Hi all,
Loving the cooler weather, I never thought I'd be glad to see the back of summer. Hurray for having a baby in December

I hope your "drugs" kick in soon Rom & stop your sickness. Only 5 weeks left for me before I become a lady of leisure. Can't wait to stop the tube journey as it is still making me sick.

Good luck with your bug hunt Frizbe, maybe the cooler weather will see them off

I was wondering how Bella & Wendy are. If you are still reading this, hope you are both doing OK. Miss you both being on here. xxx

Bella23 · 12/09/2005 11:17

Hey George, thanks for thinking of me.
So happy to hear that you are all blooming (although Rom I realise you are mostly with your head down a toilet bowl - bless I hope the ssickness subsides soon)
Well no news from me, am starting to feel like it will never happen. Only a few more months and then it will be a year and we will have to start going for tests. Am starting to think that my pregnancy last year was some kind of fluke and that there is a problem.
Sorry ladies as this isn't the right place to be talking about this, sorry just having a bit of a "feel sorry" for myself type of day because my BF just had her baby.
Best Wishes to all of you xx

george32 · 12/09/2005 11:36

Bella, it is absolutely the right place to be talking about things.
So glad to hear from you.
It must be a terribly hard time for you with your BF having her baby. My BF has had hers now & it was a strange feeling. I was so pleased & yet so jealous at the same time and I only have to wait for 4 months extra. It must be very tough for you.
I do hope that this is your month. Hang in there, I am still willing a little one your way

munz · 12/09/2005 14:00

hi girls,

hope everyone's doing OK, just been thinking about my maternity leave today - I think it will be from the 9th feb (1/2 day) until 31st August.

yingers74 · 12/09/2005 14:46

munz · 12/09/2005 16:44

dq - can't bloody well wait for xmas, I think it's 14 weeks till I break for xmas then only 6 weeks after xmas till I stop work god said like that I need to get my skates on and get buying some stuff!

wendy11 · 12/09/2005 17:01

Thanks everyone for thinking about me. I do catch up on all your news every now and then but just don't always feel like posting. I am so glad that everything is looking good for all of you.
Cadmum - glad you have found the h/b and hope that will carry you through until you feel movements.
Rom - sorry you have been so sick.
DQ/George - not long to go now until the third trimester.
To everyone else - keep looking after those little beans

I am doing reasonably well although fell to pieces on Friday because our IVF review appointment had been put back from 11th Oct to 22nd Nov. I couldn't bear going through another cycle which would have given me a due date of anywhere near February so paying to see our Consultant privately next Monday and hope to start another cycle of treatment later this year, although it is 6 weeks since my ERPC and still no sign of af. I keep thinking she is going to appear and then all signs disappear. We are going away tomorrow for a few days so no doubt she will appear in all her glory as soon as we set foot on the boat.

Bella - I think about you often and wonder how you are doing. I know it must have been difficult over the last month or so but I know it will happen for you again. We are unfortunately just one of the many for whom getting pg takes a bit longer that normal, but we WILL get there.

Love to you all

Frizbe · 12/09/2005 20:08

Bella and Wendy {{{Big Hugs}}} to you both, hope your dreams come true soon.

DQ et all thanks for asking! and yes I appear to be bite and bug free!! looks like the new stuff on the floor did it! hurrah!!

Bella23 · 12/09/2005 21:13

Thanks ladies for the support, you are all so lovely.
I have had a good cry with DH and am feeling like I have got it out of my system. He is being fab and keeping me positive.

Wendy - lovely to hear from you, I hope the old witch turns up soon and you can move on to the next stage. Yes you are right, you and I will get there, us 2 little toirtoises will cross the finishing line at the end of this long race we are running!! lots of love to you xx

dramaqueen72 · 12/09/2005 22:09

how marvellous your dh is being a rock bella, good for him. I have some info for you, if youd like it from my sister, who had immense trouble getting pg, the things she tried etc before having my nephew. of course if I'm outa line offering it I'm deeply sorry. just want to fix it for you, you know. I think about you such alot, it was always you who pulled me thro my black days and jollied me along. If i can do ANYTHING to return the favour just say so.
wendy brilliant to hear from you, I am willing af your way -first time i ahve wished that on anyone- I bet she shows soon, if youre getting some signs each month I suspect shes indeed waiting for you to be on holiday. hope your appointment is helpful too. let us know how it goes.
friz, funny after you posted last time I found two bites on my leg!!! have you passed them on??!

Harrizeb · 13/09/2005 08:51

Hi Ladies, please excuse my gate crashing I just wanted to add my encouragement to Bella and Wendy, It's lovely to hear from you I think about you often and have my fingers crossed for you that as you say Bella, the tortoise's are getting close to the finishing line.

Lots of love and positive BD thoughts to you both.

H x

Bella23 · 13/09/2005 09:42

DQ - thanks, hey you know me....willing to try anything at this point.....gimme gimme gimme those tips from your sister pretty please? xx

munz · 13/09/2005 09:43

oh bella - intresting thought here - what blood type are you? sometimes if u're blood types are incompatible or something u can have probs - althou they can give u a jab of something for that. (((hugs)))

hope everyone's ok today.

george32 · 13/09/2005 11:24

LOL @ Bella and the new tips. Hope they work

Wendy, how lovely to hear from you. I'm glad you have an earlier appointment & I hope you can go ahead with your next cycle later in the year. Hope AF shows up for you soon.

Hooray for Friz, finally getting shot of the bugs. DQ, hope they haven't come your way. You might just be allergic to London!

How are you doing Rom, sickness any better yet?

romilly · 13/09/2005 15:14

hi, ooh - its been busy on here, nice to see. even nicer to see some old friends back: wendy and bella lovely to hear from you both. wendy, i have often wondered how you are getting on, and i am so so pleased that you are going to have another go this year. i wish you every success with this next go, you have been so brave and i reckon you will be a wonderful mother.

bella - dont get discouraged, i feel you are on the brink of a BFP! just get going with DQ's latest tips!

munz - i couldnt live in your house - i'm totally arachnophobic! your description of the eight-legged beastie had me cringing

friz - glad you have got rid of your beasties, lol

well as for me i havent taken a single one of my cyclinzine tablets yet. i know this sounds mad but i cant bring myself too, i am still puking but slightly less and so i am trying not to take them if i can manage it. i am going with DQ's theory that at 14 weeks it eases off, and i figured if i am taking these pills i wont know if i am getting better (twisted logic but you get me, i'm sure). it turns out from my blood tests at hospital on friday that i am already verging on anaemic (low haemoglobin count) so i have now been prescribed extra iron supplements (WHICH - heres the rub - apparently make you sick [shock}) great, just what i need!

munz · 13/09/2005 15:29

morning rom - ooh anemic - u get taking those other tabs if u can failing thaht eat every few hours if u can manage a dry busciut.

have u girls seem - tommy breast pumps/ bottles in tesco half price at.com??

Frizbe · 13/09/2005 15:52

Munz, only buy a breast pump if its electric! trust me on this one, you'll soon get fed up of pumping by hand once you find out how long it takes......or was that just me?? but then I did turn myself into a milking cow quite quickly, so I could get out for the works Xmas do, 6 weeks after dd was born!! so that required a fair few feeds racked n stacked for dh to have fun with!

DQ hope your beasties have gone! sorry for passing them on, guess they had to go somewhere!!

Have now developed an itchy rash on bottom of back, will see midwife about it tomorrow, but reckon could be a washpowder change, as did this last week, to a cheaper brand! that'll teach me! back to the eco friendly stuff once this runs out!

munz · 13/09/2005 15:55

ooh ok friz - I didn't know that, (I hate the idea of suckaling etc as that's how we talk about the cows on the farm! lol) still ho hum. onwards for the electric pump search!

Frizbe · 13/09/2005 16:03

moooo, try Melda, they do one, available at Boots etc

Harrizeb · 14/09/2005 11:56

Rom Hi hun, sorry for crashing again, yes large doses of iron can irriate your tummy (boo for you), someone on one of the other threads suggested a liquid form that isn't as irritating? and doesn't result in constipation too, also take it with vit C as it helps absorption - I used to drink Ribena, think eating wholemeal at the same time helps absorption too - now that sounds a lovely snack Glass Ribena, slice of wholemeal bread and butter and your iron dose!!

Take care and hope it eases off for you very very soon.

yingers74 · 14/09/2005 13:54

munz - check out ebay for a bargain, have lately become a bit of a ebay geek! got my tens machine hire from there for 17 pounds which I thought was good!

munz · 14/09/2005 13:55

yingers - i'm already there hon checking out the bedding etc and nappies! lol.

how is everyone today?

dramaqueen72 · 14/09/2005 21:44

bella- I have just emailed you with some info from my sister. it may not be of any help but I wanted to share it with you anyhow.
munz -I shouldnt answer youre how is everyone because I am hormonal, crabby, and not having a good evening!! never mind, I will be better tomorrow right?
hope everyones well.

Cadmum · 15/09/2005 00:54

DQ: I second your emotions!!! I have a dreadful cold and so do all 3 of the little people I live with!

I am sick and tired of being a single, pregnant parent and to top it all off my PIL phoned the other day for the first time in 5 whole months basically to torment me about my not having found their grandchildren a suitable school! FIL called back tonight demanding DH?s contact phone number in New York. Why oh why his son hasn?t given it to him himself would be a mystery to me if they weren?t so difficult to get along with! FIL was less than impressed that #1 son is still in Jordan and doesn?t really have a contact number as he will be checking out and flying back by the time it would be a decent hour to phone him.
Enough moaning from me...
Found baby?s heartbeat again this evening following the phone call so I was feeling in a much better mood.

Will read this thread tomorrow to catch up. Sorry for moaning and not posting any personal messages.
