cadmum I agree with the others phone...soo what if they check you out and everything is fine it will give you a little peace of mind for a bit. Re. the doppler this is obviously what is making it hard to find heartbeat aswell so maybe in your case limit the use hun. Hugs to you and hope they get something sorted out soon.

The consultant that saw me last week is in Oxford until the end of the month so I would only be able to speak to a nurse but I am not really sure that they would 'hear' my concern. They did give me their phone number but more for in case I need to change my appt or some other administrative reason and told me to go the A&E if I had any worries. I hate this feeling. I could do my head in trying to second guess every little thing. (I also have the slight problem of having three children and nobody who could help me with them today in the event that they would actually see me.) I think I will put it off until tomorrow...

munz · 07/09/2005 20:19

well cadmum - tbh i'd go to A&E- don't put off till tomrrow something u cna do today. if u're really unhappy and worried about it go down there, even if it's only to see beanie wriggling about - don't make ur self ill over it honney, u need to the OK for beanie (((hugs)))

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 07/09/2005 20:19

do u all want to get broody??? Check out Jess on the WATER BABY thread under member profikles!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 07/09/2005 20:25

sorry CADMUM - just HAD to - she was jsut so cute!

Cadmum · 07/09/2005 20:37

Thanks munz. I know what you are saying but if I do go to A&E today then I would be taking 3 children along with me and what if it has all gone pear-shaped already? If I wait until tomorrow then I can leave them with a friend and go by myself. (Sorry, I probably didn't make that very clear in my earlier posts...)

Frizbe · 07/09/2005 20:37

Cadmum, don't worry too much, although I echo others thoughts about contacting consultant with your theory, but my midwife was surprised she could feel my uterus last week, (at 14 weeks) as she said you normally can't feel it until 16 weeks! and that is also why midwifes don't try to listen for baby until 16 weeks as well!! although as per my previous posts, she did try, but bump was hiding! hope this helps, mine too is tilted FYI....
Hi to all as usual, have just felt bump kick again, looks like a lively one in there!!

Cadmum · 07/09/2005 20:38

JandB'smum: Apology accepted. She is SO cute. What a little sweetheart!

Frizbe · 07/09/2005 20:38

cross posts!

Cadmum · 07/09/2005 20:40

Thank you SO much Frizbe... I really thought that they could always feel your uterus by then end of week 12 unless it is tipped back. I will 'Google' it now. (This is starting to sound like the diary of a mad-woman, isn't it?)

Cadmum · 07/09/2005 20:47

How odd is this? I could have written this question myself (except for the date)... this Guess I really should drag myself to A&E tomorrow unless they are willing to see me at the High Risk Unit. I can't bear the thought of a catheter. Still have nightmares about the last one... At least the consultant doen't sound overly worried about her situation. (just like mine!)

Frizbe · 07/09/2005 20:56

crikey! and ouch I never fancy the thought of one of those, but if needs must.....good luck cadmum!

munz · 08/09/2005 07:52

cadmum - good luck for today honney - it makes snece to leave the 3 with a friend. hope all's fine for u, will be thinkin of u today. (((hugs))

Cadmum · 08/09/2005 15:05

Found the baby's heartbeat this morning with DH on the phone so we are both feeling much better. (Just in time as he headed to Jordan tonight.) I was up again in the night for the loo but didn't have the same trouble... Perhaps everything was in the process of shifting around?! I will call the High Risk Unit this morning to seek their advice but I am relieved that it didn't happen again.

Hope you are all well.

Cadmum · 08/09/2005 15:07

Frizbe: I am so envious that you can feel movement already! Are you stick thin? I have never felt anything before 19-20 weeks. (But by then they are so strong that they could play football for England!)

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 08/09/2005 15:19

Cadmum - glad all seems well.

Im with you on the late movements - with Jess i was about 22 weeks and with this one i still wasnt sure at 18-20 weeks.

No mistaking the movements now though - jeez, this kid doesnt stop! Jess was NEVER as active as this little blighter!

munz · 08/09/2005 15:19

arn't u gone yet! he he he, u'll be havin a boy then JM?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 08/09/2005 15:21

nope - still here - just running between 2 houses and BT are SHIT! Sorry for that, but they said our new phone would be on at 9am - still nothing - they have already disconnected us here, but for some reason internet is still working - just waiting for it to dissapear mid post!

Dunno if its a boy or not Munz - I WANT TO KNOW NOW!

munz · 08/09/2005 15:25

erm, yes it does, BT disconnected us as well for a spell - gits as well (cos we went to tiscali) but BB was fine still - weird.

can u not have a sneeky scan - althou what am I sayin 6 weeks love then it will all be over and u'll pop!

Cadmum · 08/09/2005 15:26

I wonder if activity levels are an indication of gender or personality. My biggest kicker was DD and she is still the 'feisty' one in our house!

dramaqueen72 · 08/09/2005 15:41

cadmum, such good news to know you and dh hear the heartbeat I cant remember exactly what week youre on, but early pg I definately had the need to go to the bathroom,........but no need when i got there! infact I have read its a pg 'thing'. hope thats some small comfort to you. but do let us know what they say if you get it checked out. what about drinking LOADS and loadds and keeping a check on how often you go ?(kinda making sure its going thro you, iyswim!)

hi girls - i'm here. cadmum: so please you heard heartbeat (quite jealous i dont have the doppler in some ways) and that you sound happier today. we are exactly the same dates so i'm 14 weeks too tomorrow (although my scan made me a few days earlier) - so i am PRAYING that the sickness goes, please god, please , please...

its still bad. i'm beginning to seriously wonder if i have that hyperemesis thing - how many pukes a day constitutes hyperemesis? yesterday i held absolutely nothing down, not even water melon. and i cant remember the last time i was able to have anything resembling supper. i am incapable of eating anything past 5pm without it coming straight up, even soup. it is worrying me a lot now, in terms of how this bubba is getting any sort of decent nutrition

i'll shut up now cause i am one very depressed rom today.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 08/09/2005 17:21

Rom, dont worry about beanie not getting anything - it feeds off your "stores" so as long as you are trying to eat a decent amount, and taking something like SPATONE for iron supplement you should be fine.

The sickness will ease off, but i warn you - it will come back towards the end! When you have a baby pushing your stomach up into your chest, you can hardly eat a thing!
