still on 225mg of ranitidine/day and i still wake up needing to swig Gaviscon all night.

kayzisexpecting · 31/10/2008 09:56

Expat, I really feel for you. I get awful heartburn and its just horrible. Oh well only 6 weeks to go.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 09:58

i had it just as bad with both girls and everyone told me they'd have tons of hair.

dd1 did.

dd2 was bald as a coot.

kayzisexpecting · 31/10/2008 10:01

I had it with DS and he was born with loads of hair. This time round it seemed to get really bad before I even got a bump.

I'll have to see if this one has lots of hair.

MamaG · 31/10/2008 10:05

its all bollocks though isn't it

I had no heartburn whatsoever with DD and she had a full head of hair

A bit of it with DS - again, full head of hair

I'll get such a shock if this baby is a baldy!

Most of the old wives tales said I was having a girl with DS and with this one too. But it's another boy.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 12:07

right, i've gone and pegged out 2 loads of washing on the line up a hill, carted water into a bucket and mopped the floor twice (swept it, too), cleaned the mop in a bucket of bleach and washing up liquid, hoovered, folded a load and put it away and cleaned the kitchen.

the butter is softening so i can make some mincemeat muffins.

then i'm going to go peg more washing.

stuff it.

if he aint' coming out, then i'm going to get some work done!

CharleeInChains · 31/10/2008 12:08

You wouldn't be nesting would you Expat?

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 12:12

i'm long past that, charlee.

i'm pissed off as hell, basically.

i've got another load in the washing machine, too.

going to peg that out - it's blowing hard here so the clothes are drying quickly.

i'm also going to have a big glass of wine wine with my curry tonight.

CharleeInChains · 31/10/2008 12:14

Good on you.
Go for it, i was so bloody miserable and unsomfortable by the end of my pregnancys that all rules went out the window.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 12:18

the difference is that i have given birth twice at 38 weeks.

all that 'the baby will come when he's ready'.

oh yeah?

bullshit! he'll come when he's induced, which will be as soon as possible.

sweep at 40+2 and induction the following week as soon as i can get on their books.

bollocks to 'watchful waiting'.

i'm getting him the hell out before he gets so big he rips me to shreds.

and dope, too. i want every bit of dope in the place.

CharleeInChains · 31/10/2008 12:23

I had DS1 on his due date becuse i asked for an induction - i couldn't stand it anymore!

DS2 would have been the same if he hadn't come at 38 weeks.

I hate all the, 'oh baby will come when it's ready' crap, the worst part of pregnancy for me was the end, i was so fat i could hardly walk or bloody breath and it constantly felt like i was carrying a bowling ball between my legs. I was the most irritable b*tch you can imagine.

My sister LOVED being pregnant i'm not sure how she can, it's the one thing putting me off having anyomre is the being pregnant part.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 12:25

oh, thankfully they'll listen to desperate women here and get them induced once they go over.

i mean, some places won't sweep till 41 weeks.

they're more than happy to do it for me on sunday and book induction that day when they can get me in for it.

cuz i'm so over this shit and the last thing i want it to rip all over the place after teh consultant did such a good job stitching me up when i had DD1.

kayzisexpecting · 31/10/2008 12:37

I was told that round here they will only induce you when you are 14 days over. For me that will be Boxing Day. I think I will have killed someone by then.

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 31/10/2008 12:53

misdee · 31/10/2008 13:08

after having to call the midwife out this morning due to contractions, backache and generally feeling this is it, and damned cervix is closed tighter than ever (very unusual seeing you;ve have 3 kids already ), i have also decided after snoozing to just get on and get some work done. see if i can shift the little moo out. either than or will see if any kidsscare her out tonight with some masks and trick or treating. failing that, will be getting loads of bangers for bonfire night and dynmaite her out.

and i am not even overdue. still have 2weeks and a few days left.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 13:09

dammit, misdee!

i really thought you were going to go pronto, too.

i had a few contractions last night, but a bath took care of that.

misdee · 31/10/2008 13:11

its all in my back and it hurts like hell. and my fanjo painful, and dampness preveils. grrr.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 13:16

dammit.

that sounds really close with the back pain and painful fanjo.

labour vibes!!

misdee · 31/10/2008 13:19
