I'll second that...
Happy Birthday Katherine

johnworf · 28/05/2009 09:23

Morning all.

tee they are probably just BH's but I'd have a bag ready just in case.

As for the your twins neddie I'd wait and see how things are during your 3rd trimester. K was breach and came out bottom first. It is do-able Btw my mother had my twin sisters naturally and did have some complications but that was due to the placenta and not the delivery of the babies. They came out fine - within 6 minutes of each other with no stitches

iris why you on the telly? I must have missed your post on that one. Are you an MP who has just been rumbled for the roller disco you've had installed in your 2nd home?

JJ fab news that Verity made it through the night. Personally would rather put them to bed an hour later and get a huge chunk of uninterrupted sleep. Was laughing at us X posting re the dishy geeky doc.

So, this time last year I was down a dirt track in Cornwall, lost, listening to a sat nav that was trying to take us over a raging ford and in labour 16 weeks early. I hope that today will be a nicer one than that! Can't be much worse I guess. Anyway, madam hasn't opened her presents or cards yet as she's having a lie down after her bottle. Will take some piccies of her later (if she lets us). Think I might take the LO's to Eureka....if I can summon some energy up.

iris you might find something to wrap around you on here. I adore this online shop and have bought quite a few things from it. There's some sale items too.

Thanks for b'day wishes. I shall pass them on to madam.

HOT WATER,! TOWELS! Ekkkk

Tee2072 · 28/05/2009 09:47

iris I love that show. Is your DH military? I assume that's the dinner, the one for the returning troops that they are having the final for right now?

Oh, and I can't pack the bag right now. A.) we are heading out in about 20 minutes to see our solicitor about our wills and B.) I still need to buy some stuff!!!

JW HAPPY BIRTHDAY K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ermintrude13 · 28/05/2009 10:16

Happy Birthday Katherine! Hope you have a lovely uneventful day JW!

Iris - telly, how exciting. And being pregnant means you expect to have your belly sticking out as soon as you sit down - perfect for eating publicly

Tee I got crampy pains again last night, but am pretty sure I had them for weeks before giving birth last two times. Am also pretty sure my cervix is not in the least effaced. I have done a half-hearted hospital bag because am still on for a home birth, but keep forgetting what I've put in it so much better to do it all in one go. Have fun at your solicitors

Neddie, one of each, how lovely. You will need to take advice (preferably from experienced MWs rather than scaredy-cat junior doctors...) but the big advantage of having twins by NVD is that they are bound to be small, so if they're in a good position they shouldn't be too hard to plop out. And you're used to witnessing successful four-legged births .

JJ hurrah for sleep, I'm really going to miss it...

duchesse · 28/05/2009 10:55

Happy birthday little Katherine! What a long way in a year...

duchesse · 28/05/2009 11:02

And my sister (the one who just announced her pregnancy) has been given a 1:29 chance of chromosomal abnormality based on the triple test they do at the American hospital in Paris. She is going to have an amnio, poor thing.

jeanjeannie · 28/05/2009 11:12

Oh iris how FAB! Don't you dare not tell us when it is!!!!

One of our ladies had her DS captaining the Cambridge team on Universally Challenged...and another of us(Bonzo) was in the Manchester Evening post as a militant tree protector....but THIS....this is national telly.....OH you've peaked!!! We're clearly a thread destined for stardom And as for ermintrude well, she says she writes books but I think it's either porn or she's the reincarnation of Babs Cartland....either way...it's fame!! I shan't mention the double page Spread on DP and myself in YOU mag...with a pic of Iris in a cement mixer

I really think we should be represented by Max Clifford. I also believe that we'd make an excellent stand in for Loose Women...come on - you know you would given the chance. A few hours without the kids, moaning on about nothing...it'd be like a RL MN

LOL @ tee sorting out matters of death...before life

JW have a lovely day - Eureka looks fab. Gosh, yes, off you skipped to Cornwall, I was so confused when I came back from hospital and checked into MN to see you were back with Katherine. Blimey, holidays eh....sometimes they are a stress!! Have fun x

Friend coming over - hurrah - all my cleaning won't go to waste !

jeanjeannie · 28/05/2009 11:13

Awww duchese if it's any word of comfort I was given a 1:2 by the great man himself Prof Nikolidies....and Verity is just fine...so you CAN beat the odds. I had a CVS and there was nothing to it. Fingers crossed x

Tabitha8 · 28/05/2009 11:59

JW Happy birthday to little K .
Tee I'm popping on Monday at the latest and have only just put Little Tab's clothes in the wash to take to the hospital... Hmm. Everything else is packed. I haven't had any pains at all yet.

BonzoDoodah · 28/05/2009 12:05

Ohh Happy Birthday Katherine! What a long way you've come in a year.

heron22 · 28/05/2009 12:31

jw Happy Birthday K ! Lots of hugs and kisses

jj i had a CVS too by Prof N at fetal medicine centre. he was really fast and very good. my LO is just fine too

heron22 · 28/05/2009 12:46

neddie wow, twins and one of each. your first babies? i have 2 boys and would have liked to have one of each. but now that i have 2 boys, cant imagine it any other way. plus and this is a big plus, DS1 absolutely adores his brother. not so sure he would have adored a baby girl? ah nevermind, all theoretical now anyway!

would like to another baba, but too expensive! schooling, etc!

mrsboogie · 28/05/2009 12:58

hullo all

Extreme business at work (been in since the crack of dawn ) but wanted to pop in and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHERINE!!!! and well done to mummy too!

More claims to fame on the glamerous 40+ thread I see - oh yes we must know when you are on Iris jj what sort of floor steamer do you have? I have ordered a Karcher one off ebay and have no idea whether its any good.

Catch up later!

ermintrude13 · 28/05/2009 13:20

mrsb Karchers are the best, according to DH. So good that if you clean the patio with a bit too much enthusiasm they can bring away the grouting - you have been warned!

heron Even though I have one of each already I think that when this LO appears there will be some 'politics' to sort out - DD wants pink and DS wants blue... But then again, DD wanted pink last time around and was still cooing over her baby bro, so I expect we'll all rub along.
(btw, there are lots of good schools that don't charge fees, if that's all that's holding you back from #3 .

JW Has K opened her presents yet? Is she playing with the wrapping paper?

hedgepig · 28/05/2009 14:03

Ollie says "gag goo" which means happy birthday Katherine xx

just finished a huge Tesco shop, now I haven't got enough cupboard space to put it in. I did have lots of ladies in Tescos saying how cute Ollie was [proud mommy emoction].

WW I hope the IS claim goes well, and that moving in with the in-laws is not too bad.

Heron I like my 2 boys, it saves a fortune on clothes

iris66 · 28/05/2009 16:05

< iris peeks in quickly with flicky, freshly cut hair sees comments about TV dinner and cringes, wishing everso slightly alot that she'd not mentioned anything and that there was probably a good reason the original post got lost >

will catch up later - need to sit a bit with cuppa to rectify swollen foot

ermintrude13 · 28/05/2009 16:51

oops mrsb you're talking about carpet cleaner karchers rather than patio cleaners. but i still think they're supposed to be vg...

mrsboogie · 28/05/2009 17:04

haha too late now Iris you can't deprive us of a little bit of vicarious glamour and excitement!!

ermintrude its neither actually its a steam cleaner which is supposed to do hard floors.

At least I flippin' hope it is!

Tee2072 · 28/05/2009 17:24

Even if iris won't tell us when the Dinner is, it will be on BBC at some point. And I'll tell you when the dinner is because I'm obsessed with that show!

Of course, we won't know which one is iris.

mrsboogie · 28/05/2009 17:31

so.. ahem iris what colour dress did you say you got??

iris66 · 28/05/2009 17:49

mrsb erm..... blue, yes it's blue, not black... and did I say that I'm not actually pregnant?

iris66 · 28/05/2009 17:53

sigh* this isn't going to work really is it

Tee2072 · 28/05/2009 17:55

Nope, iris it isn't.
