It's location. Currently on a busy road in a small town. Would like to move it to a quiet lane further south west.

There's quite a long list actually, but no1 is a loft conversion.
Big hassle and DH doesn't want to do it.

A loft conversion transformed our life tbh. We found a builder who had the skills and vision to raise the ceiling height. Best thing ever

New kitchen, ours is from the 80s and looks it.

Or, if infinite money, I’d like the whole house re-rendered, a new roof to the flat roof extension, a new kitchen with French doors to the garden, a new bathroom, the patio replaced, new flooring throughout, ground source heat pump… lots basically 😅

I'd rotate it 180 degrees.

Same, a bit of sun in the garden would be nice!

Crucible · 12/05/2023 18:30

I need grippier floors throughout and sorting that out is an absolute ball ache. If it could be done in the morning with the click of fingers I'd be chuffed.

tillyandmilly · 12/05/2023 18:33

New kitchen - had ours from early 90’s - falling to bits - base of lower cupboards can’t use as all wood rotted - but can’t afford to replace - ho hum!

BigFloppa · 12/05/2023 18:36

Upstairs bathroom

chosenone · 12/05/2023 18:41

An en suite in the loft bedroom and new velux, re pointing and new front door, re decorate all 3 bedrooms.

dream world, our house with a big garden and drive instead of a little courtyard

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 12/05/2023 18:46

Deer proof fencing and a gate at the front.

a sink in the studio, I had one in the previous house and made keeping it clean much easier.

I’d like a winter garden as in Rousham House , which has a a pool with goldfish in it,,,,but that is really a fantasy.

An extra bathroom so we (a family of 4) don’t have to abide by a morning timetable to all shower.

If I’m dreaming I would have the whole house repainted, some new carpets, replace the family bathroom and redo the patio and bumpy drive. Then If I could just add a few paddocks on the back I would be in heaven.

TheFeistyFeminist · 12/05/2023 18:53

I wish the kitchen was big enough to put a table in. Or honestly just bigger enough that I could get past the dishwasher when it's open, without bashing my shins.

Twattergy · 12/05/2023 19:14

Make it a period house rather than 1950s/w new extension. It's a great house just not much 'feel'.

ShakeYourFeathers · 12/05/2023 19:44

My wardrobe - the actual rail , the daft shelving and the space below

MarnieCres · 12/05/2023 19:46

Absolute fantasy land...but make it self cleaning...😂

DustyMaiden · 12/05/2023 19:56

I’d love a swimming pool.

Spanielsarepainless · 12/05/2023 20:26

Move it three hundred miles north-east.

chezpopbang · 12/05/2023 20:32

Bigger garden, double drive facing my house

Lcb123 · 12/05/2023 20:33

No mortgage!

thirdistheonewiththehairychest · 12/05/2023 20:42

I would double the size of every room.

blueshoes · 12/05/2023 20:48

Replace/refurbish the 1930s crittal windows on the first floor, replace the sky light, give all windows and sky lights a good clean, refresh both bathrooms, give the entire front and back of the house a face lift, tidy and manicure the front garden.

AlyssumandHelianthus · 12/05/2023 21:34

I'd make it detached or add a driveway or garage

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 12/05/2023 21:35

Ohhh I can't pick only one thing.....

Swap our double bed for a superking

New kitchen with appliances

Paint the mouldy bathroom ceiling

Nugg · 12/05/2023 21:36

Kitchen

Londontomadrid · 12/05/2023 21:38

Add a playroom downstairs. Also finally get the extra bedroom and bathroom in the loft space sorted. Also better insulated. And the driveway sorted so it's not on a slope. Just a few things!
