I am 32 weeks pregnant. I have SPD. I have a Bartholin's cyst (growing bigger by the day!). I can't sleep for SPD pain / compressed bladder/anxiety dreams about impending birth (VBAC or elective c0section? Still can't decide!)

And to cap it all off, I have now developed haemorrhoids
(sp?) of epic proportions. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.

Feel free to join me in a BIG, FAT WHINGE.

oopsadaisyangel · 29/09/2008 16:43

Oh yes please!

I'm 24 weeks, have sciatica and recurring SPD. Can't sleep for sore bad and bump and freaking out about pregnancy after having stillbirth in Dec 07. oh and i've developed haemorrhoids as well!

MrsMattie · 29/09/2008 16:51

Hi oopsadaisyangel. So sorry to hear about your stillbirth. I have seen you on MN loads, but somehow I missed that this had happened . I had a m/c last year - not the same in any way, shape or form, I know, but I can understand probably about 10% of your worries ands not being able to relax throughout your pregnancy. Wishing you luck and positivity xxx

The SPD is a bummer, eh? I had it last time, really severely, but it developed much later on. This time it kicked in at 16 weeks, FGS! And the haemorrhoids - blimey, they are evil. I'm sending DH out to the chemist to get me soemthing for them later

Hello fellow moaners, i have just had a meeting with mw and at 32 wks i have pelvic dysplasia and slightly raised blood pressure. So she wants to see me in 2 weeks instead of 4. I have really sore hips at night and she thinks i probably won't go to 40 wks so is bringing my homebirth kit out early just in case.

PinkTulips · 29/09/2008 18:21

me too please.

horrid bad back, 2 toddlers to cope with, horrible exhaustion and lack of motivation to do anything, having a crap month for money which is driving me mad, heartburn, rib flare, baby seems to be wedged in my bladder and keeps kicking me in the back passage, physio told me my ass is 'soft and untoned' and gave me a nasty support belt to wear

MrsMattie · 30/09/2008 18:20

Hi fellow moaners. I have been a right whingebag all day.
Personally, I think there should be a law against heavily pregnant women having to look after toddlers all day. It was easier being in full time work, I tell you!

Also, have only just recovered from having to go into the chemist and ask the lady behind the counter for something to treat my haemorrhoids with a queue full of people behind me. And then having to pretend I didn't notice the whole queue flinch / wince / grimace / snigger when the lady said brightly 'yes, we have some ANUSOL you can try', before somehow getting the word 'anus' into a one-sided 20 second conversation about five times.

Grrrrr.

Still being sick about once a week at 30 weeks, backache, pain in coccyx when I sleep on my back, can't sleep, and what is up with the veins on my boobs? They were big and blue last time but this time it looks like they've been drawn on with felt tip pens. I wear the same jeans every day and I've never felt so ugly in my life. Toddler leaping all over me all day, particularly good at leaning entire weight through elbows into my boobs, and I can barely carry her up the stairs now. Walk like a pensioner. Got SPD around this time last time, so that may be the next treat in store. Feels good to moan!

MrsMattie · 04/10/2008 23:37

How are the moaners this (freezing cold) weekend?

I have had a head cold for a few days and have two hideous coldsores inside my nostrils, so plenty more reason to whinge

p.s. ditto the blue veiny knockers and pensioner walk!@EBenes - don't you just feel so attracrtive?

Hi there, what a great idea for a thread it's not often I get an invite to moan shamelessley, i'd be a fool to turn it down!

Here goes: I feel fat and ugly, I only have one pair of trousers that barely fit and one skirt, I think my partner also finds me fat and ugly as he won't make love to me and doesn't seem to want to spend any time with me; although i'm not even constipated i've still managed to develop heamorrhoids; I worry constantly about everything especially whether my little girl is ok, I hate my job and i'm cold! Well, you did invite me to moan!

MrsMattie · 06/10/2008 15:29

Hi Ginni, and welcome (although it seems like the main shameless moaner here is me, but anyway!).

Have had the morning from hell, involving badly behaved 3 yr old DS tantrumming at softplay and me - with heavy cold and enormous bump - trying to hold it together. If I could click my fingers and be somebody else today, I would, believe me

hey guys can i join? Seems to be a few particular things that we all have in common (apart from being pg etc...)

im 33 weeks and my belly is absolutely huge. I have awful SPD and have something wrong with the joint in my pelvis on the right hand side. In agony in night in particular and generally getting around! I also have a very active 2 yr old who has just decided now is the time for him to start dropping his nap. Not because he isnt tired, just because. Joy, my one hour that kept me sane each day has disappeared into trying to distract him from having meltdowns over minor things due to being over tired!

If anyone finds a solution to piles let me know! Also im having awful headaches which is 'just pg hormones' so they getting me down and generally very very tired!

thoughts and pity to you all!!

EBenes · 06/10/2008 22:27

This is no place to boast, but my 2 yr old is still - TOUCH WOOD! - sleeping for nearly 2 hours in the afternoon. I am so sorry for you, mad4, if I didn't get that 2 hours - and sometimes, like if she sleeps in the buggy, I don't - I would be losing it. Can you beg him to pretend to sleep? Give him a tiny baby Nintendo DS?

mad4mybaby · 07/10/2008 10:20

seriously hes such a monkey. ill take him up there and do the usual and he just stands there shouting 'i dont want to go to sleep. im not tired' so it isnt worth the agro! He slept both sat and sun when dh was here. I think its just because he isnt using up any energy as i dont have the energy to take him places he can let off steam. He does go in the garden but he doesnt run around out there!

EBenes · 07/10/2008 10:33

i I think its just because he isnt using up any energy as i dont have the energy to take him places he can let off steam.

This is my biggest problem! I used to take her to the park every day in the summer and she'd run around till she was knackered. We don't even have a garden, just a back yard, and I'm finding it really hard keeping her interested/wearing her out, as even a walk into town is too much for me these days.

mad4mybaby · 07/10/2008 12:41

i do sympathise! I dont really have anyone that will take him off my hands either as everyone works and DH is away mon-fri for work and at the w/e he just wants to crash! Going to take him out in car in a min to get him to sleep. I know he still needs the sleep coz if we do happen to be out in car after lunch he will fall asleep! But at same time hate doing it but needs must!

HateHoovering · 07/10/2008 13:16

Please please can I join in? Also share some symptoms. I'm 36+1 weeks and have an active 14 M DS. The right side of my pelvis/back aches as it did last time but now I'm getting pain around the front too like someone has been kicking me in the fanjo. Lugging my DS around certainly makes things worse and by the end of the day I can hardly roll over in bed. I'm also meant to be working full time but childcare has gone up the spout. Feeling stressed about work deadlines but by the end of the day looking after the baby, I can't face doing paperwork. Oh and the roids have just made an appearance, have been constipated and am on iron. I also have veiny boobs and look like a hippo. Strangely DH is still up for it, maybe he has a thing for hippos? ,OP aren't they going to do anything about the Bartholin's? Must be bloody horrible and I imagine it could make a VBAC even more painful.

artichokes · 07/10/2008 13:27

Ooohhh this is the thread for me.

31 weeks:

  • Soooo tired but have insomnia and take about an hour to get back to sleep after every pee (and there are many of them)
  • Heartburn and shortness of breath from baby sitting high up
  • Pain in hips and undercarriage which is made worse by sitting (and I work long hours and am too tired to do anything but sit once I get home)
  • Pelvic floor not the trusted friend it always has been

And to top it all off my toddler won't sleep.

(A small consolation for MrsMattie - I got my first, and much dreaded, haemorrhoid two weeks ago but it seems to have gone (touch wood, cross fingers etc etc etc).

EBenes · 07/10/2008 13:37

Also, I am sick of going to the loo 50 times a day/night to produce a cumulative daily total of one egg-cup full of wee.

artichokes · 07/10/2008 13:42

Snap Ebenes
I can be busting to go, scared I won't make it to the loo, then I wee and four drops emerge.
Just great.

heron22 · 07/10/2008 14:15

hi all, can i join pls?
i am 24 weeks and these are my woes:

  • peeing when i cough/laugh
  • peeing every 15 mins (a tiny tiny amount!)
  • waking up at 2am!
  • sore lower back
  • scared of getting SPD again
  • muscle aches
  • tiredness!
  • heartburn

thankfully piles has not plagued me, yet!

other than the above, i am perfectly fine!
i do not feel that i can complain to my friends, cos i know i am lucky to be pregnant!

artichokes · 08/10/2008 13:55

Come on everyone. Where are you? There is not nearly enough moaning going on.

Today I feel sick. And I keep getting hot flushes. I have just come out of a three hour meeting which I had to leave 4 times (two pees, one intense moment of nausea, one hot flush so bad I had to go and splash water on my face and gasp cold air out the window).

Maybe I am ill, or maybe it is yet another of those crappy pregnancy days when you jsut feel shite for no obvious reason.

Grrrr

babybear77 · 08/10/2008 16:16

i'm flamin knackered! home early today but have gone into food stock-piling mode so have made v large pot of soup baked bread and was trying to prepare a tutorial for tomorrow. quite frankly...can't be arsed. think i'll just wing it.
my feet feel like they might explode and i think i've left it too late to take my rings off.
maybe i'll take a nap...

babybear77 · 08/10/2008 16:18

i also feel like i'm extremely disorganised...anyone else feel like that?

MorrisZapp · 08/10/2008 16:46

Omg - sympathies to all! I'm not pg but have always had tiny bladder/ can't get back to sleep issues.

I know this may be an absolutely weird/ disgusting suggestion but...

My dp is away at the moment and I'm nervous in the house alone. I'm ok at getting to sleep but inevitably need to get up in the dead of night for the three drops of pee that urgently need to get out. Bathroom is at other end of house.

While he's away I have taken to sleeping with an old small tupperware box beside my bed which I....

can hardly say it....[blush}

stand up and pee into and leave until morning to deal with.

Is this mad/ horrible/ wrong?

mad4mybaby · 08/10/2008 17:05

i know what you mean about being in the house on your own as my dh works away mon-fri every week and has done for years.

Maybe you have a wee infection or something? Perhaps you should go see you gp just to check? Could also be nerves? I get like that when im nervous (need to pee all the time but nothing there)

To the rest of you, OMG i cant get over how tired i am. If i sit down for 2 seconds i find myself nodding off! So lethargic! My 2 yrs old ds keeps jumping up on me going 'wakey wakey mummy' so no chance of a snooze anyway!
