Full term tomorrow! Due 12th June, anyone want to wait for their babies with me?

I’m full term tomorrow with my fourth baby, planning a homebirth. Anyone want to wait for their babies with me? My due date is 12th June. I always found myself in TWW threads when TTC and this feels similar

I’ve finished work and am waiting for the nice weather this weekend to hand-wash and dry all the big items from the loft (car seat, next to me, etc.)

I have a high energy 2 year old who is still breastfed so I have been getting some tightenings but I think it’s just when I’ve been feeding her. She is at nursery today and the bigger two at school so I’m washing some clothes and preparing the house.

It’s so nice to have some time to myself and I’m feeling really quite patient… for now…

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've just been to the local newsagents and the lady working there asked me why am I still pregnant 😂 I also forgot pretty much everything I went in for and don't want to go back now haha

The lady who delivers our post is asking the same thing of me! Haha!
Baby brain is a real ailment. Is there another shop nearby?

I have now managed to reset another room in the house after the decorating over the bank holiday weekend. Slowly but surely the house is getting back to right. Do you think baby is holding off until I get things sorted.

I'm sure there's something in this. The mind affects the body so much.

Book something special for yourself... hair, facial, nails etc. Plan a nice day out... BOOM, baby will come to ruin your plans 😂

I sent my stepson back out to the shop with a liat instead haha

I’ve just had a pregnancy back massage (my first one ever) and it was lovely. I’ve booked another one for Tuesday — something to look forward to if baby hasn’t made an appearance ☺️

@IVFbabyanyday I think there is some truth in the mind/body connection. Everyday that I get another thing sorted out feels like I am getting closer to being ready for her. I’m collecting her pram on Friday and I have 2 days and 2 more rooms to sort. Perhaps Saturday is the day!

@BudgetBuster i’ve avoided making plans for the last 3 weeks just in case! I wanted to see the Devil Wears Prada film so maybe I just book it to tempt fate! Or maybe a massage like @OneMoreCoffee3!

Devil wears prada is very good! Definitely go see it.

I have a hair appointment next Wednesday and my parents will.go home (4 hrs away) on Momday so no doubt I'll have the baby Tuesday 😂

Well, this will be very outing so I will soon have to change my username!! But our girl is here. I sulked all day yesterday with absolutely nothing to report, nothing overnight not even a single trace of any spotting.
9:30..ish, a kind of contraction, but not too sore. 9:35, another one and a bit more sore… thought I’d start timing them at 9:52 (according to the app!). By 10:10 I had called the birth centre to say I want to come in please. By 10:30, I’m pushing her out in the bloody hospital lift into my husbands hands!!!!!!!
My other three have been quick, but this was something else. Thankfully we are both ok, and actually once my waters had popped (as we abandoned the car in the road outside the entrance with the hazards on) I had not one bit of pain, just pressure and my body knew exactly what to do. She is 7lb and feeding perfectly.

We have to stay in 24 hours due to my gestational diabetes - but thankfully as I had called the birth centre and not triage, we are in the very lovely post natal room and not on the ward!

I will check in on the thread over the next few days, but please be assured of my prayers for each one of you 🤍

Ahhh congratulations!!! Thank god you made the hospital in time. I'm so happy you had a speedy and quick birth and everything went well, a little excitement for your husband in the lift!

Wishing you all well 🙏

@dinosaurghostcat congratulations! Wishing you and your family all the best. I can only hope that my labour is as quick and easy as yours. Rest up now Mama and enjoy your precious baby girl!

sparklerr · 04/06/2026 08:43

Congratulations @dinosaurghostcat !! Lovely news. Now you can enjoy your newborn bubble!
I have been reading all the updates over the last few days and feeling for the ladies who are waiting and fed up. I still have 10 days to go until EDD so not quite there yet, but midwife said the head is now engaged which is great. Been getting lots of small cramps and twinges and pressure. Has anyone booked any reflexology or acupuncture?

OneMoreCoffee3 · 04/06/2026 09:03

I had a few more uncomfortable tightenings after my massage yesterday (she used some pressure points) and things felt different. I did wonder whether it was going to develop but it all reduced in intensity and I had a low-level niggly night. I feel quite relaxed and not too impatient today, long may it continue! I think if my body was ready it would have pushed me into labour

38+6 today, this is the furthest I’ve ever got into a pregnancy

OP posts:
Pregnantera · 04/06/2026 09:23

@OneMoreCoffee3 it will feel a really long pregnancy to you at this point. Maybe the niggles were just massage related, who knows. Think baby will come when you least expect it to.

I’m now 40 + 3, absolutely no signs of anything happening. Another rainy day here so will do some meal prepping and stock up the freezer. Got to keep myself busy whilst I wait!

When I was pregnant 2years ago, my beautician told me to text her anytime I wanted a pregnancy massage towards the end. She had like a 90% rate of people going into labour within 24 hours of the massage 😂 Sadly she is also near 9 months pregnant now so can't help me out haha

What a dramatic birth story! Glad all went well x

Notmycuppatea · 05/06/2026 08:22

I had a terrible night again. I was being sick till about midnight and had lower back pain. Managed to sleep after that but woke up exhausted. Unsure if it was the brownie Sundae I made which was so nice but sickly towards the end or my body preparing against as I'm now 39+2. Yesterday I tried everything over the 24 hours, expressing colustrum, sex, curb walking, went on 2 long walks, bounced on ball and then vomitted in the night. But I had the same last Saturday and it mounted to nothing!

Hope everyone else is ok.

OneMoreCoffee3 · 05/06/2026 08:58

I thought last night could be it. I was woken with toghtenings that were pretty regular and starting to go to my back. I got up to clean the kitchen and it all went off again. I’m like a zombie today, so many sleepless nights have really taken their toll. So pleased it’s a nursery day.

@Notmycuppatea i hope you’re able to recover today

OP posts:
Pregnantera · 05/06/2026 09:02

@Notmycuppatea Poor you! I hate being sick! I heard pregnancy sickness can come back at the end so perhaps see how you get on today with it. Hope you feel a better!

I am now 40 + 4 days and still no baby! Yesterday I felt a bit downhearted about it all, it’s now 3 weeks longer I could have worked and have now lost with my baby when she gets here. I’ve tried everything minus the dates as I don’t like them but honestly believe nothing I do will speed up the process.
I am fighting fit for now at least -
the back pain has settled so I think I had just over done things a little. My Dad is taking me to pick up the pram today so that’s exciting.

Pregnantera · 05/06/2026 09:03

@OneMoreCoffee3 your body is just teasing you at this point!

Notmycuppatea · 05/06/2026 09:07

@OneMoreCoffee3ah so frustrating isn't it. It's like they're teasing us I am like a zombie today too. Think I'm just gonna stay in my pjs and do nothing.

@Pregnanterasee I view your situation differently - I was always advised that take a few weeks off before baby is due as you need to rest yourself and get stuff sorted which it seems like you are doing. But if you was at work and baby came next day, you may have felt overwhelmed and stressed house wasn't done, no time to sort stuff. See it as a good rest. You give me anxiety getting the pram on and overdue date though! Lol

Pregnantera · 05/06/2026 09:18

@Notmycuppatea that was my thoughts originally - I wanted to leave work organised rather than go home one evening and go into labour and leave a mess behind. I guess resting isn’t my strong point but I am trying!
The pram technically is not my fault, it was ordered in February and was supposed to be here mid May and I’ve been ringing several times a week trying to get them to sort it out, finally it is here. My parents think my body has held on to this baby until I got the pram home.

That happened to friend she ordered her car seat but it was missing a part or something she ended up going into labour and had to send her boyfriend to collect a different seat so I'm glad yours has been sorted. I believe that too! Fingers crossed for you xx
