Today we have the 9th viewing of our house. Been on the market since Feb, and it just feels relentless now and I’m struggling to stay positive.

We had one offer which we accepted, but then they pulled out as they realised they actually couldn’t afford it.

I just feel like we will never sell. Every week making the house pristine, letting strangers look around and judge your house for them to give really positive feedback and then radio silence.

I guess this thread is just a bit of a moan really. Any positive stories welcome :)

@Notmulan that’s great news! Yes our chain completed, 4 months from offer to completion which was amazing given the chain length. Love our new home and it was all worth it. Have you found somewhere, will you make the stamp duty deadline?

@fluffysugden oh fantastic! That is amazing. No we’ve not found anything yet, but it’s only been a week. They don’t let you look at properties in this area until you’re sold and not much has come on.. but I’m hoping it will soon

Took us a year to sell our last place (8 years ago). Ended up with two buyers in a bidding war and got asking price.

Agree that the property market is likely to be very busy over the next few months...

Hang in there: 2 months during lockdown is nothing Flowers

@LittleOverwhelmed I WAS almost a zombie by the end of it. Anyone who follows the thread and wants to know how many viewings before they sell ...67!! :) Changing agents and more of a sellers market definitely helped

@Notmulan sorry not been on here for ages!! So glad you have sold and really hope it completes smoothly!

We are still loving the new house, a few weeks and the first phase of the renovation will properly begin which is exciting.

Also very happy to read @fluffysugden managed to complete. This thread is a great example of how we do all get there in the end, even when it feels hopeless and neverending Grin
