Hi everyone,

I'm currently 9 and a bit weeks pregnant and my due date is 1st July 2010. Am very excited and thrilled to be expecting my first baby! There are so many questions and thoughts though and I want to share these with other women in the same situation. Please join this thread if you're due about the same time or if you just want to chat...x

sunburntats · 28/11/2009 22:37

Got a scan in 2 weeks and cant wait, i get all smiley inside when i think about it

dizzygirl25 · 29/11/2009 14:30

Hi all, im 9 weeks preg and due on the 4th july with my first as well. Im stupidly excited and wake up every morning with a big grin on my face. So far i've had no sickness or nausea and the only real symptoms i've had are some dull period pain like cramps. My boobs do seem to be growing at an alarming rate as well but there are no complaints from me or my other half about that! I also seem to have the worst wind in the world and apparently baby is to blame for that as well, although it might have something to do with the ten tons of satsumas i seem to be plowing through most days! Its great to hear from others who are going through exactly the same as me and i'ld love to compare notes every now and again. x

JBroRo · 29/11/2009 17:17

Nice to hear from you ladies. Like the satsumas comment - I can't get enough of anything orange related at the moment!

I'm still suffering from persistant evening sickness at the moment. Not nice!

I also had the swine flu jab yesterday. Has anybody else had it yet/considering it? I'm pretty convinced that I've made the right decision but have spent the day in bed today as feeling really lousy - may just be a coincidence.

Hi all

I'm due early July too - look forward to seeing you all over on the July antenatal thread that was started a while ago.

NotGrownUpEnough · 29/11/2009 17:56

hi i'm due 1st july too Are you suffering from bump envy too yet - i have friends who are much further on than me and can't wait to get bigger.

dizzykath · 29/11/2009 20:06

Hi everyone, I'm due July 17th. I had a miscarriage in feb of this year so decided to have an early scan last week. Saw a heart beat at 6 wks and 6 days so everything OK so far. Feeling a bit sick and crampy but happy. How's everyone's symptoms?

Dairylea · 30/11/2009 13:16

Hi dizzygirl - just saw your post and v reassured. I'm technically 7 weeks (although I think more likely 6, cos I have long cycles), due July 19th, and have no sickness at all either. Just growing boobs and a lot of wind! Also get suddenly totally cream-crackered around 1pm, which lifts about 3pm, although is not too bad if I just have to work through it. If I'm able to lie down for a second at that time I'll fall into a deep sleep.
Massively envious of baby bumps. Just feel a bit podge at the moment - not helped by daily morning scoffing of almond croissants 'just for a treat'....

nikki1391 · 30/11/2009 16:56

hi everyone im 7 weeks and due on the 19th July. I had a miscarriage in september and got pregnant straight after, and last monday saw baby and heartbeat ...good luck with all your pregnancies! looking forward to July :D

dizzygirl25 · 30/11/2009 22:46

Lol dairylea and notgrownupenough, i know just what you mean about bump envy. I ve already sorted through my wardrobe to see what i can wear later and i'm so tempted to buy clothes already. I cant stop looking in the mirror and imagining what i'll look like with a belly. ( my mum seems to think i'll look like an ostrich as im really tall and leggy ) Bring it on i say, i can honestly say i've never felt quite so contented!! I just wanted to acknowledge nikki1391 and dizzykath as well and say i ve got my fingers crossed for you both this time round. xx

dizzykath · 02/12/2009 19:34

Thanks dizzygirl fingers crossed here too.

Nikki1391 - good to see the heartbeat isn;t it!

stac14 · 03/12/2009 11:50

Hi ladies
was wondering if I can join in, found out I was pregnant on 20th Nov and had worked out I was about 9 weeks, but due to having polycystic ovary syndrome I found out at an early scan yesterday that I am only 7 weeks+ so should be due mid July. This is my 2nd pregnancy ds is 10 so this feels like the first time again lol. Not had much sickness yet, boobs are aching and have been cramping but saw the scan yesterday and theres a lovely wee blob and heartbeat. How are the rest of you feeling? xx

TinksandFloris · 03/12/2009 17:27

Hi,

Am currently 6+ ish weeks!

Am absolutely dreading next 8 weeks. I get v sick at the beginning and normally end up in hospital. Starting to feel really rough already.

I'm a bit nervous this time round as I had placenta previa last time and a bit worried in case it occurs again.

I think I'm due 28th of July but due to C-sections that'll prob be about a week earlier.

clareanna · 04/12/2009 20:21

Hi this is my second pg - ds is 2.6yrs- can't quite believe I'm doing it all again! Ds so easy now- great sleeper, fully potty trained ... And we're going back to sleepless nights etc... Still v excited though! Currently 6+6 and due on 25 July. No real symptoms - v unlike first pg, hoping it stays this way! Belly is huge already- look about 5 months gone in the space of two weeks- getting some funny looks at work now! Good luck with all your PGs - looking forward to the next 9 months!

del1 · 05/12/2009 21:51

Hiya, I'm 11 wks, due 28th June.
This is my second pregnancy, my first lad is 13 months now.
I have been sick for about 5 wks now, most of the day. But this time around, I know it wont last for ever, so is easier to manage ( light at the end of the tunnel. All I can manage is oven chips, plain toast or mash potatoe - oh yeah - and salt and vinegar crisps !? strange!!
Anyone else having second - got a bit of a belly already ? Didn't show untill bout 5 1/2 months with 1st !

Buckler · 06/12/2009 15:10

Can i join too? I'm due end of July i think, i'm only six wks now. Had two miscarriages and have no children so really really want this one to work out. Very nervous! Started feeling really sick yesterday today i've felt awful am worried because i had really bad sickness with the last two and they didn't work out, can't help worrying this means the same. It's nice to have people to talk to.

tea7oranges · 07/12/2009 10:47

Hello ladies, just thought I'd say hi. I know there's another thread of July mums-to-be, so I might join that too...

Buckler I'm the same stage as you, due right at the end of July and only just found out. I hope you're feeling OK. Hopefully this one will be third time lucky for you.

Buckler · 07/12/2009 16:34

thanks tea7oranges and congratulations (grin) i really am trying to stay positive. Felt really sick for the last few days surviving on Sprite and Salt 'n' vinegar squares lol, anyone else got any foods they reccomend to help sickness?

viksam · 07/12/2009 17:33

Hi Everyone, Can I jump on board too. Im 8+4 after first IUI! Amazing. Im sure like everyone else I have gone through a huge range of emotions and seem to level out on mild anxiety and general nervousness. I am also convinced time is standing still, know what i mean anyone? I just really want to be out of the danger zone ASAP. Im also a bit dissapointed as my antenatal appointement isnt till 29th Dec and I was hoping I would be able to have a second scan before christmas so that I felt reassured as I want to tell the family on Christmas day. What has everyone else done re telling people? Do you think i should request a scan or just wait. Hows everyone feeling today?

kapars · 07/12/2009 19:05

Hi,
I'm due July 7 so thought I would join this thread too!
viksam - if you can't get an early scan on NHS I would really consider getting a private scan if money not too tight.
I had a miscarriage in March and my GP could not refer me for early scan at my hospital so I went for a private one at 7 weeks 6 days.
This has reassured me lots though of course I am still very nervous due to my miscarriage.
My NHS scan is not til 29 Dec also but I have told close family and friends as they were very supportive last time.
It will be nice if you can show your scan pix on Xmas day and that would be a lovely Xmas present for them. You can book private scan to fit with your schedule.
I just started another thread as I suffering from excrutiating pain in my hip and can barely walk. Has anyone else experienced this?

tea7oranges · 07/12/2009 19:35

Urgh. What a day. I've had the most amazing mood swings. This morning I was the happiest I can remember being, just thinking that I have a littl'un inside me. Then I had to phone Orange to sort out my mobile and I hate call centres anyway, but this time I actually wanted to throw something out the window in frustration. This afternoon my sex drive must have gone into turbo boost or something as I was almost launching myself on my poor boyfriend. Then I found some blood when I went to the loo and just burst into tears, and have been down in the dumps for the rest of the evening.

I don't know what it means. It doesn't hurt, but still, a pretty nasty surprise. I have my first doctors appointment on Wednesday so I'll ask them there. Looking at the other comments I'll try and get an early scan before Christmas to reassure myself. That's if there's no other bleeding... God I hope not. I'm pretty frightened.

Beaming with happiness, boiling with rage, attacking my boyfriend and now crying. Urgh. x

viksam · 07/12/2009 21:43

Oh god Tea thats rubbish. I really feel for you. Did you have a bit of 'hows ur father' with BF? Could that have made u bleed a little? God this is all much harder than I thought it would be, and I thought TTC was the hard part! Ha!
Kapars I have already had a scan last week, thats how I know my exact dates but I would really like another one, not only for the pics but for the peace of mind! I have found a private one an hour and a half away for £99 im thinking of booking that. I really dont want to be a woosy, paranoid, hyper issue pregnant woman but i cant help it! Hows the pain in the hip that sounds strange, did you find anything out on ur other thread?

kapars · 08/12/2009 10:35

Viksam - I think you should just go ahead and book it. It is your pregnancy and you can have as many scans as you feel necessary.
My hip still in agony but I have moved my drs apointment to today so I wil see what he says. I can't walk properly!!! so can't go on like this. It is strange especially it happening so early.
Tea - its is perfectly natural to burst into tears when you spot bleeding. Your dr will likely send you for a scan for reassurance. You will probably go to the early pregnancy unit. Hope you feel better today.
Buckler made me laugh with the salt and vinegar squares - all i want to eat is crisps and satsumas - though trying to be healthy it's not working.

del1 · 08/12/2009 19:54

Buckler and kapars - salt and vinegar crisps are a must !! squares or discos!! ooh, cuppa tea and twix. I havn't been hungry all day, but might have to go to the shop now !! lol
