I just today got a text message with the results&& I’m guessing I will also get a letter or maybe it will be uploaded on to my nhs app

I had mine on Thursday afternoon and the results were available online yesterday morning. My Trust uses MyCare rather than Badger so might be a bit different. I also had a letter through the post this morning with a print out of the screening results and an information leaflet as I need to start aspirin asap.

Thanks both, I thought I should have heard by now and currently on hold trying to get through to antenatal clinic to check.

@Lookingtogrowthefamily my trust uses a different system to those mentioned and I had a phone call as it was high chance but I would have expected you to hear by now. They say no news is good news but you are supposed to get a letter or digital equivalent eventually.

@howluckyarewe I don’t know exactly what you mean by ‘that mum’ but I like your honesty and can’t argue with water, steps and skincare! SPF is extra important in pregnancy - I got lots of extra freckles first time round just from getting caught out once or twice, not even burning but just got extra freckles on my neck and chest that have stayed ever since.

I was on hold for 40 mins trying to get through before giving up as I had to leave to pick up my toddler. Will try again in the morning though. Just curious if there’s a backlog maybe, or if it’s been misplaced. Thanks @hollyhocks2 x

@hollyhocks2 yes I have got to remember suncream! I avoid the sun most the time anyway. I got more freckles this and moles time and started stressing about melanoma, then my DD tells me about freckles on the palm of her hand, and I'm anxiously googling...its fine she's the age most common to get them. But I was in a boring training session at work and counted endless frackles/moles on my arm. I am crap at water and skincare, allthough always walking, I don't track my steps but when I did they were double the recommended. I have a semi-active job.

Anyone else getting headaches? In a previous pregnancy, headaches and migraines started in the 2nd trimester, mostly triggered by my work environment so I had to take sick leave and early maternity in the end. I am just turned 16 weeks and had a headache almost every day for a week. Mostly waking with it, but not today. I know I have a few days off work so it's a bit of an experiment to see if work is the cause. I had to take time off work not long before I was pregnant for a migraine, the first a had in years. But had a smooth first trimester and stopped getting headaches when I stopped having periods. Step one will be drink more water and I'll mention it to my midwife on Monday.

@Alwaysgrowing i had headaches but in the first trimester. I read they can be for various reasons. In my case I think they could have been oestrogen related (I was taking high oestrogen, which I then stopped. Oestrogen also continues to rise through pregnancy). I read that magnesium (within recommended dose) can be helpful and electrolytes but they didn’t do anything for me. I also tried to up my protein which I had struggled with and that might have helped me a bit. Hydration is what my midwife mentioned.

@Alwaysgrowing I always get headaches, have done for years (probably work stress) they completely disappeared first trimester but for the last week or so seem to have returned, I'm 16 weeks today too so maybe a 2nd trimester thing?

I actually came here looking to see if anyone had mentioned headaches. Had the worst headaches the last couple of days, nothing seems to shift them. Vaguely remember this from last time round 😩

Not sure if anyone is still on here or if everyone’s move across to WhatsApp… just wanted to check in to see how everyone’s doing?
I had a 16w scan last week and everything looked ok so far. Went back today for a follow up with the consultant that turned into another scan with Fetal medicine and again everything ok - though the more detailed anomaly scan is still to come in 3 weeks.

@Lookingtogrowthefamily I haven't moved to WhatsApp just yet; waiting to see how busy it gets first. The last due date club I was in ended up with 100's in the WhatsApp, and it was too many messages for me. Plus I don't think that many people can be properly vetted & WhatsApp has more personal info, so I'll hold out to see if this one remains small.

Glad your scan went well - any ideas on gender? 💙💖

@Niftymum88 do you have any predictions what you're having? I started feeling flutters this week which is surreal!! It was 20+ weeks on my first, and 18 on my second.

Awhh lovely to have that booked in and see baby too! @Niftymum88. The wait between scan and movements is hard isn’t it but hopefully you will feel movement soon.

I’ve got an anterior placenta again so not expecting to feel anything for a few weeks yet, although I know what sensation it is this time so maybe it’ll be a bit earlier than my first!

@howluckyareweIm not so keen on WhatsApp for those reasons so hopefully a few happy to chat on here still. How many weeks are you now? How lush to start feeling flutters 🥹.

Didnt find out the gender, we’re keeping it a surprise until birth again so when she went down to the bladder I was like stoppppp 😂 looked away haha x

We already have 5 girls, 21/18/16/13/10 so it would be lovely to have a boy but I have a feeling it won’t be 😅🙈

@Lookingtogrowthefamily I have a posterior placenta again this time, though my second was anterior. I did find a big difference between posterior & anterior for sensation, though probably because my first's personality in the womb matched their personality outside too - livewire.

Based on LMP I'm 15 weeks 2 days, though baby is measuring a little ahead. Ours is a third boy based on the dating scan, so consultants have already warned me he'll probably match his brothers for size and I might need to deliver a little earlier than due date.

How amazing to wait to get the surprise! We planned to do that on our second, but had an over eager sonographer. Then this time my DH asked and the sonographer answered before I even had time to think.

@Niftymum88 wow 5 girls!! I just started working with a coworker with 6 daughters; what a household. I'm half tempted to keep going for 7 sons, just because of how fab that sounds. 😆

Hi I’m still keeping an eye on this! Am not in the December WhatsApp group. I had a scan this week around 17 weeks and baby seems all good and I found out we’re having a second girl. Wonder if they’ll be similar or different. Can’t imagine 5 girls @Niftymum88that’s incredible.

I’ve felt some movements too, so it’s all feeling much more real this week. Movements plus knowing what it is, plus starting to think about names. Eek!

@Niftymum88 we're nearly due date twins! Mines 21st. Were your other DC born close to their dates?

@hollyhocks2 my first two shocked me by being polar opposites in both looks and personality! They're absolute besties though. Glued at the hip, spend most of the day fighting or laughing, and are currently begging to share a room (we like sleep too much to agree).

We actually thought we'd be done at two, but it was so lovely going from 1-2 we chanced one more.

Wow @Niftymum88 5 girls! I can imagine you are so eager to find out if baby is another girl!

Oh really, that’s interesting with the difference in placenta placing and feeling movements @howluckyarewe I’m hoping by 20w I might feel something this time and it won’t be as late as first time round cause that was a bit of a worry 🙈. Awh lovely another boy for you! Will they be offering you extra scans to keep an eye on growth if he’s predicted to be a big baby?

Seems like there’s a trend here with siblings being the same gender… I wonder if that’ll be the case with me and have another boy haha!

@howluckyarewe all born before due date and one was born on her due date. So fingers crossed I’m home for Christmas 😅
