Frizbe · 15/09/2005 20:07

Oh the joys of pregnancy eh girls, and then to top it all, you end up with a little bundle of joy, that won't sleep in the right places and screams at you when ever it wants anything....oh remind me why I'm doing this all again! (because they reach 6mths and get a lot better!!)

dramaqueen72 · 16/09/2005 12:26

I love babies... I just fully understand the British concept of boarding school once they hit 7! Would love to visit with my children every Christmas and for a few weeks in the summer at a cottage on a lake somewhere... Until they turn 18 and join the army!

(I am of course joking since I have really only left them with a sitter a hand full of times in 8 years!)

Love them to pieces, really.

munz · 16/09/2005 13:12

afternoon all hope we're all ok today, think I felt fllutters - but not sure as they didn't last long. (baby's size apparently is 16 weeks) felt like when u have a rush of blood to ur eye and it twitches if that make sence?

cadmum/Rom happy 15 weeks girls! yay it's going up slowly!

lol@ u guys tradin babys - i'll trade anything right now! lol - or at least once this one is 5 i'l trade for a younger model! lol.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 16/09/2005 14:19

IM BACK!

Sorry about not replying to the message munz - DH didnt tell me you had text til i just asked him... the joys of him reading my messages!

All went well, did too much and ended up paying for it the whole weekend, and to top that me, DH and Jess have all got D&V AGAIN! Not a happy household.... but hey..... 5 WEEKS TO GO!

munz · 16/09/2005 14:21

YAY!!!!! she's back!!! don't worry hon I wasn't tooo offended! started a chat thread so we can have a good natter.

Frizbe · 16/09/2005 17:38

Hi all, hope you have good weekends, if I don't get a chance to dive back on here again!

romilly · 17/09/2005 12:24

munz - what on earth are:

bumbozzles?
fluffles?
wraps
boosters???????

LOL! i seriously havent a clue - i just sneaked a peak on the march due thread (i'm not posting on there yet, because i just dont get time at the moment to do it justice) and it was like reading something in a foreign language, lol

i can see i have a lot to learn

munz and cadmum - glad to hear that you now have bumps. i have had a huge bump for at least a month now, and that is despite all the throwing up must admit i do love my bump though! i like wearing stuff that makes it a definite bump so i wear my pregnancy with pride
just got some fabulous "earl" jeans that are maternity jeans but totally dont look it. they weren't cheap but i will live in them so reckon i'll get my moneys worth.

munz · 17/09/2005 12:34

rom - lol, that's types of tots bots nappies as i'm going to do the resuable ones - been asking the more experienced users/mums their advice. u should come over to the march thread weer a chatty bunch but not everyone pops in everyday (we do have a few actually who have been missin for a while)

at the bi bump -mines lookin more like a small round pop belly! lol- but it's there and gettin firm- hey only time i've had a firm tum! he he

glad u got soem good jeans - i've opted for the next size up in clothes for now (sale bits) as my logic says if I don't really like it then I won't wan tto stay in it after baby's born!

munz · 17/09/2005 12:36

oh and ddi u see the tesco deals at the mo on tommee tippee - not sure if it's online only 1/2 price steralisers bottles and pumps - bargin! lol

romilly · 17/09/2005 12:49

ohmigod munz - you are shockingly organized!!!

i havent even thought about breast pumps and nappies yet. but then again i am the person who does all her christmas shopping on christmas eve, lol

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/09/2005 12:53

Munz is VERY organised, but thats us army wives for ya!

I was sorted by the time i was 20 weeks pg with Jess.... this time, im just about sorted at 35 weeks now - just a few little bits to do - ie, pick up steriliser from my dads and sterilise newborn bottles and teats.... just in case BF doesnt work out again this time!

I have refused to buy a breast pump until i know whether i will use it or not, so really im done! Just getting impatient now - 4 weeks and 6 days to go! HOORAH!

munz · 17/09/2005 13:01

cheers girls! I have to be organised otherwise we'll spend the money and we're limited as it is I like a good bargin so I get more for my cash - only things we won't be gettin b4 feb will be the cot and buggy (hopefully in the end of jan sales can pick them up) and delivered in feb to a friends house so I don't have them actually in my house.

besides with xmas DH's b'day and mine it's expensive as it is! (buy some each month I say!) lol.

munz · 17/09/2005 13:02

he he as JM says that's us AW's for u! lol - what's DH's phrase - poor preperation creates piss poor perfomance! he he, besides if we move between now and feb I want to know we have everything we need.

romilly · 17/09/2005 13:17

well i'm mightily impressed and feeling slightly panicked now. i wouldnt have even thought of sterilizing the bottles before i had the baby. am i going to be a crap mum

my mother was a naval wife - then an army wife - and she is super-organised. she was the queen of list-making

i guess i better get into training...

Frizbe · 17/09/2005 13:18

Ohh JNBM just think if bump is early it could be in the next two weeks!!! so excited for you!

dramaqueen72 · 17/09/2005 13:51

j&bmummy - friz is right could be anyday now. how exciting. we are rooting for a swift delivery for you and happy healthy belly bean
rom, I would love to be 100% readya nd organised NOW. its partly cash and partly dh thats holding me back. hes nto one for spending money until the very last minute. infact when I went into labour with dd2 -and I have a history of fast labours- he was building the cot! and asking me to hold bits as i was having contractions....... he has a list in his head sept we do this, oct we do this, nove we do this, dec we have baby......and everythign i buy for baby beforehand gets surprised looks. I know its just how he is, and that he certainly wont see me or baby go without anything, but i do feel abit disappointed sometimes, that its just me right now looking in baby shops and bringing home baby items. he has agreed to take me to 'the baby show' in london end of oct so I am hoping reality will smack him in the face and he will indulge there. I cant beleive how far you guys are in pg!! its great one wminute you were a few weeks and worrying, the next you have bumps and are 15wks! WONDERFUL!!
cadmum -how are things with you? any helpful dr/clinic appointments? whens your next scan? I am crossing EVERYTHING that this bean makes it thro the dates you lost the last ones. I can only imagine how hard it is when everyone else kinda sighs and relaxes at 12wks.
munz -so what was the advice on reuseables for tiny newborns? nearly all my 'cloth diapering' friends admit not alot fits 7lb-ers well.......so I dont know what to try.
I used to be an RAF 'daughter of', and then a RAF wife for a while, so know all about the moving/organising force you ladies are

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/09/2005 13:58

yep - any day now and im SCARED!

im a list maker too.... cant do anything without a list!!!

When ill have 2 babies under 15 months i think im gonna need more than a list to survive!!!!
