@wonderlust07 I'm 230 so roughly the same time as you, also working this morning and expecting it to be the longest day ever

Ncl31 · 27/05/2026 08:23

Mine as at 11:00, hubby isn’t sure do he’s going to make it as he’s stuck at work. Trying desperately hard to get there. My mum is on standby just so I don’t have to go alone.
id much rather hubby was there though, but I’m trying not to stress about it.
never got to a dating scan appointment as we’ve always lost our little ones before now, so today feels like a big deal

Ncl31 · 27/05/2026 08:23

I hope everyone else’s scans go well

Oh fingers crossed he makes it and all goes well.

Good luck everyone having their scans today!
Mine is on Monday and our little girl is off school that day, so we're hoping to tell her all being well. She touched my tummy yesterday and asked how you know if you're pregnant... she has definitely sussed!

NewAgeDawning · 27/05/2026 09:20

Scan done, all seems ok. Now off to do my nipt

howluckyarewe · 27/05/2026 10:20

@NewAgeDawning lovely news! Hope the blood draw is as painfree as possible.

Best of luck to everyone having scans today. @Ncl31 I really hope your DH can make it, a huge milestone. 🤞🏼

@Alwaysgrowing I also have a detached sense from this pregnancy, and I think it's because I'm so busy I don't have time to daydream about it in the same way. With two kids at home it's all systems go, and then balancing work and life on top of that leaves little time. Plus this group is lovely for support, but it does really highlight that nothing is guaranteed. Think it's natural to guard our hearts a bit with seeing so many losses.

It is such a long morning!

Alwaysgrowing · 27/05/2026 10:46

Yes, I'm so busy, plus it's my daughters birthday coming up, so probably I'll just try not to overthink it. I think a few weeks ago I was more excited but now just drained. Also, I tried to bring my first scan a bit sooner than 14 weeks but have stopped trying after a few times because it seems like a waste of mental space, having to rearrange our life around an appointment time. My kids new from early on and my 3 year old tried to drag a bag of baby clothes out of the cupboard this morning saying we'll get this out for the baby. That was quite sweet.

Just a funny one, I did change an appointment I received through the post as it clashes with my daughter's assembly on her birthday. Id actually taken the day off so I could collect her from school/ make a cake/ be more relaxed. But unfortunately there were no other times that day so it's a week later. But the letter I got after I changed it was extremely apologetic, about how for unforeseen circumstances they had to cancel my booked appointment... but it was me. 🤣

Em3009 · 27/05/2026 11:30

@NewAgeDawning im glad everything is looking ok for you! :) how do you feel now? X

Desperatelyseekingme · 27/05/2026 11:34

@wonderlust07 It really is, feels like it should be end of the day

SausageRoll90 · 27/05/2026 11:39

Great to hear about good scans yesterday and thinking of those having scans today 🙏🏻

Is anyone else struggling with the heat more than they expected? If I was heavily pregnant in a heatwave like I was when I was carrying my son, I can understand but God I feel awful. I feel like my sickness is worse, I'm so hot it's unbearable, my energy is zero and I just feel generally unwell. I know fro my booking my BP is on the lower end so maybe the heat is making that a bit wobbly but god I feel rubbish! I had to come home early from work yesterday. Today is my non work day and I've never been more grateful for my son having an early nap 🥵😭🙈

NewAgeDawning · 27/05/2026 12:53

@SausageRoll90yes, ive been feeling so rubbish. Moving, talking, sleeping, walking... everything is difficult. I usually go for a walk but because of the heat ive been sat on my arse which im sure makes it all worse. Last couple days of this I think?

howluckyarewe · 27/05/2026 13:05

@Alwaysgrowing happy birthday to your little one! I think when we get scans / feel them move it'll be a little more exciting. First trimester with DC is exhausting, second trimester will definitely be more our vibe.

@SausageRoll90 yes it's been horrid. Spent my non- work day getting sunburnt in the paddling pool yesterday and wish I was back in it today. I WFH so half tempted to bring the laptop out and chance it. Back to 5 days to deliver a project from end of June, and semi dreading it.

frolickinglamb · 27/05/2026 13:45

@NewAgeDawning glad your scan went well!

best of the luck the rest this afternoon!

had my booking appointment this morning, midwife was lovely. Funnily enough saw her towards end of my first pregnancy. She has already done referral to obstetrics as with twins will need extra appointments and things. Also, Who knew there were so many types of twins!? Sharing a placenta, separate placentas, sharing a sack, separate sacks 😂😂 apparently some are more high risk than others and will dictate my birth choices. Will find out what I have at 12 week scan

SausageRoll90 · 27/05/2026 13:49

@NewAgeDawning @howluckyarewe ohh I'm glad it's not just me struggling. Genuinely so difficult to navigate when I've also not told people in work that I'm pregnant (except my line manager) so I'm trying to just carry on but jesus it's hard work. I usually do enjoy the warmer days but in this current chapter I'm looking forward to it cooling down again. X

Ncl31 · 27/05/2026 14:02

Scan all done and everything looked perfect. Due date now 6th December but I’ll deliver by elective section at around 39 weeks so likely a November baby now.
plus it’s my dads 60th on 29th November so that’ll be a nice gift for him.

Em3009 · 27/05/2026 15:10

@Ncl31 aww amazing! I’m so glad it went well for you!

SausageRoll90 · 27/05/2026 15:58

That's great news @Ncl31 💕 so pleased for you

NewAgeDawning · 27/05/2026 16:11

@Ncl31so good, congratulations! Loving all the 12 week scan news x

NewAgeDawning · 27/05/2026 16:12

@Ncl31what was your original date? Mines the 8th december now

wonderlust07 · 27/05/2026 16:22

Scan all done & looking good! Due date 10th December.

NewAgeDawning · 27/05/2026 16:22

@wonderlust07 congratulations! Another early december baby xx

Desperatelyseekingme · 27/05/2026 16:44

Scan done and all looks okay with baby except my blood pressure was high so the doctor wants to start me on medication and bloods tomorrow for pre-eclampsia (which is bizarre as I thought this was only after 20weeks) so feeling a bit deflated and upset 😢 due date 2/12

congrats to everyone else on their positive scan news today x

frolickinglamb · 27/05/2026 16:53

@Ncl31 @wonderlust07 @Desperatelyseekingme congrats on all your scans!! Great to read your good news.
