dramaqueen72 · 06/09/2005 13:45

munz never pictured you as fellow blonde! we really must all meet up/swap pictures........I know rom looks like dolly parton and thats about it!LOL rom.
cadmum, sorry the doppler wasnt 100% reassuring. i could only not find my little guy once, and then found it a few hrs later. infact i found mine better than my midwife could! I am sending mine back now this is a wriggly baby, dh is quite surprised, I think he thought I was just saying I would do that, and would actually hold onto it forever! I hope you get thro the next weeks and keep hanging on in there.
not having a great day so far, stupid printer playing up- one hour to fix it and no idea what the heck went wrong anyhow...., dd2 having a few too many stroppy moments and just discovered my big kids have eaten most of what i thought we were having for tea so have to do tesco today when dont want to. none of these things huge and terrible but am grouchy tired pg lady so they feel that way!
J&BM, may youre move go smooooooooooothly. we moved when dd2 was 2 wks old and it killed me. was awful. even this late on in your pg i would say moving before baby rather than after has to be better. suggest you sit and give orders about what box where
friz, hope youre bites are going......what are you putting on them? we have a great cream all natural and smells fabulous....must look up the name for you.

romilly · 06/09/2005 14:16

i'm sure he's gorgeous munz, lol

eh..scuse me for mushy blonde preggie question...but what is that about bubble wrap?!

romilly · 06/09/2005 14:50

sorry nemo - crossed posts - i hope they can help you with the spd, you poor thing - it sounds a nightmare. thank god you are seeing someone. how long has it been bad for?

munz · 06/09/2005 15:01

Nemo1977 · 06/09/2005 15:06

rom this time its been bad from around 14wks and getting worse, with ds i didnt get it until i was around 30wks and it was never as bad as this time.

romilly · 06/09/2005 15:29

nemo, and heres me moaning and whingeing about morning sickness while you have been going through this. i am sorry i didnt realize. i truly hope that you get that physio appointment soon - and that it helps you.

munz - lol @ bubble wrap, i kind of thought that was probably what you meant! mr.rom is normally quite trim, but i have noticed he is eating for two now that i am pg.! i keep buying biscuits and finding empty packets when i get to the cupboard! he also eats all the food i get him to cook for me and then can't face, so reckon he might be putting on a few rolls of bubble wrap...!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/09/2005 15:30

i wish my DH would put on some bubble wrap - or even better - share some of mine!

He's a teeny tiny thing and 6'3 so skinny and tall.... GRRRR.... heres me short and fat!

romilly · 06/09/2005 15:33

J&BM - i know what you mean, its more fun getting fat together! i think it should be compulsory for men to put on a few stone in sympathy, so they cant call you "fat bird" like mine did the other night

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/09/2005 15:34

cheeky monkey rom! Hope you slapped him!

My DH still tries to tell me im gorgeous etc but its all crap when im 34 weeks pg and stuggle to get off the sofa or out of bed without his help!

Nemo1977 · 06/09/2005 15:46

lol rom dont be soft about the being sick...its always worse when its happeneing to yourself...if that makes sense...we all like a good moan at some point mines just been consumed by lack of money so the pain took back seat in moaning stakes..lol

OP posts:
romilly · 06/09/2005 18:16

nemo: i have often seen the SPD threads on here and i do really feel for all you ladies suffering. it's true that the morning sickness is no picnic either! i think we are both going to be mighty relieved to get to 40 weeks hon.

romilly · 06/09/2005 18:17

J&BM - didnt slap him, but i did point out that his love-handles are coming on nicely

Frizbe · 06/09/2005 19:36

We have a cat, but he's flea free, trust me he was the 1st thing I checked....but it all started when we were camping, had half the field munching on me......then came home and all was ok for a day or two, then when I was out in the garden doing the watering it started again.....and I got another two bites, when I walked into town today!!! argh!!!guess I'm just tasty at the mo.......dh isn't gettin bitten, nor is dd........sob, sob.....

On a happier note, I've just felt bump kicking a fair few times! hurrah at 15 weeks!!

yingers74 · 06/09/2005 22:46

hELLO ALL,

sorry not been posting, have been so busy, again doing what, not sure! Am trying to redecorating the spare room so dd can move in when the new one is ready for the nursery. A friend is helping so it is not too bad.

Hope all you ladies are well. A quick q, who used a TENS machine and did anyone find it useful? I didn't with first but think I should give it a go this time and perhaps avoid an epidural.

Jess - not long for you to go now!
love and hugs all round x

Cadmum · 07/09/2005 16:25

Hello all! You have been a chatty bunch. It will take me ages to catch up. DH left this morning for New York and is off to Jordan on Friday. We did have a nice time while he was home though. I never did find the little-one's heart beat for him but such is life. I try to remain positive because even the midwives have trouble finding it when I am 17 weeks and I have found it a few times but baby plays hide and seek when daddy is in the room.

I am going to take DQs advice and voice my latest insane thoughts. I would love to have your opinions/suggestions:

New day=new worry. I was up most of the night last night because I really needed to wee but couldn't... I know that I have never had this happened before but it has made me wonder if the reason for my late miscarriages is that my uterus is so tipped back that it doesn't come out my pelvis properly. The sonographer commented last week about how difficult it was for her to take the measurements she needed because of how tipped-back my uterus was. I am now 13 weeks 4 days and I still can't feel the top of my uterus.

At 3:00 this morning I was convinced that I should call the high risk unit as soon they opened at 8:00 but now that the sun is up I think that I would feel silly. (am able to wee now so it certainly isn't an emergercy and I dread being fobbed off again.) I can't imagine waiting until the 30th to find answers but I am not sure what (if anything) to do.

Thanks.

romilly · 07/09/2005 16:29

Cadmum: call them - definitely, you never know, you may be on to something - and if not, at least you will be able to put your mind at rest. you have no reason to feel silly - i think you should call.

munz · 07/09/2005 16:35

cadmum - echo rom - ring them, there's nothing wrong with puttin ur mind at rest, at least see the dr/ mw

george32 · 07/09/2005 16:43

Cadmum, I'm forever going to the toilet thinking I'm desperate only to find I only have a miniscule amount of wee - drives me insane!! I know it's not a bladder infection because nothing hurts. I've just been assuming that my bladder is a really great place for the baby to trampoline

As Munz & rom have said, give the mw a call, that is what she is there for.

Off to eat a box (note box not tube!!) of smarties now
