I've just discovered I am 5.5 weeks pregnant.

In the last 2 years I have had 2 mcs and our dd2 was stillborn at term.

So I don't feel like I fit into the antenatal threads, and don't want to frighten anyone with my experiences.

Anyone else out there who needs a gentle thread?

LF - I have clotting problems too (Factor V Leiden), only diagnosed after 3rd m/c. I have taken aspirin & clexane injections for the whole of this pg & it seems to be doing the trick for me so I wish you all the very best with it, stay positive x

TrishF · 15/05/2010 06:58

Mrs - massive congratulations to you! You got there! Well done! It's so good to hear a happy story on this thread. I hope there are a few more to comme over the next few weeks.

Glad to hear you're in your new house OneBaby. Not long to go now.

Woollyjo - hope centre parcs was good and that you're nice and relaxed.

My CVS results came back. All good - such a relief. Not sure how I'm going to cope with another 26 weeks of this. I'm trying to allow myself to be a bit excited now. I'm not one of thsoe women that blooms in pregnancy though! I look 8 months pregnant but am only 14 weeks and the nausea and indigestion are something else...and I don't sleep any more!!!! Why is there no fast forward button???!!! But all that said, still very grateful to actually be pregnant. Keepign my fingers crossed - can feel this little one moving around already!

Take care all.

x

Great news Trish - really pleased for you, hope you can relax slightly for a bit now.

I'm enormous - not sure how I'm gonna last a few more weeks!
Work is exhausting, just can't see the point of stopping too early & wasting any of my maternity time!

How's things Woolly? Hope Center Parcs was lovely, I can't wait till we go in November.

woollyjo · 15/05/2010 17:20

Hi all

Centre Parcs was lovely, a really relaxing week and dd's confidence in the pool has come on leaps and bounds.

So glad to hear your results came back ok LF and Trish.

Only 3 more days of work to go for me now and under 2 weeks until my induction date!

Take care

Wow - less than 2 weeks Woolly - not long to go now. Glad you had a chilled out time at Center Parcs. Try to stay as relaxed as possible - I know the anxiety must be trying desperately to kick in but don't let it!
Just over 3 weeks for me - I can't believe it.
Hope everyone else out there is ok?? xx

woollyjo · 18/05/2010 19:24

Had an 'interesting day' been having mild contractions since about 8am but from my previous experiences they are all wrong - round the front, irregular but they hurt so not braxton hicks. Went in to be monitored and they think they are just painful BHs and was sent home to rest (I am still meant to be working today and tomorrow!).

Well, they are still going now but no more or less so no idea what is going on, I'm 36+4, never gone into labour early and always had fast and furious, no doubt about it labours.

Not sure if I want them to stop so I can relax or get going so I'm not wondering what is going on!

OP posts:
OneBabyPlease · 18/05/2010 22:20

Gosh - hope you're alright Woolly! That's my worst fear, going into labour before my C-sec date - but I know for you the sooner she's out the better! Good luck - hope it sorts itself out one way or the other very soon! xx

woollyjo · 19/05/2010 12:36

Not much going on today (just as well I'm at work)just the odd contraction. I work in a team of men and ladies who prefer dogs to kids and so am being avoided!

Glad you're ok Woolly - keep us updated!!

All quite here - I'll be fuming next Friday when after that episode nothing will get me into labour!

Finished work yesterday so feel ready and after Tuesday I'm not so terrified of going into spontaneous labour now.

OP posts:
OneBabyPlease · 21/05/2010 10:47

Hi all
Woolly - at least you've finished work now & can nest/rest a bit! Hope this week passes quickly for you.
I've got a rare day off today before working all weekend - got a million things to do - haven't even bought anything to go in my hospital bag let alone packed it! In fact I don't even really know what I need to take! I am SO disorganised! I have never changed a nappy, been to an ante natal class or anything - I don't have a clue what to do with a baby! Got a bit of a steep learning curve coming I think!!
I've got a consultant appointment on Weds to finalise my c-sec date & a scan on Thurs to check where my placenta is & the size of my rather large boy!
This has suddenly all come round really quickly!
Thanks for the kind thoughts LF
Take care everyone xx

woollyjo · 22/05/2010 07:37

Hi Onebaby,

Don't go too mad on the shopping there isn't a huge amount that you need in the hospital bag and there is no-where to put stuff in hospital. All baby's bits fit into her change bag. Remember hospitals are hot, I had dd1 in december and didn't use all the jackets and hats they recommended taking (until we went to take her home).

As for the rest you'll be on survival instinct for the first few weeks so if it works its right!

Hope the checks go ok, off for a picnic in the woods today with the nephews, sis and dad as its his birthday.

Take care all xx
