Anyone nervous for primary school admission results?

State primary admission results are.out this week. We have to wait for a letter, how retro, as we did a paper application for a deferred Reception start (DD is 5 in July, some minor additional needs). Really really hope we get a place at the friendly local school a 5 minute walk away! Anyone else waiting and want to chew their nails with me?

I’m pretty much sure my daughter won’t get any of her top 4. This part of London expects 200+ applications for the schools in my area. The schools
Are so oversubscribed you need to live within 100 metres...

Wouldn’t be the end of the world but she would be in the minority and I wanted her to be with a more diverse setting..!

I’ve even been moved to look through my junk folder. Nothing from schools but on the bright side, there are a lot of young women hoping to meet me.

Lambeth is up and we got first choice (faith school) - accepted already!

We got our first choice... not happy as it had a bad Ofsted last month after previously being rated outstanding. I was hoping to get 2nd or 3rd choice. Will go on CI lists and keep waiting I guess.

I logged on to eadmissions and it told me we have our first choice. I accepted the place immediately and about 3mins later the email appeared. (I’m NE London)

So relieved - 1st choice with her sister. Only 1 pick up & drop off will make an amazing difference to my life as a f-t working single parent.

Offer received - we got our second choice, which we are happy with as first choice was a long shot (very oversubscribed). Now I can think about something else! 😃
