February 2027 Rainbow Babies 🌈 Pregnancy After Loss

anniehall12 · 02/06/2026 15:30

Hi everyone 🤍

I wanted to start a little thread for anyone due around February 2027 with a rainbow baby 🍼

I've recently found out I'm pregnant again, very early, so everything feels quite delicate at the moment. I'm happy, but also incredibly anxious after experiencing a missed miscarriage and a miscarriage, both this year, and I know there may be other women feeling exactly the same way.

I thought it might be nice to have a space where we can chat, share updates, celebrate the little milestones, and support each other through the worries that often come with pregnancy after loss.

Sending love to anyone on this journey 🤍🌈

@Chocolatecustardcreamsrule wow!!! Amazing news!!! I'm still in shock about having twins myself tbh! How do you feel?

My anxiety is too much for me too relax so I've booked a private scan for this afternoon, even though I shouldn't really...should have just waited until my NHS scan next week.....urgh.

I've had a scan this morning and the baby has grown well everything looks good! So so happy!

Chocolatecustardcreamsrule · 23/06/2026 12:45

@anniehall12 its so surreal isn’t it! I don’t blame you for getting more scans I want to know everything and learn all the terminology! I’m hoping the next scan will tell me more about if they are sharing the same sack as that makes things more risky. Do you know if yours are maternal or fraternal?

@MocktailMe Amazing news!! I bet you feel so relieved.

Elephantscantjump · 23/06/2026 13:16

Oh wow, twins is exciting!! Do they run in either of your families? @anniehall12 @Chocolatecustardcreamsrule .

Really glad your scan was positive @MocktailMe .

I went in to epau for my bloods this morning, if hcg is over 1500 they will scan to confirm all in right place etc. It's all so overwhelming isn't it.

Fullofconfusion · 23/06/2026 13:22

@SlightlyTerrifiedButPolitehow are you feeling today? Has the spotting stopped?

I’m feeling the anxiety spiralling and I’m trying so hard not to let it. Another week until my first scan and it’s been a long time since I’ve had a good news scan with plenty of bad news scans since so it’s definitely anxiety inducing

anniehall12 · 23/06/2026 15:16

@Elephantscantjump no twins in my family! It's such a lovely surprise 😍 I'm hoping your HCG is high enough so you can get your scan 🤍

@Chocolatecustardcreamsrule I am having dichorionic diamniotic twins! So they have their own sac and own placenta. They will most likely be fraternal but I believe after birth is when they could be found to be identical. Scan was very positive, saw my 2 little beans. Both measuring 6w5d 🌈🌈

@MocktailMe so happy for you, what wonderful news!

@SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite I get what you mean about statistics, my best friend uses statistics frequently for a variety of things and it really helps her rationalise things. Try not to worry too much if it's just pink on wiping xx

Hi everyone. So we have double twins in our group - congratulations. Best wishes and solidarity to all. I’m 8w 4d and I think I’ve turned a slight cover with the nausea - I’m starting to feel hungry again. Still very restricted in what I can stomach but still it’s a step forward. The 12 week scan feels a million miles away. My mind just wants to keep thinking something is wrong.

Hey @Lillylight , Thank you! I'm so glad to hear the nausea is easing up for you. I really hope this will be the same for me! Fingers crossed. I have upped the dosage of Xonvea again, so let's see what happens. All I can think about is food, I so badly want to eat!

xx

Thank you. Also top tip - children’s toothbrush and toothpaste has helped me the brushing and gagging situation. It’s not great but it’s something. I’m on one Xonvea a day before bed. I think it builds up in your system? I have two on Friday and Saturday night to spice things up for the weekend!!!! You have to laugh!

Chocolatecustardcreamsrule · 23/06/2026 18:39

@Elephantscantjump thank you! Yes twins run in my side of the family, I should have been a twin, so it was always something we considered might happen! My fingers are crossed for your HCG so you can have your scan!

@anniehall12 Thats amazing! Own sac and placenta must be such a relief, plus the surprise of it being either way is just an added bonus! Mine are next to each other in the shape of a little heart.

Elena88 · 23/06/2026 19:13

@Rainbowmum32 same here, we saw a heartbeat measuring 4 days behind. I am confident on my dates. they did not seem concerned at all but my head is spinning .. also had missed miscarriage in the past. they have booked me in for another appointment in couple of weeks time to help with anxiety ..

Elephantscantjump · 23/06/2026 19:38

@Chocolatecustardcreamsrule oh lovely 💖 ,

@anniehall12 an extra special surprise then! Amazing 😍

Thanks both, 🤞🏻 I feel so weirdly disconnected from it all currently. I took 17 tests and still have barely said the words "I'm pregnant" . Am feeling pretty ropy though so can't deny that 😂 .

@Elena88 last time the midwife was so reassuring about measuring a bit behind - explained that it sometimes takes a bit longer for cell division initially etc so even if your dates are bang on things may have been a bit slower 💖 glad you're booked in again

cobalt123 · 24/06/2026 15:40

Congratulations on the lovely scan news to those who have had it already. Also the twin news, so cool! I should be 7+1 now and still a week away from my first scan. I decided to go for a later one this time to hopefully have a more definitive answer but the waiting in uncertainty is really starting to weigh on me. Just lacking any positivity and feeling quite low about it all. I’m dreading bad news….

Elephantscantjump · 24/06/2026 16:35

@cobalt123 I totally understand how you feel and the going for a later scan. It feels like none of the decisions are quite right 🫂 .

My hcg came back at 2607 so well over the 1500. They've got me booked in for a scan monday. I should be 6+5 but feeling I'll be a bit earlier so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 they will see something.

Hope everyone is doing okay in the heat

Fullofconfusion · 25/06/2026 10:01

Hope everyone is managing ok in this heat!

I still have 5 days to my scan and I’m overthinking everything. my last miscarriages have all been missed miscarriages so I think this builds the anxiety around a scan for me.

I should be 6+1 when I’m scanned so hoping to see a heartbeat although aware that I might not. I’ve never had a scan this early before, those who have, what did you see at this stage?

Currently super tired and wow are my boobs sore!

@Elephantscantjumpand @cobalt123sounds like we all have scans around the same time. Fingers crossed for us all

Elephantscantjump · 25/06/2026 11:08

@Fullofconfusion fingers crossed for you. Last time when I had an early scan (probably around 5+5 in the end) they were able to see sac and fetal pole, they got me to come back in and then saw heartbeat. So hopefully you'll be able to see something reassuring 💖

The boob/nipple soreness is really something else 😂 , I'm pretty nauseous and smells are really bothering me this time too.

The anxiety is super rough, I haven't referred to midwives yet as my brain is convinced it'll be ectopic or something.

My partner is feeling pretty OK at this stage as we got through it before without issue but knows he'll really struggle around the 14-18 week mark as that's when we lost our boy. I'm hoping he'll reach out for some support but will keep a close eye on him.

Fullofconfusion · 25/06/2026 13:14

@Elephantscantjumpthank you. That’s helpful to know. I’ve also not referred to the midwives yet. This scan is through the EPAU as I contacted them for some progesterone and they offer an early scan too. I have waves of nausea. My main problem is my boobs 🙈 if something brushes my nipple it’s like 1000 paper cuts!

My partner is also trying to remain calmer than me and more optimistic. He said one of us has to be!

Hey everyone 👋 sorry I haven't been posting much. Hypermesis gravidarum is totally kicking my ass! I'm on 3 different medications now and symptoms are starting to ease up...
I am bloody exhausted!
How is everyone doing? How many weeks are we now? Symptoms? Feelings?
🌈🤍

I’m so sorry about the HG. Fingers crossed the medication keeps improving things 🤞

I will be 7 weeks on Thursday, which is when my first scan is. 😅. If all is ok I’m going to book a short trip somewhere and will book a scan for another 2 ish weeks later.

fatigue has hit me hard. Sleeping longer at night and needing an 1h30-2h nap around 5pm! I had a panic earlier as I had a minor car crash and went into the back of someone. The IVF clinic weren’t worried as the airbags didn’t deploy but omg was it pregnancy brain 🤦🏻‍♀️

Elephantscantjump · Yesterday 19:22

Hope the new mix of meds does a good job for you!

First scan monday, I'm terrified still, so anxious. I think if I get confirmation that things are looking okay Monday I'll have to refer to midwives and look into perinatal mental health.

Sore boobs, nausea, fatigue and increased smell here. But they do fluctuate which is another anxiety trigger 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

MrsC2018 · Yesterday 21:02

anyone with HG has my utmost sympathy, I feel sick some of the day and it’s enough 🙈

I’m 8+3 by LMP or 8 weeks by the last scan, feeling tired, bloated, hungry and of course anxious.

I’ve actually booked a private scan for Monday, which I ruminated over for days. On the one hand, I hate scans and feel so anxious it’s painful. But on the other hand, I’m going on holiday in 4 weeks so if I’m to have time to have a miscarriage and be sorted then I need to know. I have lots of symptoms, so I swing between feeling slightly reassured that things are ok and detached and numb and just wanting to miscarry already so I don’t ruin this holiday for everyone. it’s exhausting, but at least I can keep my food down I guess!

SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite · Yesterday 21:46

I’m sorry @MrsC2018. I’m also anxious as we’re going away on 1 August (11 weeks) and I am trying to work from that date booking scans so if it’s bad news I can be sorted before. How long before your trip have you booked your last scan? Xx

MrsC2018 · Yesterday 22:20

@SlightlyTerrifiedButPolitei go 30th July at 13 weeks. I don’t have my 12 week scan date yet, but hoping it will be before as I’ll be 15 weeks when we fly back. My miscarriages were later than most at 16 weeks, so I’m grateful I’ll be home for that week of pregnancy as it’s pretty horrendous just sitting through the worry through weeks really. Not sure how I’ll play scans closer to flying, I just tend to take it one scan at a time. What will you do?

Elephantscantjump · Yesterday 23:08

@MrsC2018 I hope your scan date comes through quickly for you. We've booked a holiday in September and it'll be around the same time we were on holiday just before we found out about our loss at 17+3 so its nerve-wracking already.

Totally understand wanting the reassurance (as much as you can get in the moment) so you can plan xx
