Right, any thoughts (apart from brexit uncertainty) as to why no one wants to buy this house?

We had a buyer back in March but that fell through and since then we've lowered the price by over 10k, had a few viewings in May when it went back on the market but nothing since Sad

It's a two bed end terrace with great transport links and two private parking spaces, loads of loft space and double glazing. It's smallish, but cosy and pleasant and an ideal first buy for a young couple (that's why we bought it five years ago). Lovely neighbours and a peaceful cul de sac location. Really positive feedback from the viewings we've had, but no new offers so far. It's priced well for the area.

Any glaring issues (fixable Ines! I.e. The kitchen is small but not a lot we can do about that Grin)?

Honest thoughts appreciated...

Oh thought that would work - obviously not!

Bluntness100 · 01/07/2017 15:43

I'll have a shot

Ops link worked fine for me?

misty252 · 01/07/2017 15:45

The link works. Looks lovely to me. Sorry - not constructive I know!
We've been trying to sell ours since beginning of year and it's just a weird market at the moment I think.

I'm hoping it's just the market and not some horrendous oversight on our part. No weird pet smells or dodgy photos in the hall or anything! Grin

The tiled floor in the lounge.

Saw an episode of Phil Spencer Slags Off Your House and cold hard tiles in a living area are a big no no.

And the garden needs brightening up.

KnitFastDieWarm · 01/07/2017 15:47

I hate the floor and have meant to change it since we moved in! However we've had a few viewers who mentioned it as a plus point. Would a large rug be a good compromise?

I actually love the tiles in the lounge. I think they look so clean!! (Unlike my manly carpet😳)

KnitFastDieWarm · 01/07/2017 15:48

Any ideas for garden brightening that are easy enough for total non-gardeners?

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 01/07/2017 15:48

Manly?? Ffs...manky!!!

KnitFastDieWarm · 01/07/2017 15:49

The floor is great if you have a) toddlers (we do) or b) dogs, maybe we need to appeal to the muddy dog owning homebuyer demographic Grin

Looks lovely but in 'that' part of town, it would put me off

KnitFastDieWarm · 01/07/2017 15:49

Haha manly carpet! Wink

Not keen on tiles in living room. Would feel cold and not cosy. There seems to be a lot of clutter on child's window sill, and quite a bit of furniture in there. The first picture doesn't really do much justice, I would get a picture done when it's a perfect blue sky outside and not of just the sign out the front. Bathroom has a bit of clutter. Living room looks nice although as above not keen on the tiles. Sorry if iv offended!!

Bluntness100 · 01/07/2017 15:50

Its lovely, I think if I was being picky, the front bushes looks a little overgrown, and I'd paint the front door, it looks pink?

I'd also put a rug in the living room and soften it a bit.

Maybe put a little table out the back. Those two deck chairs are kind of strange like that, and the plants lined up blocking the back patio are kind of strangely placed, I'd move them to the sides.

It's all terribly minor though, I'd say it was just timing, but I would prob paint the front door.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 01/07/2017 15:50

Lol😂😂 I think maybe some flowers up the fence - I'm no gardener but I think a dash of colour would make it perfect!!

Emily7708 · 01/07/2017 15:51

It's the price. It basically stayed the same price from 2007 until 2014 when you bought it, so why would you think the value has gone up by nearly £50k in three years?

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 01/07/2017 15:51

Yes, a beautiful and plush rug would look gorgeous in the lounge!

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 01/07/2017 15:52

Yes. Get a manly massive rug.

PlymouthMaid1 · 01/07/2017 15:52

The tiled floor would-be a love or loathe reaction. I would hate it because of coldness, breakages and dogs find tiles hard to walk on sometimes, skidding about.

Gizlotsmum · 01/07/2017 15:52

I dining space? That would put me off. Even a dining table in a corner would be a start.
