anyone else unable to get on with this 'trend' for hard shiny white/marble (faux marble?) floors?!

The entire colour scheme in that house is not good. So white and grey. I like the outbuilding though!

Such an ugly cold interior in my opinion. Thought the bathroom photo was B&W initially... 😳 Weird fashion to have everything grey. Not homely at all.

It’s not to my taste, but I’m not bothered what other people put in their own house. There are many decor choices I don’t like, and I’m sure loads of people wouldn’t like mine.

I hate the trend for buying Victorian property then stripping all the character out of it.
As for the floors, I wouldn't want them in the cold and damp UK, that whole house just makes me feel cold (apart from the outbuilding), but in a hot country I imagine they'd feel nice.

Fabulous in a hot summer, awful in a cold winter. And really stark looking in that colour, with all that white. I prefer a bit of cosiness.

I don't like kitchen worktops that look like this - so I'm definitely not a fan of this type of flooring.

Not everyone owns loads of books. Some people do all their reading on a kindle or other device. Some people use the library. Others read books then pass them on. Some people (gasp!) don’t read at all.

It has underfloor heating so it's probably quite warm but it is so far from my taste as to be in a different galaxy. I feel like my colour vision has failed. Yes to the helmet on toddler, we moved into a house with hard flooring and had to emergency buy rugs when DS started crawling because he kept bashing his face on the floor.
