I've just discovered I am 5.5 weeks pregnant.

In the last 2 years I have had 2 mcs and our dd2 was stillborn at term.

So I don't feel like I fit into the antenatal threads, and don't want to frighten anyone with my experiences.

Anyone else out there who needs a gentle thread?

mrs

and

woollyjo

Just wanted to pop in and congratulate you on the births of your wonderful babies. I have been lurking along, but not posting. I am so pleased that you have come through to the other side, from those early days to now babes in arms. I am so happy for you. Congratulations

OneBabyPlease · 30/05/2010 18:51

Oh Woolly - I am SO relieved for you, I welled up when I read your post - CONGRATULATIONS! I'm SO bloody pleased for you & Mr WJ!!
Thank you so much again for all your support on this thread - you've been great. Wishing you all the happiness in the world xx Fabulous!

Willit, LF & Hairy - great to hear from you, wishing you all well xxx

kc - Ruby's a lovely name - we've got one picked but I feel a bit superstitious about revealing it before he's here! Will hopefully be revealing all on here in the next 10 days or so (I get a definite c-sec date on Weds).

Hope everyone else is ok too xxx

MiniMarmite · 30/05/2010 19:53

Congratulations WoollyJo, wonderful news xxx

hobnob57 · 31/05/2010 20:38

So so happy for you and your wee family A wee sis for dd1! How wonderful that such joy can come after such trying times. Seren is a gorgeous name.

woollyjo · 01/06/2010 20:25

Hi, thanks for all the messages it is great to hear from you all!

As I predicted after my contraction scare a couple of weeks ago it took ages to get my labour started (however once it did it took 1hr 10mins).

Seren is a real sweetie and very different from Niamh. DP is olive skinned and hairy and that is how my first two girls were born but Seren in fair skinned and we think has light brown hair (i'm a red head). I'm really pleased about this as it really does make her very much her own person not a replacement for Niamh.

Hope the rest of you are all ok.

xx

moneli · 02/06/2010 19:16

Hello, I'm new on here. I hope you don't mind me joining you. I have one ds aged 2.8. I was pregnant for a second time at the end of last year but the 20 week scan showed my baby had a lethal condition and would probably not survive pregnancy, let alone birth. We opted for a termination. That was on 6th Feb. I am now pregnant again and am delighted, but also anxious and I think probably a little paranoid. I am 5 weeks +1, but don't feel pregnant AT ALL. The last pregnancies were fairly symptom free apart from tiredness and changes in taste, but I can't remember when that kicks in. Is it around 7 weeks normally? It would be great if you could share your experiences with me!
Thanks

OneBabyPlease · 02/06/2010 22:42

Hi Moneli - sorry to hear you've had a tough year, hope the rest of it goes much smoother for you. I don't think I felt particularly pregnant at your stage, try not to panic. Why don't you see if you can have an early scan at your early pregnancy unit for a bit of reassurance?

Had consultant appointment today & am booked in for my C-section on Friday 11th June! Not long to go, can't believe I'm almost there. Can't wait.

Hope everyone's doing ok xx

Great you hve a date finally onebaby. So now the countdown can begin!

OneBabyPlease · 05/06/2010 18:47

Thanks guys - 6 days & counting! Finished work yesterday which feels good.
Had a funny turn in the hospital whilst having checks for preclampsia yesterday when they made me lie on my back - almost passed out & vomited - was awful & scared me! All ok now though & blood pressure had gone back down so that's good.
38 weeks today. Can't quite get my head around the fact I'll have a baby this time next week!
How are you & Seren getting on Woolly? Hope all's well & she's settling into the family.

Hope everyone else is ok too xxx

onebaby alls fine with me, im now 32 weeks and counting down got my scan on thursday to see if placenta is still low. Baby is still breech so its a good job I was booked in for section as would likely be having section anyway. Had a really bad headache the last two days
goodluck for friday

woollyjo · 09/06/2010 07:42

Thinking of you loads Onebaby I found it so odd to know in x number of days Seren would be here and couldn't believe we had gotten so far. Its been a long journey for us all.

Hi Julez congratulations hoping and hoping all goes well this time - how are you feeling?

Hi kcoffin 32 weeks - not long now these next few weeks will both fly and drag past.

Seren and I are fine, she'll be 2 weeks on Friday (her actual due date)feeding is starting to settle down, she is starting to find some sort of rhythm to her day which will become her routine I expect.

I have my last MW visit today, a bit sad as this lovelly mw has been part of our lives since dd1 was born 3.5 years ago and she was a fantastic support when Niamh was born (infact she delivered her).

Take care all xx

Thanks so much for the good wishes gang - really do appreciate it. Feel very emotional about the journey we've all been on together. Still can't imagine having a baby at the end of it which is now very near!
I will update asap, thank you all for thinking of me xxx

kcoffin27 · 10/06/2010 12:39

fatheadsgirl · 10/06/2010 14:05

Just found out that I'm pregnant.

I MC on the 30th of Jan at 6 weeks and twins two years ago at 12 weeks.

I'm 6+3 and my DD is the 30th Jan 2011, bit freaky.

We're quite nervous so we're not telling anyone until after our first scan comes back ok. Not even been to the docs yet cause I dont want to get too excited - just incase.

I know you girls can keep a secret though
