St Leonard’s in Sea

CormoranStrike · 01/05/2022 22:31

West Kilbride, a craft town by the sea.

SmiledWtherisingsun · 02/05/2022 08:53

Please let us know when you find it.
Point also for: no Tory voters, great schools & an ethnically diverse population 👍

chosenone · 02/05/2022 08:59

Peak District. Or near by. Bakewell or Buxton?

ThatsGoingToHurt · 02/05/2022 09:01

Tontes? Might be a squeeze for £325k. Lots of independent shops and v bohemian

bjjgirl · 02/05/2022 09:02

Hebden bridge?

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 02/05/2022 09:02

Holmfirth

Iliveinacarboardbox · 02/05/2022 09:06

Liverpool is very creative.

Honkytonk01 · 02/05/2022 09:08

You won’t get a family home for £325k in Holmfirth. Hebden Bridge maybe

Wintersgirl · 02/05/2022 09:15

Depends where in the UK you want to live OP, if it's down south you'll struggle with a budget of £325, especially for a trendy seaside area, can you relocate anywhere?

Chaoslatte · 02/05/2022 09:22

Margate?

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 02/05/2022 09:23

Hebden bridge would be a squeeze for that budget unless you didn’t mind
a) being on a main road
b) being in a bit of it very prone to flooding.

its also annoyingly heaving all weekend every weekend

Iliveinacarboardbox · 02/05/2022 09:28

Oh do you mean hipster rather than creative?

catfunk · 02/05/2022 09:33

Margate
Folkestone
St Leonard's
Outskirts of Frome
Newcastle - Fenham etc.
Worthing

HMSSophia · 02/05/2022 09:33

Tynemouth?

Snoken · 02/05/2022 09:33

Glastonbury. If you like the vibe.

TomRipley · 02/05/2022 09:39

Margate

Wintersgirl · 02/05/2022 09:52

Worthing is where people go to retire and it's not particularly cheap either, especially West Worthing...

Howmuchwood · 02/05/2022 09:58

Cromarty is lovely but nothing for sale at the moment

donquixotedelamancha · 02/05/2022 10:32

That covers a large part of the country. What exactly is creative/arty? Is it a town full of shops selling crystals or a decent cultural scene like a small city?

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 02/05/2022 10:34

Malvern?

Ladyoftheprom · 02/05/2022 10:36

Folkestone

There’s a handful of houses for sale in Holmfirth that meet the OP’s spec on RightMove, I checked before posting. (Local)

@Springtimeshowers if you are interested in Hebden Bridge/Todmorden/anywhere in the Upper Calder Valley, beware of flood zones.

KaraVanPark · 02/05/2022 10:39

Depends on your definition of a safe town. You know crime happens everywhere in every town and can happen to anyone

Springtimeshowers · 02/05/2022 10:54

Thank you for all of your replies, lots to think about. Yes we can relocate anywhere in UK, not a rush and we’re at the beginning stages of thinking about it so open minded.

By arty I mean lots independent shops, nice coffee shops, access to culture (gallery/ cultural festivals etc).

We’ve lived in towns and cites in the north and south, so we’re adaptable.
