so excited for you J&BM!! are you drinking the raspberry tea? soon you'll have to change your name to J&bumps-real-name's mummy!....

i have to go and meet my big sis for some shopping and tea so will check in later....

dramaqueen72 · 24/09/2005 16:05

rom -thought of you, my favourite pg magazine -junior pregnancy and baby- has an article in it this month about 'when morning sickness doesnt stop', I dont know how good it is yet as havent even had a moment to sit down with it since buying it this morning, but usually the aritlces are fabulous in there. it might have your miracle you were after! take care

yingers74 · 24/09/2005 21:24

dramaqueen - would also be interested in hearing what the article says. I doubt there is a miracle though as the medical world still has no real idea why it happens. I strongly believe that if men carried babies, there would be a solution by now!

Frizbe · 24/09/2005 21:29

Hi all hope your all well n trying to enjoy your weekends.....
J&BM, just going from experience last time, lots of shifting pains during the last week, down below! apparently in the hours before we start experiencing pains us pregnant ladies have a change in pallor (this is according to some people I know anyway!) so keep an eye on your complexion!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 24/09/2005 21:43

i can see me still sitting here moaning at 10 days over like munz has predicted!!!

Roll on getting this baby out...... either that or ill be lying to the mw on wednesday and asking for a planned induction!!!

Frizbe · 24/09/2005 22:04

Bet you have a bubba by monday at the latest!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 25/09/2005 08:16

munz · 25/09/2005 09:39

no in time all back safe and sound.

Cadmum · 25/09/2005 13:20

Goodmorning all...

I can feel the baby move!! Never felt it this early before but I thought I felt something on Friday evening and now I know I did because it happens fairly regularly.

Hope you are all well.

Thankfully the head cold seems to have left our home so we are all full of energy again.

DH is home on Thursday evening and I have another scan and appt with the consultant on Friday am at 8:15 (what a yucky time!!)

Frizbe · 25/09/2005 19:12

Yeah, things are looking up Cadmum, here's to a very good week for you!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 25/09/2005 19:18

this baby is still refusing to budge!!!

dramaqueen72 · 25/09/2005 22:46

woohoo, how lovely cadmum,. a major reassurance for you there! I quite like really early appointments I have to say....its the late morning ones, or god forbid after noon ones that kill me......I cant settle beforehand and get very restless!!! hope yours goes well.
J&BM -there will be no rushing them will there? it wont be long, hang in there!!

need some input please ladies. sorry if this is abit long.......as you might remember, had just one 'soft marker' /red flag rasied at our 20wk scan, everything else looked fine and perfect. were told not to worry as this particular soft marker (a type of cyst in the brain area, but not the actual brain) nearly always -9.9999 times out of 10- shows up for no reason and just clears up by itself, hence our scan at end of oct to double check.
however of course tho I know its a very very tiny risk, its still a small black cloud right at the back of my mind iykwim. we are going to the big baby show in london just before this next scan, and a 4D scan company is doing face pictures (like a taster of the full scans) for a cheap price. knowing how much I have always wanted this done, and this is our last baby, dh has booked one for us the day we are there. he did say tho hes abit worried, supposing something IS wrong still with the baby and it shows up at this scan?
of course now hes said that I'm all worried. part of me desperately wants to stop thinking such melodramatic things, but the other........
is it foolish to have this scan guys?

Cadmum · 25/09/2005 23:13

Oh DQ... I really wish I knew how to advise you. I would be worried silly about the same thing. (Who am I trying to fool? I am worried about that everytime I get a scan.) I personally don?t think I could bear the thought of a person who is untrained to deal with my grief finding something on a 4-D scan at a baby show...

I am really sorry that this is unlikely to be the answer you were hoping for but I promised myself that I would always post honest opinions when asked (especially with you lot). Forgive me?

Intellectually, I am sure that there will be absolutely NOTHING wrong with your baby and I fully acknowledge that my advice is based in paranoia not logic.

Cadmum · 25/09/2005 23:14

oops! I hot post before I meant to!

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm DQ and Friz. It is really amazing being able to feel this little one move about! Can hardly believe that it will be big kicks shortly...

dramaqueen72 · 25/09/2005 23:20

thanks cadmum,
the only thing i have been thinking, is that the cyst is/was inside the head, and these scans are of the 'outside' if you know what i mean! features rather than skull. I guess actually now its booked we will prob go thro with it. i will just be overly nervous rather than enjoying it. sigh. I cant believe i have to wait til just NINE weeks before my due date til I can 'relax' about this baby! its very unfair.

Nemo1977 · 25/09/2005 23:25

Dq personally I would go for it, likely hood of anything being wrong is slim. However I am also a believer of forewarned is forearmed so to speak..

by the way lady where are you getting 9 wks from??????? I am only 28+2..lol

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 25/09/2005 23:28

LOL nemo, nine weeks from my next scan it will be I mean.....dont panic!

Nemo1977 · 25/09/2005 23:32

arghh dq you had me worried..thought i had missed 3 wks somewhere

OP posts:
Frizbe · 26/09/2005 08:39

Oh DQ I really don't know what I'd do in that situation, if it is just an outside scan of babys features, I'd go for it, fingers x'd nothing is wrong with buba when born, its so hard sometimes isn't it, out of my 6 maternity friends last time, I had dd with hip dyslapsia, and I hadn't even considered anything was wrong with her, as we'd even had a late scan for placenta previa, so that was quite a shock! (so like you say at least you have some fore warning) and another friends baby had a heart murmur, which has now cleared up, and another child was born with asthma like his daddy...so I guess what I'm trying to say and probably not very helpfully, is not to worry too much, chances are all will be fine, incidently all of our babies now seem to have their problems fixed, or have grown out of them now {{{Hugs}}

george32 · 26/09/2005 08:54

Hi everyone, I promise I will catch up properly today. (obviously I'm banking on a very quiet day at work today!)

DQ, is there any chance you can move your "official" scan forward so it is before your 4D one? Can you fib & say you will on hols at the end of Oct or is it done on a specific week? I would hate for you to be nervous before your 4D one.

Cadmum, I'm so pleased that you can feel the baby moving now. It really helped me to stop worrying, although I do still prod & poke the baby if it is too quiet!

How was the shopping Rom, hope you didn't get too worn out. What's happening with your sickness now?

J&BM, are things happening yet? How many weeks are you now? It's so exciting!!

george32 · 26/09/2005 09:00

Whoops, seen your other thread now J&BM, all sounds very exciting.
Any progress over night? (Excuse my silly pregnant lady question, if there is progress you probably won't be posting on here will you!! )
