I am getting fond of Waybuloo too..thought it was way too lentil weaving the first time with its crystals and zen garden but now it makes me laugh with it's insistance on equally sharing freshly picked fruit and veg and Alex is even trying the 'yogo'(yoga) poses though I think he's a bit confused as to why he doesnt levitate too...it is certainly different.

Tee2072 · 27/05/2009 17:07

Interesting article JW. And so very true.

Hmm, sounds like there will be Waybuloo in my future....

I have a very hard object just to the right of my belly button. I think it might be a small bottom, as it moves away when I poke it.

duchesse · 27/05/2009 17:56

Tee- I get feet, that move when I poke them too. Also they painfully drum on my innards when I play then music. Arf currently listening to Kate Bush (Sea of Honey) which my oldest child thinks is utter rubbish, but I like.

Have spent the day doing absolutely bugger all, and feel crap and useless as a consequence. I need to find something sensible to do before I go to bed tonight or I'll have wasted yet another day...

hedgepig · 27/05/2009 18:28

Ooo Tee guess the baby bit my favourite , although I was always pants at it

I'm going crazy here with this weaning malarkey, how do you get an 8 month old baby to eat an evening meal? I have tried at 4 (too tired and too hungry) and at 6 still too tired??? possibly I haven't a clue. I did give him a bottle at 4 as there was no way he was going to eat big boy food so maybe he isn't hungry enough now? I making a chart tomorrow so I can actually see what is going on.

BonzoDoodah · 27/05/2009 18:31

Hey all - tried to catch up after 2 weeks off here but it's impossible ... I got as far as ...
jj - how's V after her crashing fall? Sounds really scary!
jw - your daughter is beautiful! But how has she hidden those tatoos from relatives for so long?
And the baby born with blonde streakes in her hair ... my friend's baby had exactly the same hair. Really unusual but gorgeous! Blonde streaks in dark hair.

I've been busy with in-laws visiting for a week (but good visitors that do ironing and gardening!), on a training course, then ill (weird virus), then away in Anglesey for a gorgeous long weekend of fun and sand and sea and relaxation. Oh and icecreams that the baby obviously didn't like as I puked it straight back up - not good on a VERY crowded beach - good job I had DD's bucket close to hand.

I've started Antenatal classes too ... and boy what a boo-boo. Have been seeing the same miserable faced midwife every time and she is just so un-empathetic and not smiley ... I've been longing to see the other lovely midwives like last time but hey are just never on duty. Anyway ... I turned up at the antenatal class and there was Lovely Ann one of the other midwives. "oooh" I gushed " when are you on duty in the clinic? I keep getting stuck with Mary".
Then I looked up ....
... and Mary was about 10 feet away pouring the coffees. Crap!!! She then sat next to me for the whole evening and gave me daggers. Bloody hope she's not on duty when I go into labour!

mrsboogie · 27/05/2009 19:09

evenin' all

No time to pop in today as was organising a meeting and running round all day.

hedgepig if you find out the answer to that question please let me know as I have never managed to get D to eat in the evening. Same too tired/too grumpy thing going on.

When we picked him up from nursery they said he had eaten veg and black bean stir fry, the demanded seconds and when he'd eaten that he was trying to get at the other kids plates for more. Black bean sauce

Off to catch up...

Tabitha8 · 27/05/2009 19:19

Iris I'm still here. Haven't popped yet. Can't tonight as it's the Champions' League final. I'm free all day tomorrow, though, so could fit the birth in then .
Bonzo Oooops re Mary. Comical, though .

ermintrude13 · 27/05/2009 19:30

Waybuloo, ok, check. Any more new CBeebies stuff I should be aware of? Eeh, it's all changed since my day.

Bonzo ouch, awful foot in mouth moment! Hope Mary doesn't attend your birth - she'll be discreetly unhooking the gas and air when you're not looking .

mrsb mmm, black bean nappy, that'll be super

Off to watch the footie in a moment and then to bed. Night all.

Wonderwitch · 27/05/2009 20:00

Good evening everyone x

Just a quick update, I have applied for income support today and rung about a crisis loan, which I got, not a lot but enough to get some food, so picked that up this afternoon.

Then I had my first Midwife appt, was in there for an hour and 20 mins, blimey oh riley can they think up any more questions??? the one that actually made me laugh out loud, was....
Are you having fertility problems???

I look at my belly looked at my DP, looked at midwife then burst out laughing, was actually so good to laugh, so it was worth going just for that.

Over all it was a nice appt and had a really lovely student midwife in there too.

iris66 awww brings back so many memories of my older 2 when they did all that, my normal reaction was how the {bleep} did you get that in there?? and thank you for message you an angel xxxx

Tee2072 I cant wait to start feeling movements, I adore that part of PG, even when it keeps me awake at night, just so lovely My DD used to go absolutely bonkers as soon as I got in the bath, my ex Hubby couldn't watch it used to make him feel sick my tummy moving SO much, it did look very odd and i would have to get out for it to stop after a while as I did start to get sea sick lol

hedgepig I so cant wait for guess the baby bit to start with me, i could spend days on end getting nothing else done doing it lol

and as for all the cbeebies stuff...... ermmmm (clueless emoticon) ???? anyone one up for private lessons in kids programme's, so out of touch, haven't got a clue now, well it has been 18 yrs... oh dear lol

Hope eveyone is well and had a good day

xxXxx

heron22 · 27/05/2009 20:19

ww hi, so glad that you got some help at last. i love the story of your midwife visit! it is very funny.

mrsboogie · 27/05/2009 20:39

ww good news - glad you got the IS and crisis loan sorted. I hoped you wouldn't have too much bother.

lol at the midwife app. Another question at the booking in appointment that made me go was "are you and the father blood relatives?"

johnworf · 27/05/2009 21:25

Evening ladies.

Still suffering the football here. DSS has been allowed to stay up and they're yabbering on all through the match about....oh I dunno. Whatever it is you talk about when you watch football

Anyway, picked up the new bath for K and another bath toy so tomorrow we're having a splashing time for her b'day.

ww brilliant news that things are moving and you've at least got some money coming in. Make sure you claim for everything that you're entitled to

mrsb your son has very cosmopolitan tastes in food. K thinks that a cheesy pasta bake is cordon bleu No wonder he won't eat your stuff at home. It's simply not fancy enough. I suggest you get Gordon's new book and start making him some of the posh nosh

bonzo DD#1 has managed to hide the tatts by wearing long sleeves for years in front of her father/grandparents. Now she's been rumbled - but only by her uncle. Hilarious story re the sour MW. Exactly something I would do - putting my big size 7's straight into it.

I have caught a bit of the waybuloo. These are the new Cbeebies that do yoga, yes? Will keep an eye out for a full episode. K still loves Justin aka Mr Tumble. Her favourite by miles

Did anyone see the pics of Tori Spelling on DM? She's so out of proportion. Her boobs are huge, they must be fake. She's as thin as a lat.

Think early night in order. Was watching the 'how to lose weight' programme on Beeb1 with the doctor (who is on everything remotely concerning health these days) who I quite fancy. It's the geeky specs that do it. Anyhoo, he told me nothing that anyone with an ounce of sense would already know.

Now where is that book I was going to start........last July?

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 27/05/2009 21:30

Evening ladies - did anyone see the "how to lose weight" programme? Seems that soup, protein for brekky and low-fat dairy are the key to shifting the bulk....huzzah....the size 10 wardrobe beckons

WW pleased about the loan - short simple steps help pave the way. LOL @ fertility problems questions....huh?!!

mrsB black bean sauce? Nice work nursery - can I leave Iris there for a week?!

bonzo I'm sure you and the lovely Mary are destined to become firm friends ... Bloody funny Am very at Angelesy...love that place....got an aunt and cousin there. Some of the beaches are just amazing - that one where there are all the trees and everyone goes kite surfing...OOOoooooooo....lovely.

tabitha I don't think there is much on telly tomorrow, especially in the day - so perhaps little Tab could share a birthday with JW's Princess K...

duchese doing bugger all is marvellous - it's to be embraced

hedgepig if it's any consolation, Verity has only started having an evening meal for about a month! Mind you - this is the LO that basically couldn't be bothered with solids till she was 8 mths.

Off to finish steam cleaning the floor...nice

jeanjeannie · 27/05/2009 21:32

HAhahahah jw X-posts...both me AND DP find the geek man attractive

Neddie · 28/05/2009 08:14

HI all
ww glad that you have managed to get a little help with your problems, hope it continues.

bonzo that's the sort of thing that I do all the time

I had my 24 weeks scan yesterday. I have Ying and Yang baby set, with boy head up bum down and girl bum up head down. They confirmed that they were a boy and girl. To be honest it looked a real jumble in there but they had everything normal and my BP has finally gone up to 100/60 so not going dizzy as much. I had a wave of panic in the waiting room looking at the caesarian leaflet- I just don't know what to do. Should I just go for it and have them au naturel and risk them getting stuck or have a caesarian and be off work for 6 weeks?
Dilema......

iris66 · 28/05/2009 08:26

morning

Neddie there's still pleanty of time for DS to turn isn't there? and delivery may be fine anyway (especially if DS comes out second. What are the chances of getting another scan nearer the time to check?

duchesse - I love Kate Bush too (but why weren't you listening to "the kick inside"?

ww really pleased you have something sorted now - "the only way is up"! (wasn't that Yazz? )

off to the hairdressers later for a chop inreadiness for our big TV debut (d'you think 8 days is enough time to allow it to settle - I'm woried to death it'll look 'done' )

Wonderwitch · 28/05/2009 08:38

Good Morning all xxx

Hi Neddie
Aww twins and the full set, iv have always secretly wanted twins, no idea why tho. that is a bit of a dilemma naturally v CS, think the best is to be guided by your MW and Consultant if you have no strong choice, these things tend to decide themselves at the time anyway. TBH I don't think I would know what to do for the best.

mrsboogie
I have only applied for IS, have to go to the job centre next tues to have it all checked then it will be sent to be decided if we qualify, so could be a few weeks yet before we find out.

johnworf
We will def try an claim all we can, my DP has always paid a very high tax from when he left school so we intend to get what we deserve, we got a great book from the MW yest, pregnancy book from NHS, it has all the benefits in it you can claim there was a few in there we had never heard of, so thats good. also will demand ask what we can get when we go to appt on tues.

We have decided we are going to move into DP's parents house temp, partly to help them cope at the are both over 65 and they are about to lose everything, and partly coz we wont get housing or help with housing as their mortgage is in DP's name ( long story) so until the house is sold/ repossessed at least its a roof over our heads... not ideal but not much else we can do.

Things very slowly getting sorted, scary, but we will get there.

Have a great day all xxxXxxx

Neddie · 28/05/2009 08:39

iris I have them every 4 weeks at the moment- half of me is excited and proud that I have managed to grow one of each at my age but the other half fears the consequences (which I didn't really feel with the others).

Wonderwitch · 28/05/2009 08:42

iris66

Love that song, think that could be our song from now on, has to be really doesn't it

Oh have a lovely time at hairdressers... what's this TV appearance??? did I miss something??

Yeah 8 days is more than enough, im sure you will look fantastic and wont need that anyway

xxXxx

Tee2072 · 28/05/2009 08:52

Morning all.

I was up most of the night with period like cramping contractions. Less than fun and didn't seem to go anywhere! Really need to pack my hospital bag!

neddie One of each is so exciting. And I would agree that you have some time for the boy to turn. I don't think you need to decide on delivery method quite yet!

WW Glad you're getting somewhere getting things figured out. I would agree, living with PIL is less than ideal, but better than living no where.

Have a nice day all!

jeanjeannie · 28/05/2009 08:53

Morning all. SLEEP! YAY! although madame Verity didn't go to bed till 9pm....minx!

iris have I too missed something about a TV appearance? Was it while I was sleepwalking through the last two weeks?!

WW A plan - excellent. And yes, it's people who've always worked hard and paid into the system who fail to claim what's theirs Make sure you can get what you guys need x

neddie Glad to hear it all went well. No pearls of wisdom re natural Vs CS - just to say that recovery in my case was REALLY speedy after my planned C-section but much slower after emergency. In fact I really believe I could easily have functioned at work after just 3-4 weeks. Mind you, I'm not sure if I could have delivered a foal I was in a much better state though then many of my NCT friends who had stitches and tears.

Right - off to see if mate is coming over with her baby. I do hope so - I spent yesterday eve steam cleaning the floor - shame for it to go to waste

jeanjeannie · 28/05/2009 08:54

X-posts...tee pack that bag NOW!! That's what my mate (the 1hr 40 mins beginning to end birth) had the day before
PACK TEE, PACK!!!

Tee2072 · 28/05/2009 09:00

LOL. Calm down JJ you might pull something!

I am going to pack this afternoon, I promise!

jeanjeannie · 28/05/2009 09:15

OOOoooo I forgot..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHERINE!!!!!

jj - Great British Menu (BBC2 6pm) DH was one of the lucky few chosen to enjoy a michelin star feast so I get to tag along - though am crapping myself at the thought that we may be on tv tbh (thought I'd said about it - prob in a post that got lost) My frock arrived yesterday (needs 4" lopped off the bottom so taking it to the tailors later) but still have to find a bolero/cardi/wrap to go over so I'm going to mooch round monsoon at the weekend.

Tee not this afternoon!!!!! Pack that bag now!! even I've got a bag packed and I'm not quite 35 weeks yet!
