Theres no way I'd pay £3m for a house so close to a major road plus it look ridiculous next to the neighbours houses. As for the red everywhere 😱

I think the video was a case of let's dash I , zip about about a bit , zoom in and out a few times and scarper before anyone realises how bland everything is.

So much money out there being spent on these willy-waving projects.

And just in case this is the home of a serial killer, I'd avoid wearing grey and red in the Solihull area to be on the safe side.

Definitely not the poshest or most expensive road in the locality. Ceiling price so far on Lady Byron has been around 1.5 million, whereas others not far away (imo in quieter, more appealing roads) properties regularly make between 2.5 to 5 million.

Rail and road links nearby have increased popularity with commuters, which is why, having grown up, here dh and I have been priced out of the area.

It’s brought money into the area, but at the same time, I feel has lost the sense of community it used to have. Not helped by the fact it’s been growing rapidly in size, with overpriced new-builds - and there a lot more to come under the local plan.

Still a nice place to live, but not for the same reasons as when I was growing up. We are lucky to still be here, given the increase in property prices. There’s absolutely no way we could ever afford to move up the next step of the ladder without moving out of the area.

Ah, ok, thanks dizzy. It was the regular joke for my parents and friends. I fucked right off out of there at 18 and barely been back since!

@pommedeterre, my dsis was the same, couldn’t get away fast enough and would never move back. I moved away for just over a decade, then came back when I had my dc, as I wanted to be near my parents. We’ve been back 18 years and it’s unrecognisable even just in that timeframe.

I do remember as a child that Lady Byron was the posh/aspirational road (that and Lovelace Avenue) but it was a quiet road with period properties back then, it’s a very different place now.

The EA has a new camera, with mine I can do BW photos picking out one colour and it picks that colour out in everything. I think this is what has been used.
