace all the carpets downstairs with amtico or similar

YourSpleenIsDamp · 12/05/2023 01:48

Add a porch - I hate the front door opening straight into the living room. A hallway would be better but not enough room.

TheTempest · 12/05/2023 01:54

New windows and doors, new flooring downstairs and new bathroom and kitchen. Now how do I make this happen?!

Groutyonehereagain · 12/05/2023 01:55

I’d have a bigger living room.

echt · 12/05/2023 04:44

A new roof.

Dontsparethehorses · 12/05/2023 04:48

Cleanliness! I mean clearly that is something I could change but even after last Sunday spending hours deep cleaning less than a week later it needs doing again. Still working on dh to convince him a cleaner would change our lives - his argument is basically he’s used to low standards 😂🙈

Tlolljs · 12/05/2023 05:25

Bathroom. Always cold.

readbooksdrinktea · 12/05/2023 06:01

In a dream world: under-floor heating. In the real world, I'd love to be able to get a new mattress.

cornflakesandtea · 12/05/2023 06:17

The roof! We've had it repaired and it hasn't leaked since but I worry each time it rains!
