Well our house finally went live this afternoon on Rightmove. Massive thank you for all the top tips I found on here and for all the great advice about decluttering and staging. I am very pleased with how it looked in the end and fingers crossed we find a buyer soon.

Your house is beautifully presented. Best of luck selling it quickly to an uncomplicated buyer Smile

Beautiful

JustJam4Tea · 14/03/2022 19:21

Looks fantastic. I’d love to know what the trees in the back yard are?

ReflectiveJournal · 14/03/2022 19:22

Gorgeous OP. Are those cushions Timorous Beasties? They are lovely.

NoLunch · 14/03/2022 19:22

Damn, you have a stunning home! Why on earth are you moving?! If I could get a job up there, I'd buy it off you. Good luck! I'm sure it'll move fast!

peckpeckpeck · 14/03/2022 19:22

Beautifully presented as PP said - best of luck OP!

DistaffSide · 14/03/2022 19:22

Stunning. I've saved it for inspiration for my place. Good luck with it all.

beenaroundtheblox · 14/03/2022 19:23

Looks lovely. Perfect holiday home if only I had that kind of money spare.

GreenLunchBox · 14/03/2022 19:23

It looks great! Could you please link to your previous thread?

Pastnowfuture · 14/03/2022 19:24

Stunning. Good luck.

Howmanysleepsnow · 14/03/2022 19:26

It’s stunning! Can I ask, did it look much different before you prepped it for sale?

stuntbubbles · 14/03/2022 19:26

Gorgeous! I want to see the previous thread with the advice too

bigbeautifulmonster · 14/03/2022 19:29

Yes I'd be really curious to see before/after photos too , or a link to previous thread.

DramaAlpaca · 14/03/2022 19:30

Gorgeous house! Best of luck to you.

FeltCarrot · 14/03/2022 19:30

What a stunning house, and next door to a cake shop too!

FitAt50 · 14/03/2022 19:41

Thank you for the lovely comments. I used this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/property/4321903-Staging-house-for-estate-agent-photos and some others as guide. Also a thread about what to do with empty fireplaces for tips on clutter.

Trees in back garden are bay trees. Cushions are from M&S and amazing value at just £15 - the real ones are £100+

I just gutted every nicnack, family picture, cats basket, bins etc. Stripped all the kitchen counters, filled the wine rack etc. The top tip was to make the place look like a premium Airbnb so that people can imagine living there.

Thanks again for being so lovely - we are moving to Glasgow and very much hoping for a quick sale.

Wow! Stunning. Love the fireplaces. Good luck with it!

Aquamarine1029 · 14/03/2022 19:47

It looks absolutely gorgeous, op. I don't know if I could leave if I were you!

whoruntheworldgirls · 14/03/2022 19:47

Beautiful house OP

ukborn · 14/03/2022 19:48

Looks lovely and very well presented. My only criticism is the flow of the photos - rooms downstairs, then a view of the bedroom, then another bedroom, then back to a different view of the first bedroom then back downstairs...
But fingers crossed for a quick sake!

TheYearOfSmallThings · 14/03/2022 19:48

Oh that is lovely - it would suit me down to the ground! Although the commute to London would be a killer.

Chosenonesneakymincepie · 14/03/2022 19:49

Gorgeous. Good luck.

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 14/03/2022 19:50

It’s lovely! Which paint have you used in the dining room? Does it run throughout the house?

TheFabulousSamathaJones · 14/03/2022 19:51

I thought those cushions looked like Timorous Beasties or House of Hackey, wow at M&S

Beautifully presented house!

Honeyroar · 14/03/2022 19:52

It looks absolutely lovely.
