maybe we should link expat to those scary websites where things scream at you lol.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 13:23

here's hoping, misdee!

if she can't do the sweep on sunday i'll at least get an appointment for the induction to start.

misdee · 31/10/2008 13:29

i'm going to jump on dh tonight. thats if i am not exhausted by all these bloody pains by then.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 13:31

i still think you'll go before me and MamaG here .

misdee · 31/10/2008 13:48

is it bad that i hope so too? after 5th nov would be good.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 13:49

no way! we're cheering you on.

perhaps the fireworks will scare her out, though, before 5 nov.

i was hoping for some tonight but it's quiet round this way.

Neeerly3 · 31/10/2008 13:58

i thoroughly recommend a Thai curry.....curry is supposed to jimmy things along anyway, but a thai one is almost sure fire - i had one at 29 weeks and gave birth the next day - so not great in that situ, but for you girls ready or overdue - get eating!!!

MamaG · 31/10/2008 17:05

Good luck Flum hope this is it for you

Well done blackbird - you must be very stretchy!!

misdee, I thought you were getting going as well - but I still think you'll be before me and expat

The fucking bastard MWs here won't sweep before 41 weeks, you'd think she'd given me the holy grail when she agreed to do it a day early.

ARGH - I wonder if I have a hissy they'll do me on Monday? I'd have to have a really BIG hissy though as they know me by now and know I'm very calm

expat they'll induce you before they induce me, by the sound of it - my will be on or around 11th Nov which seems an age away

Nothing budged DD but my friend swore by Lavender Oil, in bath. Good Luck all

Flum · 31/10/2008 17:08

Nada, nada, nada. Just (for 1st time in myh life) spent two hours on hands and knees scrubbing (even removing countless stickers dds have applied over last two years) and polishing the kitchen floor. Always liked having a big kitchen until today.

Everything stopped as soon as I got up from sofa at 1ish!! Gutted had got really excited as never had a slow start before..

MamaG · 31/10/2008 17:13

how far over are you now flum?

i'm planning on laying it on thick when i go in on Sunday.

seriously, tears and all.

i am fucking miserable. my entire torso is baby.

just lying down is agony.

he lays on the sciatic nerve and the nerve running down the front of my left thigh.

i lie down and acid goes straight up into my throat.

i have to drink tons of Gavison, which is full of salt so i'm constantly thirsty.

piles from hell so painful.

i never felt this bad even after dd1's horrible forceps birth.

i'm shoving evening primrose oil up my yin yang.

can't take this anymore.

told DH in no uncertain terms that i refuse to have ANY sex until one or the other of us is sterilised - can't take combined contraceptives whilst BF and can't take progesten-only because they intensify my depression - so if he doesn't get on the horn about his snip then he can wait until i argy bargy my tubal ligation.

LackaDAISYcal · 31/10/2008 18:31

would this be a good time to say I think things are starting for me? .....but [scared]

having little contractions every five mins and then every thord or fourth one is a right mean old stinker. bowels have emptied thamselves spectacularly (I never knew I could produce so much in one sitting ) and I just want to go and sit in a darkened room and am very weepy too.

feel like I need to be permanently on the toilet as well and want to wee immediately after having a wee.

of coures it could just be a UTI

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 18:34

we're cheering for you, daisy!

come out, baby daisy! come out!

best of luck for a halloween baby.

scorpio1 · 31/10/2008 18:35

LackaDAISYcal · 31/10/2008 18:53

I'd forgotten how very painfulthese things get, adn this is just the start.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 18:54

FAQ · 31/10/2008 19:04

ooo good lucky daisy

LackaDAISYcal · 31/10/2008 19:15

Where's MamaG? and blackbird? are they in labour or being induced?

big painful ones every 10-15 mins now.

having to walk about as can't sit down when they are happening and the pressure in my bottom is something else.

think i need to shut down the pooter and go with the flow......

all credit to everyone who has done a live birth thread; it;s taking all my concentration to breathe let alone give a running comentary.

Poor trickle treaters have just been round and sent away with a timeout bar from a woman who is looking more ghostlike than all their makeup could make them look

no doubt i'll be back with egg on my face and a big false alram in the morning

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 19:28

call the midwife, daisy!

oooooo, how exciting!

best of luck, daisy.

hope this is the real thing.

we need a halloween baby here.

lulalullabye · 31/10/2008 19:53

Good luck Daisy

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 31/10/2008 21:11

blackbird had a son this morning ,weighing a massive 9lb 11 oz.And not a single stitch ! His name is samuel paul

MamaG · 01/11/2008 07:11

Good luck Daisy, hope everything is going/went well

expat and I don't mind at all that people are popping before us.

expat - do lay it on thick. Someone earlier in thread said they were induced on their due date due to being so uncomfortable (was it charlee?) so if you tell them how you feel, they might even book you in the next day!

I shouldn't moan really as I feel absolutely fine, apart from a bit uncomfortable - people keep stopping me in the street asking how far over I am and then saying "but you look so well" - i grit my teeth and say "I know"

TBH I'm dreading school run on Monday morning - when we broke up there was lots of twittering about "oooh hopefully we'll have some news when we get back" etc. Fuck off. You won't
