OK so one of these is my house and the other two are my local competition. Tell me which listing you like best and why please!

House B - www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-65804973.html

I can’t decide between a or b. Both have character and are quite cute but very small kitchens.

BlessYourCottonSocks · 09/07/2020 16:13

A: Nice outside (character). Inside too modern, no storage, no garden?
B: More character, more cottagey, more garden. I just prefer it.
C: Mix and match. Nice character in parts - too glitzy and modern in others, just a yard.

I literally had a 2 minute whip through them all and would probably go have a look at B and not the others. I do realise that I'm basically looking at other people's decor though, rather than anything else.

FizzyPink · 09/07/2020 16:14

B would be my choice. C is way too cluttered and looks very small due to how much stuff is in the rooms. Also I wouldn’t buy A due to the barely there garden but not much you can do about that and C’s garden isn’t great looking either.

B looks fairly modern whereas A looks very dated. However, if B is yours I’d get rid of the clutter on top of the drawers in bedrooms, those teddies look very messy.

Also am I missing something or do none of them have a bathroom on the floor plan?

Nanasueathome · 09/07/2020 16:15

I like B

SweatyAndyFromWoking · 09/07/2020 16:15

B as it has the better garden and I could potentially park outside the house, however, I know nothing about the area so the 'better' Street could be a deciding factor for me irl

YabbaDabbaHooooo · 09/07/2020 16:17

B

CuppaZa · 09/07/2020 16:19

I like a and b. The only thing that puts me off a is that it looks like you can’t park near by?
Not keen on c at all.

Spied · 09/07/2020 16:20

I prefer A. Just seems more airy. Like the bathroom. Kitchen doesn't look as narrow.
Prefer B or C for outside space though.

BoxAndKnife · 09/07/2020 16:21

I think B although I'm not keen on houses where you come straight into the sitting room.

But the garden is much the best out of the three and I like that the bathroom doesn't open straight into the kitchen - always a bonus if you have to have a downstairs bathroom!

Zisforstripyoss · 09/07/2020 16:21

B for me too, for all the above reasons.

A's decor is bland and boring and depressing, I wouldn't want the serious lack of garden. B's decor fits the house and it looks tidy and welcoming. C's doesn't fit the house, it's too much and makes the rooms look claustrophobic and the kitchen look really narrow.

MashedPotatoBrainz · 09/07/2020 16:21

I like C best as it looks prettier from the front and rooms feel homelier (is that even a word?).

I don't like A because there doesn't appear to be any useable outside space other than the front yard. Which is weird as I have a massive garden but never go out in it anyway.

I like the B garden best but the way the furniture is place in the living room puts me off. Makes it feel a bit like a corridor. The photo from the front of the house is really unappealing and has too much car in it.

MartinJD1976 · 09/07/2020 16:21

Not an awful lot in it between the three TBH - although I would say C's pictures are terrible, one of them isn't even straight.

WhenWillTheRenovationsEnd · 09/07/2020 16:22

B

WorryWartOne · 09/07/2020 16:23

Being next to woodland, A seems to have the best location by miles if you have children or a dog, or just like being near nature in a quieter area. Garden is off-putting though, and stairs in the living room.

C feels cramped and has less kerb appeal.

B is probably the best all-rounder, good garden, looks a touch bigger, best price for what you’re getting.

I don’t know the areas at all though, B could be next to a rocket launcher test centre for all I know!

Which is yours??

feelingfragile · 09/07/2020 16:23

House A definitely, I'm not sure how to describe it but it just looks like the decor is cleaner and better quality. I like the setting more than being directly on the side of the road.

The only thing I'm not keen on is it looks like fake grass. Given the type of house I wouldn't look at it for a family so the lack of garden wouldn't bother me.

I've only looked at the pictures though so if there are issues with parking that the other ones don't have that would make me rethink.

I'd probably view them all though to get a better idea.

BoxAndKnife · 09/07/2020 16:23

Sorry just noticed you come straight into the front room on all of them! So, definitely B!

bravotango · 09/07/2020 16:23

I like B.

I think I slightly prefer the style of A but I think it's overpriced given the outside space. C has a toilet upstairs so I would go and look at that - not keen on a downstairs bathroom (but maybe that's just the norm in this area, in which case fine). I'd probably look at them all because I find it really hard to visualise from pics! But overall...B.

CrystalMaisie · 09/07/2020 16:24

Whichever one has the easiest parking.

Thecazelets · 09/07/2020 16:24

B

A has no garden and a very odd step arrangement down to the yard. B seems the lightest and brightest.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 09/07/2020 16:25

I prefer B overall, garden and parking seem better.

B and C both have rather a lot of clutter!

Dinosauraddict · 09/07/2020 16:26

I don't know the area at all, but I would choose A hands down - far more of a traditional cottage feel.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 09/07/2020 16:26

B is the best all round imo .

Magissa · 09/07/2020 16:26

I like B, A and last C.

The decor in B makes it look clean and fresh . Photographs are angled well and show the house off well.
A is nice but doesn't look as well presented as B.
Maybe the first photo on C is too close but it makes the front of the house look a quite small so that would put me off immediately.

Hope yours is B!Smile

pallisers · 09/07/2020 16:28

I like B because it is staged better (although I would have taken a lot more stuff out even in this one before taking photos).

Does C have an upstairs lav? If so, that would probably swing it for me. Would prefer not to have to go downstairs during the night. You can change decor.

missyB1 · 09/07/2020 16:28

Yeah B for me, the garden swung it.
