jess - have u packed your hospital bag yet? I was thinking about this the other day when someone asked me about it. i totally forgot that you needed to do one! And they say second time round is easier as you know what to do!!!!!!!!!

On the more organised note, I have at least ordered my TENS machine!

Frizbe · 17/09/2005 16:13

Yingers, I was just thinking I might as well not have bothered last time as I took a bag and a bit! as had stuff for dh in also, but luckily it was all over fairly quickly and I didn't even have to stay a night, but your right, and I must remember to pack a bag this time too, as I might not be so lucky and get in and out so quickly...
Ohhh J&B's mummy, sooo excited for you I really hope you find time to log on and chat with us all, I'll be personally interested in finding out how you get on with 2, how your dd is etc, as my dd will be a bit older than yours (she'll be 2yrs 4mths when bump should be born)

munz · 17/09/2005 16:48

rom - yes i'll admit it def list maker - i'm so sad! lol. then tick things off as we've got them! OMG!!! that's sad! lol.

JM&B - hope you're resting as much as u can - as I said 10lb'er this time! he he he.

DQ - will find the threads I started on the nappies - general feel was dippys for the first 4 weeks ish then size 1's after that (esp if u're gonna reuse for a second child) then size 2's around 9 months is but JM&B is our resident reusable lady so she's better adetp for it - and also my encyclopedia on reusables/tots! lol. (i've picked her brain so much poor lamb must be exhausted form it! lol)

DH's promotions board sit's on weds, so can I please have loads of positive vibes and lucky thoughts for him - really hoping and praying he gets it - thought it had already been done but apparently not.

munz · 17/09/2005 16:51

DQ - thread on nippas and fluffles (from around 3/4 weeks old) thread1

I found it v useful and v helpful - there's just soooooo much choice!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/09/2005 17:11

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/09/2005 20:24

i would be careful hun..... most of them probably wont work!

Cadmum · 17/09/2005 21:42

Don?t do it Munz! If you pay him for the codes he has access to your card details.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/09/2005 21:44

i am officially stupid.... just went to old house and spent an hour on my hands and knees cleaning and bending up and down and now feel crap! Cant complain to DH because he told me to take it easy..... god WHY do i so this to myself?!

Nemo1977 · 17/09/2005 22:07

hello all

well have just been brave and joined the cloth nappy clique...lol Am going to do half n half but financially will be better for us.ITs your fault munz...as i bought the motherease nappies...lol Been getting horrible braxton hicks past few days physcially making me feel ill. Have my physio appointment on mon so hoping it is productive.

JABM tut tut tut...thats all i am going to say..lol hope you take it easy hun.

munz · 17/09/2005 22:14

nemo - my fault! how's it mine - was watchin them myself actually! lol. and reusable work out cheaper apparently??

cadmum/JM&B i'd pay with paypal so he wouldn't see CC detials only my paypal a/c, but i've found a £10 one on the money forums so have used that - (will split the order and use it twice as it's a lot this month with the extras and that)

Nemo1977 · 17/09/2005 22:28

lol munz you mentioned them on this thread which made me look...however I am happy as it seems a really good deal and as you say in long run cheaper. We will prob do half and half as we have a load of disposables that my mum has been getting. So if I use both I wont have to buy nappies for..well who knows how long.

big hello to everyone else. got v. excited on friday cause i was feeling almost-normal for about 5 hours, but then followed it up by a weekend of binge-puking and feeling like death again looks like the 14 week rule is not going to happen for me.

Cadmum · 18/09/2005 19:00

Oh Romilly... I am sorry that you still feel awful. I highly recommend taking the meds. The sickness just never went away for me with DD and the meds took the edge off and limited the actual vomitting. DD is lovely, tall and very healthy so I don?t think she suffered and may even have benefitted from having a sane mother for the last half of pregnancy.

My DH will find out this week if he has made the short-list for the permanent position... Really praying that this is the ?real job? that we have been waiting for. If he doesn?t make the list then he will be offered an extended short-term contract which includes a moving allowance so we could join him in N.Y. Feeling nervous but anxious to know one way or the other.

Munz: I hope your DH gets his promo. (For the record: I was never organised and I hate lists.)

DQ: Thanks for your lovely post. I really do find this time rather stressful. I have shed many tears over the fact that I have had to bear an entire trimester of puking 3 extra times before losing the babies. I am finding that the doppler is helpful because otherwise I would be going insane waiting for my appt on the 30th. Am still annoyed that I was encouraged to see High Risk team since they are doing NOTHING to reassure me during this worrying time. Thankfully I am past one of the miscarriage dates (13.5 weeks) and will be past two (16.5 weeks) by the time I have my next scan. I would imagine that I will worry until the baby is born though especially if all of the blood work done during this pg. still shows nothing.

I have had a dreadful head cold all week and today I have a fever so I will be off to the GP tomorrow if I am still febrile tomorrow as I may have a sinus infection. CHARMING!

have I moaned enough yet...

Hello to everyone else. Hope you are having a lovely week end.

Frizbe · 18/09/2005 19:12

Cadmum and Munz, here's hoping that your dh's both get their jobs!

Nemo1977 · 19/09/2005 08:39

munz and cadmum good luck to both your dh and their jobs/rises.lol

JABM just saw about your lovely dh and your elbow in the eye..poor you..lol

Hope everyone else is good today. I am all excited eagerly anticipating the phone call to tell me when Adams carpet will arrive..only down side is I may have to miss my physio appointment...Have it all planned out that dh will put new wardrobe together this afternoon when he gets back from work and then I will move adams clothes tonight..lol Then pil are taking adam tommorow to thepark fo give me a couple of hours to move his toys...wooo hooo he will be in there tommorow night. Poor dh has had fri, sat, sun off and I have been working him so hard he said he wished he had rather been in work..lol He is only on a short day today and off again tommorow so told him once he has moved adams bed for me tommorow then he is free to do as he pleases..also need to get him to write a cheque to pay for my cloth nappies...how sad have I become that these things excite me..lol

nemo - welcome to my world honney - my eyes light up right now every time I see a baby bargin! lol - esp nappies- I think i've become possessed by the nappie monster! he he

Rom - so sorry u're still feelin rough - hopefully it will be 16 weeks? - end of this week - least u know bean's well implanted - not much help I know but sickness is good (again easy for me to say considering i'm only feeling sick!) know what u mean about feelin 'normal'

cadmum - hopefully everything will go well for both our DH's, fingers crossed all around - would make a nice end to the year.

well got the doppler out again last night (it does say 20 odd weeks and I couldn't find the HB, but when DH tried about 2 hours later the bean decided to come out and play so we heard the heart and what sounded like kicks.

Nemo1977 · 19/09/2005 09:03

munz great tip for doppler...have something to eat and then use it about 20mins-30mins later and move it slowly as at this time bean is tiny tiny and can hide anywhere...i know mine used to..lol
