Sorry you're having family hassles Dilly, hope things get sorted out soon.

babyb, Isabelle / Isabella is one of our top names too! If we choose Isabelle it will be shortened to Issy but we wld shorten Isabella to Bella. Also like Felicity although wld not use it for a DD as one of my best friends is a Felicity (Fliss). Our other top names ATM are Ellie (Eleanor), Alice and Lucy.

Saartjie re increased boob size, my DH loves them too but they've been so sore and swollen that he hasn't been allowed anywhere near them! Poor DH .

RooBear · 14/06/2010 19:27

we haven't actually bought anything yet kfw! just been lucky, its a lot of white at the moment though so if anyone knows where I can get colourful neutral clothes let me know! love all the names, was thinking on felicity, can't have a isabella as there's one in the family already, think we are set on eleanor grace for a girl and kieron william for a boy.

Hevster · 14/06/2010 21:08

we are down to Isabella, Jessica, Lucy and Poppy but how we actually make a decision I have no idea!
BabyB Felicity is nice and it's a little bit more unusual, girls clothes are great when you get to age 2+ specially if you can pick up mini Boden on ebay!

Saartjie · 15/06/2010 08:16

RooBear our due dates are so close together, excellent. My 'flutters' are certainly getting more intense. She seems to like football as every time I sit down for a match (which is every night now) she goes crazy. I love it!

KFW I know exactly how you feel about your sister. I am the only one from my family living in the UK so I only get to see my brother and my parents 3 times a year. Now that I am moving even further away I will probably only see them once a year which is by far the downside of relocating

I have not bought one single thing for the baby. I wanted to wait until after the 20 week scan in any event as I wanted to know if I should buy blue or pink but now that the scan has been and gone I still have not bought anything. I think some retail thearapy might be on the cards once pay day is here.

Woke up today feeling like I am filled with gas (sorry TMI). Not sure why but I feel like a ballon today .

Saartjie · 15/06/2010 08:17

Oh and I forgot, babybunting I love the name Isabella so that gets my vote for sure.

DillyDora · 15/06/2010 09:10

Roo Eleanor Grace is lovely! I would have tried to have Grace if I'd been having a girl.

Really like Felicity and Isabelle/bella too...

Saartje I have those days! Most uncomfy!

babybunting2010 · 15/06/2010 09:36

Morning all,

I love coming on this site now! It's like my morning (Afternoon and lunch time treat) now to log on and say hey!

Am loving the fact that my name keeps coming up as a fave! Hevster and Jacks, as a Lucy myself I am pleased to see it's up there as a favourite!

Glad you all like Felicity and Isabelle, think we are leaning towards Isabella/Isabelle but... do you think it's too much with the surname Bunting or is is quite cute?

Saartjie- I hear you with the gas! (Not literally!)

Can I ask you all a personal question.... Did anyone have a light pick discharge when in early weeks. My SIL who became pg at the same time as me in January but lost it at 4w+5 is currently 10+3 and is over with my PIL in Crete for a holiday is panicking as she is having a light pink discharge, have told her it's probably fine and not to worry unless it's painful. But am really worried that something is wrong! Any reassurance would be great!

KFW · 15/06/2010 10:58

morning girlies!

babyb so sorry to hear about what your SIL is going through. It's so stressful isn't it.

As I think you know, I had 3MC before this PG. I honestly don't think that you can tell what is happening with anything. I have had different symptoms with each of my 4 PGs and who knows why this one appears to be working. What I would say about it is that with this one I had significant bleeding (not even pink discharge - major clots and lots of scary blood) at about 8 weeks, and it seems to be fine now . There wasn't even any evidence of the bleeding on a scan the following morning. Conversely, with my 3rd MC I had no bleeding at all, had a scan at 10 weeks because I was just nervous and it was a complete shock to discover it had died 3 days before. I understand that the most important thing is not to have any cramps accompanying the bleeding, so I think that your advice is right. I know from personal experience that it is pointless telling her not to worry, but she should try and chill, soak up some sun and get herself to an EPAU as soon as she gets back for peace of mind. Seeing it on a scan is the only thing that will reassure her properly.

Lots of good vibes to her.

KFW · 15/06/2010 11:02

By the way, I weighed myself this morning. I was about 51-52Kg at the beginning of the PG. I am now 57Kg!!!!!!!! That is a further 10% of my body weight already.

So Saartjie, you may be full of gas, but I am clearly full of fat - because I know that she doesnt weigh that much! I am hoping that a lot of the weight is boobs. I have gone up from a B to a D cup but I am pretty sure that's not 5 Kgs worth!...

Jacksmybaby · 15/06/2010 11:40

Crikey KFW you must be v slim normally!! I weighed about 62kgs b4 pg, now about 65 I think (modest weight gain due to months of N&V - it has to have some advantages ).

BB I had some clear discharge streaked with a bit of blood (so I guess pink overall) at around that stage in this pg. Last yr I had a mc at around 5/6 wks which was cramps with bright red bleeding getting progressively heavier. Hopefully your SIL has nothing to worry about.

Saartjie · 15/06/2010 12:26

KFW and Jacks that is nothing. I was 57kg before pg and I am now 67kg. I am not sure where it has gone really the only thing that seems to have expanded is the bump and my boobs. I have raised my weight gain with MW and GP but they say it is normal so that's fine with me. My weight gain seems to have slowed down quite a bit though as I have only put on 2 kgs in the past month.

So I am both fat and gassy, very attractive

RooBear · 15/06/2010 13:03

where are you based saartjie?I have no idea how much I weigh, been the same for ten years! (before pg obviously!)

Saartjie · 15/06/2010 13:12

RooBear I live in Essex, Chelmsford area.

Just had some great news. My bosses called me into their office. Must say I went in on shaky legs. Apparently they feel sorry for me that I have such a commute every day in my condition (their words not mine) that they have decided that I can work from home until I leave for good. I am over the moon. It will help me so much. I am just very surprised but not complaining at all

DillyDora · 15/06/2010 13:18

Wow! Top stuff Saartje! But your bosses need to maybe get into the 21st century 'in your condition'! Dude, it's not an illness! (Unless you are ill? Are you? Sorry if you are...)But lovely lovely to wfh, splendid stuff.

I weighed myself at 20 weeks on hols and had only put on 1.5kg which I thought didn't seem like much but the sonographer said not to worry - may have been like that because I lost weight early on so I'm just making up for it?

RooBear · 15/06/2010 13:28

thats great! not near me then (North Yorks!)

JazzieJeff · 15/06/2010 13:53

Saartjie; Soooo jealous! I'd love to work from home (not sure what I'd do exactly; I'm in aviation engineering...) sod their old fashioned attitude! Looks like it's done you some favours.
Dilly; So sorry to hear you're having problems with your DSS. That must be so difficult to bear. But children will be children; you wait until small is here, he won't be able to get enough of you!
I've put on 7kg (ish) so far, which is also about 10% of my original bodyweight which is a tad scary, but I'm trying to get down to the gym three times a week for an hour's cardio in a vain attempt to make my fat wobble its way into beautiful, toned thighs... I can hope, can't I?!

DillyDora · 15/06/2010 13:57

Jazzie thanks it's their ma who is the problem really, not them, they're only kids for heaven's sake....poor b*ggers. And if you wanted to wfh you could build an aeroplane in yr garden shed...of course!! V impressed with all the cardio, I did my pg aerobics dvd today...ooooh sooo hard! but my legs and bum are all mushy and it can't be allowed to go on.

JazzieJeff · 15/06/2010 14:11

Dilly; Really don't envy your situation. I can't believe how calm you sound about it all! What's the mother's problem? Your DSS won't be able to help themselves over a new baby brother, I guarantee it! He'll be sure to melt their little hearts. I guess maybe you should feel sorry for this lady; it's only her who's going to look foolish a few years down the line when her DS's are able to make their own decisions. I haven't found any pg classes down here (I reside in deepest, darkest Cornwall, aarrr..) so I've just been cracking on at my work's gym on my own. I htink one lady on here mentioned candle-lit pregnancy yoga?! My goodness, I am soooo of her.

Hevster · 15/06/2010 14:29

You're all very brave getting on the scales, I am too frightened that if I have put on loads then I will starve myself and if I have not put on much I will be on the doughnuts. I managed a hefty 4 1/2 stone last time and don't want a repeat performance (ate a lot of doughnuts last time)
saartjie great news that you can work from home, wfh is saving me a fortune in diesel as I no longer have to do my 40 mile round trip to Bath also (being a sport obsessive) means I get the world cup, wimbledon and the summer cricket series!

Saartjie · 15/06/2010 14:39

Exercise has not really been on the cards for me. I was never good at it before pg so def not any better now . I feel fine so I am not too worried about the weight gain anymore. It is what it is and as long as the baby seems happy and MW is happy then I am happy.

Yes really chuffed about WFH, it's a blessing really. Looking forward to lots of world cup and wimbledon and summer cricket for sure as well as rugby. Yes, like you Hevster I am a sport fanatic. It will also save me a lot of money as the travel is so expensive.

JazzieJeff wow so you are in aviation engineering, that sounds so interesting. Do you enjoy it?

KFW · 15/06/2010 15:05

saartjie - loving the working from home! ENJOY! there is no way my firm would ever do that. in fact, earlier, my boss mentioned a trial which starts at the beginning of october and said "you'll still be able to run with that" so much for winding down!

jazzie that was me with the candlelit pg yoga. i dont want to make you but it's ace! however, it is basically just breathing and will do nothing to burn of the burgers, pies and chocolate i've been eating. i am sure your gym sessions are far more useful. like saartjie, i cant be bothered Now, hevster you've got me thinking about doughnuts...

JazzieJeff · 15/06/2010 16:44

I want a custard doughnut. Right now. Preferably a Sainsbury's one.
Saartjie; It's a different job! I quite enjoy it actually, there's something different on every day so that keeps things fresh. I'm part of the armed forces, so it's a bit of a different job for a Mummy!
KFW; I want some of that yoga action, it sounds so relaxing and I am mega jealous Screw burning off calories, I want to be treated like a sacred vessel, dammit!

Jacksmybaby · 15/06/2010 17:36

BTW, KFW the "crikey" in my last post was not as in "crikey you've put on loads of weight you fat chubber" but "crikey 51kgs you must be naturally lovely and slim" - just re-read and realised it could have been misinterpreted!

babybunting2010 · 15/06/2010 17:36

Gosh you have all been busy ladies this afternoon! Have a "look at this page" for classes and courses and things, might be something there.

I haven't done anything despite the fact that their is a Yoga class on Tuesday nights but I am too scared to go! I know I am a bit of a geek!

I too haven't dared to get on the scales but don't think I have ever been as low as some of you guys!

KFW · 15/06/2010 17:40

ha! jacks dont worry. i am far more thick skinned than that and didn't even notice. everyone on here seems nice and my default position would definitely be to assume niceness!
