dramaqueen72 · 07/08/2005 22:07

oh munz that was almost in code there! took me a moment to work it out! hope your PIL are nice! and hope alls well with you still. its abit quiet here.............

yingers74 · 07/08/2005 22:21

hey all,

Rom - LOL, will try it but not sure I could keep a straight face. Luckily don't go on tube too often.

Munz - hope you had a lovley break.

cad - apparently the tube workers can now give you a badge basically am up the duff give me a seat now! Not sure they would work either as most people would just pretend they could not read!

DQ - am sure the soft marker will turn out to be nothing as you say.

My stress levels have gone up a bit, my own fault have been taking part in one of the 'in the news' threads, and am being bashed up a bit. They can get a bit heated and I am not very good at conflict so why I got myself into it in the first place, I don't know, should just keep opinions to myself. Must be the pregnancy hormones .

On a lighter note went to a lovely wedding yesterday, was really nice to enjoy such a positive day when there has been so much negativity lately. I am 27 weeks now, and one of our relatives who was at the wedding came up to me, who I have not seen for a while. Last time he saw me, I had just had the m/c and he said congrats on my pregnancy, followed by my explanation followed by an awkward silence followed by a car slamming into the back of his car! So this time he played it safe and said you look healthy!

dramaqueen72 · 07/08/2005 22:39

yingers nice to hear from you 27wks woohoo! seems only the other day we were plotting and trying so hard on the ttc thread. wedding sounds nice.
and yes, am sure soft marker will be nothing, just a pain in the arse now, worrying-wise. made me incrediably protective over new baby, which is a very nice feeling actually.
you have every right to speak your mind both on here and in real life! sorry it stressed you so much! you go girl! pg hormones are running my life right now- i am the definition of 'cranky'!! never mind, part of the joys of pg right?

yingers74 · 07/08/2005 22:43

DQ - yes time has flown by and I am glad so many of us have graduated. Fingers crossed for all of those on the m/c thread now. Although this sounds strange I do have fond memories of that thread, everyone was so nice and supportive, and it really did feel safe - do you know what I mean?

Enjoy the last few hours of the weekend. Am shaking my head right now at the fact i did not nab more wedding cake to take home, really feel like some icing right now!!!

Nemo1977 · 07/08/2005 22:45

time certainly has flown past...before we know it we will all have babies here

Wow, Yingers 27 weeks & J&BMummy only 10.5 weeks to go. Doesn't time go by quick sometimes.
I know what you mean about the TTC after m/c thread Yingers, I miss it somtimes. (although still delighted to be here at 20 wks). Used to make me laugh at the mad sheep effect when someone found out something new to try.
How was your hol Munzie?
Rom, your Mr Rom sounds wonderful, driving you in. It must make life a lot easier. Another week has gone by for you - WooHoo, you'll be at 12 weeks before you know it
DQ, I love your attitude regarding the soft marker being "a pain in the arse worry-wise". I'm certain that is all it will be.
Big scan for me tomorrow and I'm terrified. Roll on 11.00am when it will be done with.

yingers74 · 08/08/2005 10:39

LOL, yes and it was always good that no one batted an eyelid when you confessed to testing 5 times in a day!

good luck with the scans George and Nemo.

Pre-pregnancy clothes? What are those? LOL, I think I gave them up at about 12 weeks, I blame all the pastries I ate!

romilly · 08/08/2005 12:38

DQ - at last i found you on other thread. i have never heard of a "soft marker" and i can quite understand why you would rather have had no markers - but it sounds like the experts are not too worried about it, and everything else sounded great - so try and focus on those things instead. god the worry never stops does it!

George - thinking of you today, hope your scan is all over and done with by now, and good news all round. Nemo - when is your scan? today too??

Yingers - this thread is all the girls from the TTC one, so is just as supportive - the badge sounds hilarious, a subtle technique!

munzie - great to have you back, i am 9+3 too today, v. exciting, cant wait til friday - double figures

wendy - cant help wondering how you are, although i am hoping you are away somewhere with your d/h, relaxing and getting away from it all. really hope the bleeding has stopped now and you can stop worrying about any more ops.

cadmum - nearly tomorrow!!! will be thinking of you loads.

as for my news, i have been sick at work 3 times this morning - and i mean really embarrassingly proper chucking up (thankfully made it to the loos) but people heard thank god my boss is away on holiday. i am feeling so guilty about not being able to keep any nutrients down for beanie. dramaqueen - i found feelgoods drinks (tracked them down) but only the pink citrus which doesnt seem to do the trick, i guess it has to be lemon?

romilly · 08/08/2005 12:41

nemo honey - tomorrow! good luck for you and cadmum tomorrow then.

dramaqueen72 · 08/08/2005 12:46

rom, if really worried about the good things not getting thro to baby try taking you prenatal vitamins at night -and hopefully sleeping thro letting them go to work before you throw up again! and yes, think it was the lemon part of thsoe drinks that worked! tescos online had them...if any help!! I hope ti eases off son for you girl. i was........no, never mind, further on than you are shall we say!!, before mine eased.but then it did, quickly. I do recall weeks 9-11 being the absolute worst.
yingers know just what you mean about safety of m/c threads. it was so lovely. does anyone still hear from GirlfromIp? she really helped me, along with you guys, and I cant find her anymore
I turned 20wks yesterday. wow. seems wk 13-20 went just like that!
I am off on friday for a glorious fortnight in portugal. heaven. intend to milk pg status to the full and not lift a tanned finger
if you start new thread when I'm gone link to it from this one.

think georges and nemos scan are tomorrow Rom, unless my pg brain has got that wrong.......good luck ladies.
and cadmums too, -cadmum, have been thinking of you LOTS and willing the best scan ever your way.

dramaqueen72 · 08/08/2005 12:47

omg, cant spell and type fast. sorry....

munz · 08/08/2005 13:12

right then just about caugh up I think, u girls who are 20 weeks ish I can't wait to get that far - i'm hoping the sickness will be gone by then, althou I shouldn't really moan too loudly as i've only been feleing sick not actually being sick - althou now i'm back at work it seems to have come back with a vengance. - maybe i'm allergic to work!

the holiday was fab thanks, got my palm read who said i'd be PG within 4 months - got that slightly worng - so I told him I already was PG after he'd finished everything to which he said there's a strong chance it will be a girl, DH recons there's a strong chance it could be a boy as well, but I think it's going to be a girl, now i'm quite looking forward to it.

DQ - how did ur big scan go? (did I miss the post?)

cad mum - ooh house hon I don't even have one child (unless u count DH) and my house is a mess so don't worry about the mess hon, good luck for tomorrow as well, got ur email, am slowly gettin around to mailing ppl back from last week! fwiw i'm with the other girls last week I was scared stiff my symptoms had all gone, v nearly bought another test but then sickness back today so try not to worry too much.

rom - have u tried sipping ginger ale? that works for me, or eating dry toast.

yingers - so it's pastries I'm ment to have is it! lol, and there's me thinking it was cream cakes! lol, actually was v v naughty last week and had a cream cake everyday.

nemo - could we do it next week? I have my first apt next week, and am crapping it really, i'm so scared they'll either find nothing there or say i'm imagioning things still hopefully first scan will be in 2 weeks, can't wait really (but also can if that makes sence?)

munz · 08/08/2005 13:12

ooh where is friz - i'll look on the march thread for her.

munz · 08/08/2005 13:13

yep she went to wales. back now thou.

romilly · 08/08/2005 14:27

good to have chatty munz back . work does seem to make you feel more sick, even just the thought of going in! ginger ale no longer works for me, it did at the start but i think i overdid it one day and now it makes me feel green just to look at a bottle

dqueen - i am going to have to try and get online to tescos for the lemon stuff then. i am glad that you say weeks 9-11 were the worst, because it gives me hope that i only have another week and a half of this. cant believe i am even still at work today after this morning, i am now living in dread of public honking - a new thing to worry about, lol

you are right about georges scan being tomorrow, forgive me george, pg. brain kicking in. so a big day for three of you tomorrow.

how is cadmum today?

george32 · 08/08/2005 19:07

Hello, yep, tomorrow for me too.
Cadmum, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I do hope it goes well.
Rom, I had loads of days off work to start with as I kept feeling really grim. I did wonder if I would ever make it through a full week!

Congratulations on reaching 20 weeks DQ. I hit it on Thursday when the countdown begins. You are right about the time flying past 13 weeks.

I don't know where GirlfromI went to. She never quite made it across to the TTC thread. I do hope things are OK for her.

Munz, it's pastries, cream cakes, chocolate and anything else laden with calories!! Anything goes now. If it stops you being sick, eat it!!

Frizbe · 08/08/2005 19:51

Hi girls, sorry I thought this thread was going to disappear and re do itself under another name after wendy's awful news....so I haven't checked it for a bit.......
All is fine here, like Munz said, I've been camping in Wales!
Anyway I'm officially 11 weeks tomorrow and have just marked the occasion by leaving the gas hob on for 2 hours in the kitchen, dh has just called me away from my typing to point it out.... I've just reminded him I did this a lot last time and he should know to double check me by now
Hope your all ok and good luck with your scan tomorrow Cadmum {{{Hugs}}}

Cadmum · 08/08/2005 20:55

I am wondering how I will ever sleep tonight. I just keep going over possible scenarios in my head.

Being paranoid is no fun.

Thank you all for your support. It sure is nice having a cheering squad. (Especially since we haven't told many people in RL.)

Nemo and George: I will watch this spot for your results tomorrow. Just to let you all know my scan is booked for 2:00 pm here so that means 7:00pm for you. Just because you haven't heard from me doesn't mean that I don't care about you.

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 21:00
