February 2027 Rainbow Babies 🌈 Pregnancy After Loss

anniehall12 · 02/06/2026 15:30

Hi everyone 🤍

I wanted to start a little thread for anyone due around February 2027 with a rainbow baby 🍼

I've recently found out I'm pregnant again, very early, so everything feels quite delicate at the moment. I'm happy, but also incredibly anxious after experiencing a missed miscarriage and a miscarriage, both this year, and I know there may be other women feeling exactly the same way.

I thought it might be nice to have a space where we can chat, share updates, celebrate the little milestones, and support each other through the worries that often come with pregnancy after loss.

Sending love to anyone on this journey 🤍🌈

Hmm it's not looking good for me, ladies. Had some bleeding today after fairly consistent dull cramps all day. I'm certainly not expecting this to have a good outcome. This is basically how all my other losses have started.

I’m so sorry. Shit situation. I’ve been there and there aren’t any words. Be kind to yourself. It’s not over until it’s over. You never know!

anniehall12 · 15/06/2026 07:31

@Taysonic how are you getting on? I hope it's still positive news for you🤍

How is everyone getting on? Weeks & symptoms? Thoughts and feelings? 🌈🤍

Hey. I am 6+1 today. I have bouts of feeling/being sick but mainly when I'm at work. The easier I take it the less that happens. My breasts are still sore and I am tired but nothing crazy.

I had a early scan yesterday at 6+0. The best news is that it's absolutely not ectopic (had 2 prior) is safely in my uterus, we saw the gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole and a tiny flickering heartbeat.

I've never had a positive scan in my life before and it was the very same room where I've had such horrible news in the past so it was so healing to finally be in there and see everything going right.

I've been referred to the hospitals Rainbow Clinic so I can continue to have extra scans and appointments. My next scan is 7+2. Praying everything stays okay.

Taysonic · 15/06/2026 08:55

Don't think it's looking good for me. Urine test looked a little bit lighter today, and weeks indicator has gone from being 3+ on Friday, to 2-3 weeks this morning.

I just feel like such an idiot for even daring to hope this time would be different.

Chocolatecustardcreamsrule · 15/06/2026 09:03

@MocktailMe such lovely news! Great that you can keep getting scans too.

Im dreading my scan, still a week to go. I’m scared of having the silence again.

@Taysonic I’m so sorry.

MocktailMe · 15/06/2026 09:08

I get it, I was dreading mine too and I'm still scared for the next one. The time between the wand going in and them speaking does feel like eternity. I had to ask her to repeat everything about four times because I couldn't believe the words she was saying when she finally spoke.

@Taysonic I'm so sorry, I've been there so many times and I know how heartbreaking and unfair this is. Please look after yourself. Remember everything feels worse under the influence of the hormones too. I really am so sorry.

Hey ladies,

Lots of exciting things happening in this thread and wishing you all the best 💕

Hope it’s okay to jump in, it's pretty relevant and hopefully will benefit you all.

I work at Mumsnet we're testing a new service called Birth Clubs at the moment: a small group of parents at the same stage in pregnancy or up to 1 year old with professional support on hand when needed to answer any of your questions.

If you'd like to help test it you'll get the following for 6 weeks:

  • Free access to a nurse or midwife who you can message any time
  • Free content relevant to your stage, designed by our health team
  • Free drop in live classes on feeding, sleeping, baby first aid and more!

Might be up your street, no pressure at all. Sign up on this LINK if you're interested. We only have 100 spots.

Hope to chat to some of you there.

Jesse x

Hi everyone! My nausea is easing slightly but feel tired and weak. Still don’t know how to brush my teeth without wanting gagging. Still battling with which foods I can actually stomach. I wish we could have a scan every week so I can worrying that every symptom or absence or symptoms is concern!

Anyone here pregnant before a period? (Had miscarriage bleeding and no period, ovulated then become pregnant)

Dating is abit mixed up but I'm going by my ovulation date which would place me at 27 days past ovulation. How many weeks pregnant is that?

Also in your experiences, what was the earliest you got a heartbeat?

Not this time but I have been previously. I think this is why they like you to wait a cycle (so they can date easily) but not because it actually poses a risk.

I just saw the heartbeat two days ago at exactly 6+0 (IVF so I know the dates for certain). They did say we might not see it and it could still be okay at 6 weeks, but they did hope we would, and we did.

Id say you're 5+6 at 27dpo.

Hi everyone, I don’t think it’s good news for me either. I just have this feeling my scan tomorrow isn’t going to go well. All my cramping has stopped, my boobs are still sore but then I’m on cyclogest so I’ve put it down to that. I don’t feel any different to when I’m not pregnant. I’ll update tomorrow after the scan at the EPU but I’m absolutely dreading it

Yeah it makes sense to have a period before trying again to avoid this!

That's so lovely you've seen the heartbeat. Hopefully that's reassuring for you xx

Oh gosh it's so hard! I sympathise with you deeply. It's gut wrenching isn't it?

Even with having symptoms I'm still so nervous. When I had my MMC I had terrible HG that's what originally make me get hospitalised and then a scan revealed the MMC!

Personally for me I think the anxiety will be there right up until I get frequent movements which is soooo far off xx

Wishing you all the best for tomorrow xx

Surprisingly, it’s not actually bad news for me today. Measuring 6+4 with a heartbeat.

Sac has grown from 5+4 last week and they tell me the heartbeat is regular and everything is as they would expect for a viable pregnancy. Genuinely shocked, got a little photo and now waiting for the doctor to prescribe clexane and progesterone and hoping they agree for another scan for a couple of weeks as I don’t think I actually believe this is going to continue to develop.

grateful for today though, just can’t quite believe it ❤️

Thanks @anniehall12 they did not 🤣 they’ve discharged me from EPU now and told me to book in with the midwives. I wasn’t planning to yet, but apparently I need to so that they see me in time but it always feels premature. Has anyone else self referred yet?

im pretty sure I’ll pay for NIPT testing if I don’t have any bleeding, does anyone else plan to have this test around their dating scan?

Oh that sucks. Care for women who have experienced miscarriages is really shit I must admit. Especially when you compare it to other countries in Europe.

Yes I have booked in with the midwife and have appointment at 8 weeks. Definitely do it on time. My midwife has already arranged my 12 weeks scan :)

I had nipt in previous pregnancy but won't do it again as found it a bit pointless. Xx

I have referred to the midwife - my appointment is 9th July which isn't actually that far away now!

I'm so pleased you had a good scan. I completely understand the disbelief. I truly could not believe I was seeing a heartbeat and a baby. My next scan is on Tuesday and I'm already full of fear.

I'm not planning to do any of the blood test screening at all for the pregnancy although I'll have my scans as usual. I know the blood tests aren't 100% and I don't want the anxiety.

Amazing news on the twins!!!!!!

Lillylight · 18/06/2026 18:13

The nausea and tiredness are intense. So much for a healthy diet. I can hardly stomach anything. Haven’t even looked a vegetable in weeks.

DaisyCx · 18/06/2026 19:57

Hi all, I’m glad I found this thread. I had a blighted ovum in February with my first pregnancy and now 6+5 based on ovulation dates. I’m so anxious, have got an early scan next week (7+3) but just have constant worry that the same thing will happen again and holding back from any excitement.

Thinking of everyone else who has posted and hoping for positive outcomes x
