I've just discovered I am 5.5 weeks pregnant.

In the last 2 years I have had 2 mcs and our dd2 was stillborn at term.

So I don't feel like I fit into the antenatal threads, and don't want to frighten anyone with my experiences.

Anyone else out there who needs a gentle thread?

hi everyone, what a good idea this threat is
i have one daughter aged 11, sailed through that pg with no probs, have been trying for another lo since 2005 and have so far had (in order) mc at 11 weeks, stillbirth at 21 weeks (i know technically mc until 24 weeks, but i refuse to call it that as i had to give birth to my sleeping daughter) mc at 5 weeks and mc at 8 weeks, im now 23+2 pg with a little boy, have had couple probs flagged up (nothing too serious, or so im told) but im a nervous wreck pretty much 24/7 .. have just taken early mat leave, and plan to just try and take is easy and relax a little (easier said than done)!! sadly, i too wont believe everything is ok until our little is placed safely in my arms xx

Welcome Floris - you're in the right place!
Everyone here has had/are having difficulties in some form or another & it's nice to know you're not alone. Hope this pregnancy runs smoothly for you.

Thanks for the tips Woolly - will keep things to a minimum - sure I won't be abandoned in hospital & will have DH & parents to run back & forth if I have forgotten anything! Just realised I don't own a dressing gown though - must try to get a thin one soon!

Loving the sunshine today

Have a good weekend everyone xx

woollyjo · 25/05/2010 06:26

Hi Floris congratulations on your pg - I completely understand your anxiety. I am due to be induced in 4! days time and yesterday morning was aware that baby hadn't moved during my morning insomnia (waking at 4 unable to get back to sleep) heavy prodding wasn't getting a result, I was in tears, DH was getting dressed to take us to the hospital THEN she moved and continued to wriggle all day!

It really brought home to me that no matter how much I think I am coping it is really only wafer thin. Roll on Friday ....

Hi onebaby hope the appointments go ok this week.

Hi to the rest of you lurkers (I'm sure you are there).

xx

Hi All,
Thought that I would drop in and see how you are all doing while Wilf is asleep.
woolly Thinking of you in the final days of countdown. Its a bit surreal knowing when its all about to happen and tbh honest I remember very little of the last few days ( infact very little of most of the pregnancy!). I'll be looking forward to your hearing your happy news.

onebaby I went overboard for my hospital bag and hardly used any of it. I thought I would be in for much longer after the section, but was out after two nights. We also had loads of bedding as dh was allowed to stay over, so I ended up looking like a bag lady with all my stuff! I would recommend your own pillows and a nice light dressing gown though (try M&S) I got a really nice white cotton one from there.

Welcome to all newbies, and love to everyone else.

woollyjo thinking of you and your precious LO on Friday. Stay strong xxx

OneBabyPlease · 26/05/2010 20:50

Hi all - had my consultant appointment today - was supposed to get a confirmed date but he wants to see me again next week - arrggh! My placenta's moved a bit apparently & I've got another scan tomorrow. Pretty disappointed really, wanted to know for definite when it's gonna happen. I also wanted to stop injecting myself now as I ideally need to be injection-free for 24 hours before I have a c-sec & I'm terrified he's gonna come early - Dr said I need to keep taking them. Darn, feel a bit out of control & freaked out really. Hormonal & irrational too I know.
Thanks for the advice re the bag Mrs - not gone mad & packed too much.
Thanks for lurking & supporting too LF.
Hope everyone's alright - not long now Woolly - keep going! xx
