Just checking in.

does anyone else feel they have absolutely no energy? It’s really debilitating right now alongside nausea. I don’t even have the energy to shower right now it’s that bad. I’m just exhausted all the time.

Same.. I’m completely wiped out. Been on the sofa all day . My 4 year old has joined me all day, feel so guilty but also amazed she seems so happy to chill with me. The worst part is not knowing when this ends. Weeks more of this?! 😭

SunshineRose12 · 16/05/2026 18:45

I agree on the tiredness. I’m sleeping for almost 10 hours a night and still often needing an afternoon nap.

Also topped off with nausea made worse by driving. Just got home, pulled into the drive, opened the door and threw up 🤦‍♀️. Least it was our own lawn my husband had to hose down 😂

SunshineRose12 · 16/05/2026 18:52

@frolickinglamb a lot of people have said to me that I should feel better by 12 weeks, so fingers crossed it’s not too much longer.

Ncl31 · 16/05/2026 20:18

Ladies please help me not freak out.
for the last few hours I’ve seemed to have a “heavy/cramping/stretching” feeling deep in my pelvis, where my uterus is I guess.

is this likely to be just the standard stretching? It’s not constantly and very mild

Aprahel87 · 16/05/2026 20:21

@Ncl31 I have been having that cramping stretching feeling throughout the pregnancy, and everything seems fine so far. I think it is just your body preparing

I really hope so, I’ve never gotten this far in a pregnancy and everything be okay. So I guess I’m just worried as I’ve lot experienced it before.
my breasts re pretty tender tonight and I’ve had to have a nap today so I’m still feeling pregnant.
Its more just feeling this unknown feeling

hollyhocks2 · 16/05/2026 22:31

Sounds normal @Ncl31 tell that brain to stand down - all is ok ❤️

Omg @rach971 noo, if they were postponing again that’d be too outrageous! You’ll know soon enough.

I’ve booked some pregnancy yoga classes from 14 weeks, feels a bit bold but if all goes wrong before that then cancelling yoga will be the least of my worries.

I’ve had to be assertive this week and prompt them to recheck my thyroid since they increased my levothyroxine dose. Bit scary how things can get missed.

Ncl31 · 17/05/2026 07:22

@hollyhocks2 thank you, I slept okay and feel better this morning. Apart from sciatica on my left side. It’s gradually gotten worse these last few days.
a girl I went to school with is doing pregnancy and mama&baby yoga classes. I contacted her and she said as long as everything is fine at my 12 week scan I can start then. I’m going to give that a go and see if it helps my back, hopefully it will. I haven’t booked yet but will, typically we’re busy the Sunday after our scan so I’ll go at 13 weeks

SunshineRose12 · 17/05/2026 08:45

Just another one to say don’t worry @Ncl31! I’ve had cramping throughout my pregnancy. I was told it’s the uterus growing / stretching and not to worry about it. If it’s happening in isolation (i.e no bleeding) then it’s good news!

SunshineRose12 · 17/05/2026 08:47

I’ve also just put my name down for prenatal aqua yoga. I’m not really getting to any of my gym classes as the nausea is so bad, so thought this could be a good alternative.

Cheesecake93 · 17/05/2026 09:28

Has anyone got any tips on how to keep anxiety
at bay for the first scan? I am 9 weeks (I think) and have a private scan today at 2pm but I’m so so nervous. We have been trying for a long time and thought we needed IVF so it feels like a huge deal.

NewAgeDawning · 17/05/2026 10:33

@Cheesecake93no tips but wanted to wish you luck today xx

Ncl31 · 17/05/2026 10:59

@Cheesecake93 i know how you feel, i get exactly the same ahead of any scan. I just kept telling myself that I’d rather know if something was wrong then we could deal with it. Maybe a little morbid but it’s the only way I can see a positive out of it. We have another scan at EPU on Thursday, then just our 12 week scan the week after.
We too were about to embark on IVF, we had our initial appointment booked for 8th June. Im officially 11 weeks today according to LMP, but I predict I’m more like 10+5.

rach971 · 17/05/2026 12:52

@Cheesecake93 Good luck! Wish I had advice but I end up a nervous wreck before mine, shaking and heart pounding and everything 🙈

seasonOfChange · 17/05/2026 13:13

Checking in on the new thread. Good luck on the scan @Cheesecake93 !!

I've had my booking appointment on friday and as soon as I left started spotting on and off again alongside my usual on off cramps. I've finally managed to get EPU to phone me back and they've arranged for a scan tomorrow to see if everything is ok. However instead of it being reassuring I've become even more anxious. My partner might not be able to come with me either due to work commitments. I am an anxious mess

JH20000 · 17/05/2026 14:16

SausageRoll90 · 16/05/2026 16:28

Yes @JH20000 you sound like me. I've got zero energy, completely zapped of all mojo. I can't remember it being this bad last time BUT I didn't have a busy toddler to look after last time so I probably was, I just lay down more.

Yeah I have no get up and go at the moment. 2pm and I’m still rotting in bed! I can just about get up and do basic household chores but it’s taking a lot of energy. How I’m holding up at work I really don’t know.

PhoenixSTL · 17/05/2026 15:33

@seasonOfChange hope you manage to keep yourself distracted today, until your scan. Crossing fingers that everything is fine

@Cheesecake93 wishing you all the best at your scan today

I'm planning to start pregnancy yoga as soon as we have our scan and know everything is okay. I waited until about 30 weeks with my son, and really wished I'd started it sooner.

I'm 11+2 today, and can't shake the thought that something has gone wrong. Going on holiday on Friday, so hoping that will be a good distraction until my scan.

howluckyarewe · 17/05/2026 15:37

@JH20000 9 weeks tomorrow & my energy is non existent. Extremely grateful for my DH right now because he's single handedly doing the cooking, cleaning, bath & bedtimes and drop-offs. I'm a decorative whingy mess right now, barely holding it together at work.

@seasonOfChange thinking of you as you wait for the appointment. I hope all goes well for you. ❤️

I am 10 weeks pregnant, and stopped having morning sickness yesterday. My boobs also stopped hurting so much.

That’s exactly what happened to me in my first pregnancy with my daughter! I was worried but this is around the time the placenta takes over so it’s super normal. I’m hoping the same happens this pregnancy because I’m losing my mind with the 24/7 nausea and exhaustion 😭😭

Cheesecake93 · 17/05/2026 17:50

Thank you for all your kind messages. I had the scan and everything looks good! They also dated me at 12 weeks 5 days, eek 😀

rach971 · 17/05/2026 18:08

@Cheesecake93 Fantastic news 😊 and nice to be further along than you thought!

MsPussinBoots · 17/05/2026 18:52

@Cheesecake93 that's wonderful!
@seasonOfChange I hope you have equally reassuring news tomorrow.

Oh that’s good to know it happens to others!
I’ve also been spotting brown for the last few weeks, hoping that’s normal too. Had a strange stringy stuff last night too which wasn’t discharge. I’m having a scan on Tuesday so hoping for the best 😊

PhoenixSTL · 17/05/2026 20:26

Guys, please help me before I spiral.

I've been pretty chill so far if I've had some pink spotting, as it's only been one wipe and that's it. But I'm very anxious now that something is wrong.

Yesterday, there was a bit of blood streaked in with my discharge. I've just been to the loo, and had more pink spotting than I've had throughout the pregnancy. With a bit more blood as well.

No cramping, but my anxieties are through the roof now. My miscarriage started with pink spotting that wouldn't stop throughout the whole day, before I finally went to A&E that night.
